Campaignful Satyrical Video & CNNs Sexist Pundit's "Vagina Monologues" & Obama's War On Terror Follies

" National Review’s Ryan-Romney cover resembles Soviet propaganda "The Case For Romney" gets a little bit Communist " By Jillian Rayfield at Salon.com, Sept. 07,2012

Irony , lack of imagination or just plain stupidity ---Above image is an actual cover for the National Review and here commentator Jullian Rayfield at Salon.com has juxtaposed to it for comparison an old Soviet Communist propaganda image.

Difficult to understand what the editors of National Review were thinking when they allowed this image to be placed upon its cover . If Obama campaign had used similar image of Obama and Biden the rightwing would have gone ballistic presenting as proof that Obama is a secret communist .

Were they trying to defend the Romney Ryan campaign or trying to undermine it or they thought it was somehow funny or what.

In this biting satirical video of what may be going on in Republican campaign headquarters we get a bit of absurdist theatre in which truth has not got anything to do with a political campaign in this case Romney/Ryan campaign.

Video: Inside the Minds of the GOP Katie Halper post at Alternet.org, Sept. 04,2012

Do Mitt Romney's birther " joke," Rick Santorum's hands fetish (and I had him pegged as an ass man), and Paul Ryan's compulsive lying make you wonder what exactly the strategists behind the RNC are thinking? Well, we took a stab at figuring that out. Here's a sneak peak at what we can only imagine goes on behind the closed doors of Republican spin doctors. It turns out, they knew about Clint Eastwood and the empty chair!

Campaignful: GOP Strategists Discuss the RNC 2012

Reality-Check: Truth be told the Obama campaign advisers are aslo faced with issues regarding truth about the Obama administration and its actions compared to selling an image which ignores some of those truths
ie Obama's foreign policies in action, the War on Drugs, the War on undocumented Immigrants, Obama's war on the #OWS movement and his attacks on the Anti-war movement and other dissenters and dissidents such as incarcerated Bradley Manning and his verbal attacks on Whistleblowers calling them the enemy within and demonizing for example Julianne Assange and Wikileaks.

But we can also add that Obama has given in time and again to Big Bussiness and other wealthy interest groups

GOP and conservative's war on women is alive and well at CNN

" Petition for CNN to fire Erick Erickson gets more than 100k signatures " After he referred to the DNC as the "Vagina Monologues"
By Jillian Rayfield at salon.com,Sept. 07, 2012

Could this be the final straw for Erick “David Souter is a “goat-f*cker” Erickson?

Erickson, who’s both a CNN contributor and blogger for the conservative website Red State, is being targeted by a women’s advocacy group after he tweeted this about the female speakers during day one of the DNC:
First night of the Vagina Monologues in Charlotte going as expected.
— Erick Erickson (@EWErickson) September 5, 2012
He tweeted an apology shortly after:
"My apologies to those offended by my tweet.Wasn’t my intention."
— Erick Erickson (@EWErickson) September 5, 2012
But that wasn’t enough for the women’s advocacy group UltraViolet, which shortly after launched a petition to get him yanked off of CNN. “Seriously?” the petition asks. “He hears powerful, eloquent women talking about crucial issues and that’s his reaction? Perhaps it shouldn’t be that surprising, given his history of insulting women.” It then noted how Erickson defended Rush Limbaugh’s attack on Sandra Fluke.

The petition got about 23,000 signatures in over an hour, and by Friday had surpassed 100,000.

It’s unclear whether this will have any impact on CNN, since they hired Erickson even after he referred to then-Supreme Court Justice David Souter as a “goat f*cking child molestor” in April, 2009. Given its ratings, though, 100,000 people probably sounds like a lot to CNN

Even with a black American as president Racism is still alive in the USA at least at the state level of government .President Obama appears timid in his response or lack of response to legislators creating new voter regulations to prevent large numbers of Democrats and especially blacks from voting who generally support the Democratic party.

