"Applying the Scriptures to Every Sphere of Life and Thought,
Promoting the Biblical and Christian Worldview"
Reconstructionist belief in the primacy for God's law and therefore the state or nation's laws must reflect and be dependent upon God's Law as presented in the Bible. Wherever God's people, His willingly obedient subjects, are obeying Him in every aspect of their lives, there is where the King's Kingdom is being brought forth in this world in time and space to implement His Biblical worldview.

Crazy Conservative Bloggers On Fort Hood Shooter
Cenk Uygur TYT The Young Turks-Nov. 6
Our old friend & foe Conservative Blogger Pamela Gellar at Atlas Shrugs in her typical Insane Ayn Rand conservatism goes on a rant against the shooter at Fort Hood. Yes it is a terrible tragedy which police and others are trying to understand better. Of course once Pam Gellar discovers the man is a Muslim and a Palestinian she assumes the worst in her usual bigoted fashion. She can then almost immediately divine that the attack wasn't just some soldier who was going to be posted to Iraq loosing his head and going on a rampage. She characterizes the man as a Muslim extremists who had infiltrated the US military even before 9/11 and was planing to commit some horrific attack on "Real Americans".
What if he had been white and Christian like Timothy McVeigh who is a hero of the New"Radical Conservative Movement" to which Pam Gellar belongs. Like other leading figures in the movement they will use any incident no matter how petty or tragic as grist for the ideological mill which includes bashing Muslims at every chance they can get.
Gellar ignore some of the facts known about the shooter that his not just an MD but is a psychiatrist who worked counseling soldiers suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Which would in itself be an extremely stressful situation to be in. He would be hearing the worst possible stories about the Iraq war. He also had some psychological difficulties in the past and maybe he should have been put in a less stressful situation be relieved of duty and put on a pension. One way of looking at the situation is that the US military failed him. He had complained about being harassed after 9/11 for being a Muslim and it appears little was done about his concerns.
We know from what has gone on in the US and its military since 9/11 is that there is a lot of tolerance for Muslim bashing -soldiers are trained and taught to call Iraqis and afghans "Hajis" which is an insult or they are referred to as "Camel Jockeys" "Rag Heads" "Sand Niggers" and to see all Iraqis as the enemy and that all Muslims in fact want to die a glorious death rather than live a good life which is untrue except for extremists and fanatics. The Iraqis and Mulims are seen as either less than human or as demon possessed since Islam they are told not just by miliary officers but by the Chaplains and by civilian pastors that Muslims are following a religion invented by Satan and is therefore an enemy of Christianity and America which is God's chosen land and people. Therefore killing them just for sport is fine as is torturing and abusing POWS(detainees) even Obama refuses to call them POWS. This of course doesn't excuse his murdering 13 soldiers.
But we shouldn't jump to conclusions which has become a bad habit in our society when something tragic occurs . This is a phenomenon one can see on American Television every night of the week as CNN and Fox News try to fill in the time for example Nancy Grace who just a few minutes after a crime occurs she and he guests are speculating about what happened and making up stuff as they go along to keep their audience entertained but these commentators and reporters are no better than any down in the dirt Tabloid.
You'll remember I did a few posts on the Christian convert Rifqa who came from an American Muslim family who claimed her father was going to kill her because she converted to Christianity. It was in response to comments mad by Pam Gellar and others on conservative blogs, talk radio and tv that I felt there was something not quite right or Kosher about the whole issue. When you Rifqa 's story a lot of it is contradictory and doesn't make a lot of sense. So anyway it appeared to me that Pam gellar and others didn't really care about Rifqa as much as they cared about using her to prove that all Muslims are fanatics and should be incarcerated and not permitted to enter the United States as Lou Dobbs, Glenn Beck, Limbaugh & Michael Savage have all said on one occasion or another.