Obama should be insiting the AGs office investigate racist regulations and laws being passed in individual states. But he has a further duty as president to speak out against state regulations which help to disenfranchise and lessen the voting power of minority groups . He should be mentioning such illegal tactics in every speech he makes so that those who pass such legilation or regulations are put on notice.

President Obama after failing on a number of domestic policy issues and foreign policy is trying to convince voters that this time he means what he says and will keep his promises. But as we have seen over the last four years that when Obama does try to do the right thing he folds when there is opposition from Republicans or conservative Democrats. In especially foreign policy and the Global War on Terror and National Security as we have seen Obma has used the same policies as the former Bush Regime .

For example when Obama decided to answer questions asked by those who use the internet he made jokes that the #1 question had to do with questioning the underlying justifications for the decades old War on Drugs. This to millions of Americans is an important issue as hundreds of thousands of US citizens are arrested and charged with criminal offenses . Obama has also not done away with the crude policy of the strikes you're out which allows authorites to put those being up on charges for the third time to be incarcerated if found guilty and their businesses or property can be seized as illicit goods.

In fact Obama has unleashed federal agencies to even go after those involved in the medical usage of Marijuana. So even the use of medical marijuana is considered a crime and can only lead to undermining America's core values . For some mysterious reason Obama and other neo-liberals agree with the Republicans and other conservatives that all now illegal drugs are evil and that those who sell them and those who use them by definition are evil and unAmerican.

Obama is continuing to fill up the American prison system with people charged on drug related offenses. Those alleged criminals once charged with a felon are not just given a punishment which suits the crimes such as several years in jail or on probation but under American law these alleged felons loose many of their rights including the right to vote for the rest of their lives.

In other countries once someone is released from prison they are supposed to be treated as if they had now paid for that crime but not in USA. In Canada for instance people convicted of a crime who become inmates of prisons still have the right to vote while incarcerated and after being released.

In the USA the penal system is built upon punishment only and the more someone suffers while in prison the better according to most lawmakers and their constituents and not on rehabilitation of inmates or of giving them second chances after being released from prison.

Meanwhile Obama has had a timid or muted response to calls for increased regulations on citizens buying guns such as assault rifles or ordering thousands of rounds of bullets without some form of background check . The only background check appears to be checking that the person has the cash on hand or has a credit card in good standing.

US Drone Strikes Target Rescuers in Pakistan – and the West Stays Silent :Attacking rescuers – a tactic long deemed by the US a hallmark of terrorism – is now routinely used by the Obama administration By Glenn Greenwald, Information Clearing House, August 20m 2012

...But attacking rescuers (and arguably worse, bombing funerals of America's drone victims) is now a tactic routinely used by the US in Pakistan. In February, the Bureau of Investigative Journalism documented that "the CIA's drone campaign in Pakistan has killed dozens of civilians who had gone to help rescue victims or were attending funerals." Specifically: "at least 50 civilians were killed in follow-up strikes when they had gone to help victims." That initial TBIJ report detailed numerous civilians killed by such follow-up strikes on rescuers, and established precisely the terror effect which the US government has long warned are sown by such attacks:

"Yusufzai, who reported on the attack, says those killed in the follow-up strike 'were trying to pull out the bodies, to help clear the rubble, and take people to hospital.' The impact of drone attacks on rescuers has been to scare people off, he says: 'They've learnt that something will happen. No one wants to go close to these damaged building anymore.'"

Since that first bureau report, there have been numerous other documented cases of the use by the US of this tactic: "On [4 June], US drones attacked rescuers in Waziristan in western Pakistan minutes after an initial strike, killing 16 people in total according to the BBC. On 28 May, drones were also reported to have returned to the attack in Khassokhel near Mir Ali." Moreover, "between May 2009 and June 2011, at least 15 attacks on rescuers were reported by credible news media, including the New York Times, CNN, ABC News and Al Jazeera."