Lt Colonel Allen West Tells it Straight on Fort Hood Jihad, the Worst Islamic Terror Attack since 911 "enemy is infiltrating our military." Nov. 6, 2009 Pam Gellar at Atlas Shrugs
The 39-year-old Army psychiatrist emerged as a study in contradictions: a polite man who stewed with discontent, a counselor who needed to be counseled himself, a professional healer now suspected of cutting down the fellow soldiers he was sworn to help.(her emphasis)
[...]. A recent classmate said Hasan once gave a jarring presentation to students in which he argued the war on terrorism was a war against Islam, and "made himself a lightning rod for things" when he felt his religious beliefs were challenged.
Investigators were trying to piece together how and why Hasan allegedly gunned down his comrades in the worst case of violence on a military base in the U.S. The rampage unfolded at a center where some 300 unarmed soldiers were lined up for vaccines and eye tests.
Soldiers reported that the gunman shouted "Allahu Akbar!" _ an Arabic phrase for "God is great!" _ before opening fire Thursday, said Lt. Gen. Robert Cone, the post commander. He said officials had not confirmed Hasan made the comment.
asking why this happened, and the answer is that we simply do not know."
...Army Chief of Staff George Casey said he asked bases around the country to assess their security. He also said he was worried about a backlash against the thousands of Muslim soldiers serving dutifully in uniform.
Oh, please. Nobody bothers them. Worry about the infidels, asshat.
( Gord's aside: Pam Gellar of course ignores the million dead Iraqis as Ayn Rand herself would. If going to war is good for big business then war it is-perpetual war. So if some American soldiers were to beat up or kill their fellow soldiers who happen to be Muslim, or Palestinian or Arab etc that would just be fine for MS Gellar-but like her hero Ayn Rand she believes sympathy, compassion , altruism and the Sermon on the Mount is Bunkum a lot of nonsense to try to undermine those like Pam Gellar who are superior to everyone else and to whom the rest of society according to Ayn Rand are supposed to pay homage because all that matters is the Will to Power of the EXCEPTIONAL of course in order to keep her large audience she plays down some these inconvenient truths about Ayn Rand who was just a Fascist who believed Corporations and the Elite including the intellectual elite who were contributing sound ideas to society should rule. Religion was merely a tool to keep the masses in line. /GORD.)
and the article continues:
Hasan was due to be deployed to Afghanistan to help soldiers with combat stress, a task he'd done stateside with returning soldiers, the Army said. Army spokeswoman Col. Cathy Abbott was uncertain when Hasan was to leave but he was in the preparation stage of deployment, which can take months.
In any event, the major was saying goodbyes and dispensing belongings to neighbors.
Jose Padilla, the owner of Hasan's apartment complex, said Hasan gave him notice two weeks ago that he was moving out this week.
Jose Padilla, now that's rich.
another aside: someone tell me what in the wild world of sports does this mean- because the landlord is possibly a Cuban or Latino American or an illegal-immigrant - the only Jose Padilla I know of was the Latino who with the help of the CIA blew up the first passenger airline with a bomb killing the Cuban fencing team of teenagers but he is also a hero of the "Radical Conservative Movement" American government protected him for years even though he was a terrorists but of course as they say"He was one of our Terrorists" that is he was anti-Castro and being a coward put a bomb on a civilian plane. If these Cuban exiles were so brave why didn't they satay and fight Castro as Castro spent years in the mountains and jungles fighting for his cause.
How Ayn Rand Became an American Icon-The perverse allure of a damaged woman.by Johann Hari,Slate.com,Nov. 2, 2009
Ayn Rand is one of America's great mysteries. She was an amphetamine-addicted author of sub-Dan Brown potboilers, who in her spare time wrote lavish torrents of praise for serial killers and the Bernie Madoff-style embezzlers of her day. She opposed democracy on the grounds that "the masses"—her readers—were "lice" and "parasites" who scarcely deserved to live. Yet she remains one of the most popular writers in the United States, still selling 800,000 books a year from beyond the grave. She regularly tops any list of books that Americans say have most influenced them. Since the great crash of 2008, her writing has had another Benzedrine rush, as Rush Limbaugh hails her as a prophetess. With her assertions that government is "evil" and selfishness is "the only virtue," she is the patron saint of the tea-partiers and the death panel doomsters. So how did this little Russian bomb of pure immorality in a black wig become an American icon?
and:
What I do find incomprehensible is that there are people—large numbers of people—who see her writing not as psychopathy but as philosophy, and urge us to follow her. Why? What in American culture did she drill into? Unfortunately, neither of these equally thorough, readable books can offer much of an answer to this, the only great question about her.
Rand expresses, with a certain pithy crudeness, an instinct that courses through us all sometimes: I'm the only one who matters! I'm not going to care about any of you any more! She then absolutizes it in an amphetamine Benzedrine-charged reductio ad absurdum by insisting it is the only feeling worth entertaining, ever.
She said the United States should be a "democracy of superiors only," with superiority defined by being rich. Well, we got it. As the health care crisis has shown, today, the rich have the real power: The vote that matters is expressed with a checkbook and a lobbyist. We get to vote only for the candidates they have pre-funded and receive the legislation they have preapproved. It's useful—if daunting—to know that there is a substantial slice of the American public who believe this is not a problem to be put right, but morally admirable.
We all live every day with the victory of this fifth-rate Nietzsche of the mini-malls. Alan Greenspan was one of her strongest cult followers and even invited her to the Oval Office to witness his swearing-in when he joined the Ford administration. You can see how he carried this philosophy into the 1990s: Why should the Supermen of Wall Street be regulated to protected the lice of Main Street?
The figure Ayn Rand most resembles in American life is L. Ron Hubbard, another crazed, pitiable charlatan who used trashy potboilers to whip up a cult. Unfortunately, Rand's cult isn't confined to Tom Cruise and a rash of Hollywood dimwits. No, its ideas and its impulses have, by drilling into the basest human instincts, captured one of America's major political parties.
Cult of Ayn Rand & the Worship of Fascist Supermen Austin's Atheism Blog February 24, 2006
Objectivism and Libertarianism owe a great deal to the writings of Ayn Rand and both are typically associated with belief in expansive degrees of personal liberty. It is arguable, though, that Ayn Rand's writings exhibit a disturbing fascination of and interest in more fascist attitudes towards humanity and human social relations.
...Elizaberry writes:
[I]n the end what Ms. Rand describes are aliens. They are not honestly human. The "bad guys" are so relentlessly incompetent and wrong in every choice. The heroes, despite their insistent on the rational/objective/concrete, experience an almost psychic bond symptomized with heart palpitations, swooning, a reeling of the mind; very romantic, this idealist meets idealist. [...]
I'm afraid her recommendations of no government oversight work only with CHARACTERS, not people. She can recommend no governing body for these paperdolls because they are firmly in her control. She can suggest no laws regarding commerce, because as the author, SHE herself is the law guiding her heroes to ethical business transactions.
Perhaps Rand and her followers have never realized this because they don't realize that real people aren't characters — their ideas about human beings are more caricatures than real-life understandings about how real-life people work.

And now back to our regular program which is in progress; sort of because I wasn't planing on commenting on the Fort Hood shooting but there you go & there was a power outage-what to do without the computer or internet..
President Obama has again been proven wrong in his choice of Pastor Rick Warren to speak at his inauguration since the guy is no better James Jennedy, James Dobson, Pat Robertson, John Hagee or the other Old Timey Religion types who would prefer it if Homosexuals were forced back into the closet or even jailed for acts of sodomy.
Pastor Rick Warren is no liberal Evangelical-he is in fact anti-Gay- His ministry encourages hatred of Gays in America and even more so in his overseas operations where it appears he believes he is no longer under American Laws or even common sense or decency. So those he converted to his Evangelical Radical Fundamentalist theology have acted upon the underlying message of Hate and that God's Law must be the Law of All Godly Nations or God will punish or destroy unGodly nations.
So they continue spreading their message of intolerance. So not content to keep their Americanized bastardized brand of Evangelical Fundamentalist Christianity they insist on spreading this narrow-minded bigoted interpretation of the Bible to the rest of the world. Meanwhile these hypocrites attack Muslims for attempting to spread their faith. Christianity is not such a benign theology anymore than Islam both have a great deal of blood on their hands. I fear for their sake Jesus and Muhammad may have abandoned them both.
U.S. Rightwing Evangelicals Stoke Antigay Hatred in Africa
Political Research Associates is calling on Pastor Rick Warren to oppose an antigay bill currently being debated in the Ugandan legislature promoted by his allies. From Waco Texas and the Branch Davidians to Tim McVeigh and the Oklahoma Bombing the militant anti-government rhetoric has been taken up by the Likes of Glenn Beck, Michelle Bachman, Michelle Malkin,Sean Hannity , Rush Limbaugh and Fox News
In March 2008, Warren told Ugandans that homosexuality is not a natural way of life and thus not a human right.
Now the country is debating a bill that would lead to life imprisonment for gay sex, and death for those having same sex relations if they are HIV positive or having sex with someone under 18, plus criminalize any human rights organizing for LGBT rights.
"Fox News' Militia & Media: Mainstreaming the Fringe" By Eric Boehlert at Media Matters,April 16, 2009
What Fox News is doing today is embracing the same kind of hate rhetoric and doomsday conspiratorial talk that flourished during the '90s, and Fox News is now dumping all that rancid stuff into the mainstream. It's legitimizing accusatory hate speech in a way no other television outlet in America ever has before.
...Based on the paranoid, anti-government rhetoric that Fox News has embraced since President Obama's inauguration, it's no leap to suspect that if Murdoch's outlet were broadcasting in the early 1990s -- and if it were broadcasting the same fringe message it's echoing today -- that the militia movement would have found a friend in Fox News during the Waco era and throughout Clinton's first term, when the conspiratorial patriot movements flourished.
...the inherent dangers and irresponsibility of Fox News consciously shaping itself into a kind of militia news outlet and how it's impossible to ignore the anti-government message some viewers such as Richard Poplawski, the man accused of shooting and killing three Pittsburgh police officers, might be taking from Fox News.
...Fox News is actively trying to mainstream fringe allegations...Murdoch's outlet functions as a crucial bridge -- a transmitter -- between the radical and the everyday.
Right-Bloggers React to Fort Hood Exactly as Expected by Roy Edroso, Alicublog November 6, 2009.
Muuuuuuuuslim!
FIGHTIN' KEYBOARDERS CALLED BACK INTO ACTION. We'll probably be reading a lot of idiotic stuff about Fort Hood, but it'll be hard to top this from Robert Stacy McCain:
The people who want to kill you are not Tea Party protesters or accountants from Saranac Lake, N.Y. They're not Kentucky populists or Belgian radicals.
Anyone who wants to distract you from real dangers by telling you to fear this week's pet bogeyman -- global warming! creationists! Ron Paul! -- is not your friend. They are fools and liars who cannot be trusted. They are objectively evil.
The only through-line I can detect in this incoherent gush is this: Liberals are trying to distract you so their friend the Arab terrorist can kill you. So don't shit your pants like they want you to -- shit your pants like Robert Stacy McCain wants you to!
"Report: Hasan Snapped Under Weight of Bullying, Anxiety Over Deployment" by Joshua Holland, AlterNet November 6, 2009.
That's not stopping the usual suspects from crying "jihad."
It goes without saying that the usual suspects would view the tragic events at Fort Hood as an act of terror inspired by "jihadism." A soldier, a Muslim of Palestinian descent, reportedly shouted "God is great!" before opening fire on soldiers awaiting deployment to Iraq and Afghanistan.
If one is already inclined to see terrorists lurking beneath one's bed, naturally that's a neat end to the story, and supports whatever simplistic notions about Islam and terrorism one might hold.
and check out Media Matters Right-wing media respond to Fort Hood shooting by attacking American Muslims
November 06, 2009
Right-wing media figures have used the shooting at Fort Hood as an excuse to attack Islam and American Muslims in particular, with Debbie Schlussel, for example, urging readers to think of the alleged shooter "whenever you hear about how Muslims serve their country in the U.S. military." Additionally, commentators have blamed the shooting on "political correctness," with Fox News host Brian Kilmeade suggesting the implementation of "special debriefings" for Muslim American soldiers to prevent future attacks.
and so it goes,
