Of course to Americans , Canadians and other NATO nations these dead Iraqis are of no great consequence .In the same manner the British when they murdered several million indigenous peoples in various countries they insisted all of these peoples from India to Mesopotamia to Arabia to Africa, the Americas or Asia were after all subhuman and uncivilized believing in a different religion or had different priorities or had a different etiquette.
The Americans believed and still do that whatever they do is part of God's plan for America and for the world. For those not religious it is all a matter of Manifest Destiny and other BS to rationalize oppressing and mass murdering people in order to force them to kow tow to America and the West.
UPDATE Trayvon Martin Zimmerman makes court appearance pleads not guilty.
Will the justice system operate as it should or is this all just PR stunt to assuage those upset by the death of Trayvon who was racially profiled and killed by George Zimmerman.
The main issue of this case is that police and justice system once again treated this crime differently than if the victim were white and the shooter black.
Racism in one form of another is still alive and well.
The police forces across America seem to have declared war on Black Americans.
Racial profiling has increased over the years not decreased.

And now we are given more evidence that Team Bush knew torture was illegal but insisted attorneys in the DOJ and JAG etc. would do as they were told and create a legal justification/ or veneer for torture. So attorney Zelikow was forced out of the Bush Team because he wouldn't play ball. As we known Bush and the neocons held loyalty to Bush and Cheney as more important than the law per se or personal or professional integrity. We now see much of this sort of cronyism and misplaced loyalty with the Obama Team. What matters most in both regimes is to tow the regime's party line and talking points.
We have also watched as Obama and his true believers make excuses for him on a number of issues on which he has flip-flopped to appease the GOP and the 1% whom he like other US presidents serve.
So Obama was against torture and was open to investigations of the Bush Regime and how it trampled the US constitution, the Bill of Rights and lied to the American people and refused to uphold international laws and agreements to which the US had signed onto. So Obama indiscriminately bombed Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Yemen, Libya ,Somalia etc. The US uner Bush and Obama used chemical weapons such as White Phosphorus /Napalm on civilian populations and cluster bombs which are designed to kill and maim civilians meanwhile he runs the same secret and barbaric war against the so-called terrorists who more and more just look like patriotic citizens defending their HOMELAND against bloody oppressive invaders and conquerors who are hated by the majority of peoples in these various nations.
After destroying most of Libya and killing tens of thousands Obama 's Team want to bomb the crap out of Syria and Iran.
The so called resistance in Libya may have begun as a reform movement but it was quickly taken over by extremist financed and supported by the USA and NATO and now they are doing the same in Syria and Iran.
So even though the Obama Machine and NATO and other Western allies are fueling these extremists by giving them financial support and maybe a few hundred US advisers ie CIA, Special Ops. on the ground and giving them weapons these nations are not permitted to defend themselves from these foreign backed extremists insurgents.

So while Obama tries to score points on various issues by playing to would be supporters such as OWS the Occupy Movement by claiming to be on the side of Occupy and the 99% when in fact he has pushed through measures to help the rich and powerful on Wall St. and the Lobbyists on K street while ignoring Main Street.Like Bush and most American presidents Obama is far from being a member of the 99% though he and Team Obama have created a rags to riches narrative and the pursuit of legal and economic justice and a desire for an open accountable government. Obama may identify with Trayvon Martin's parents but the issue is will he insist on making law enforcement and state legislatures accountable for creating unjust laws and laws which are really more to do with racism than with law enforcement . Will Obama insist on reviewing these various laws which discriminate against certain groups of Americans ie Black Americans, Hispanic Americans , immigrants, Muslim Americans and other Non-Christians or the Gay Lesbian , Bisexual and Transgender Americans or laws passed which discriminate against women in America and so forth.

Bogus 'Ceasefire' in Syria as Washington Prepares War Pretext By Adam Ford April 11, 2012 "Information Clearing House"
-- To get some idea of how absurd the Syria situation is, imagine the following scenario:
The United States government is under attack by an insurgent group, which lists kidnappings and bombings in its modus operandi. The insurgents are being aided by Canada and Mexico, with Mexico planning to seize some US territory in order to create a 'humanitarian corridor'. Not surprisingly, the Obama administration tries to put down the insurgency. Sure, it is often brutal and uncaring in doing so, but when did any regime respond with passivity in the face of a guerrilla uprising? Meanwhile, threats from China and Russia have compelled Obama to agree to United Nations inspections, and finally a 'ceasefire'. But the terms of the ceasefire demanded by America's imperialist rivals stipulates that the government forces remove themselves from towns and villages first, before the 'rebels' stop their attacks forty-eight hours later.
In February I described how: "The past couple of months have seen a sustained effort to create a pretext for attacking Syria. The Syrian government - like the Libyan Gaddafi regime before it - is currently undertaking a brutal crackdown on the "rebel" movement which emerged from last year's 'Arab spring'. Of course, the same could be said of the Bahraini government for example, but Bahrain is an American ally. So the Obama administration is using its Arab League proxies - each of which receives large foreign aid and military assistance from US imperialism - to give the coming military intervention a regional popularist colouring."
This pretext could now be only hours away from its rollout. Yes, the Syrian 'rebels' have an extra forty-eight hours to continue their terrorism. If the regime of Bashar al-Assad puts up any defence during that time, you can expect the international powers and their lickspittle media to denounce him, and step up their support for the 'rebellion' - which is led by former regime figures and Islamists, and has no positive programme for the Syrian people. After that, the bloodletting will dramatically increase on all sides, and amongst civilians with no love for any army.
The imperialist struggle to remove Assad is for once not primarily based on the desire for control of natural resources within the nation ruled by the west's latest demon. Its aim is to remove the only regional government sympathetic to Iran, which is being targeted by hugely provocative economic sanctions ahead of an international conference on its nuclear programme.
The US and Israel are determined - for slightly different but overlapping reasons - to remove the clerical Iranian regime, and replace with one more willing to aid US imperialism. For Israel, Iran is a local rival, and it threatens its immediate sphere of influence. For the US, Iran is a massive source of oil wealth, albeit one that is presided over by a government allied to China and Russia - America's up and coming rivals on the world stage.
As for security Obama has encouraged more spying on all American citizens not just those suspected of giving aid or comfort to terrorists. The Obama government is spending 80 billion dollars a year just on the so-called intelligence and security complex . There is little or no oversight on the government agencies or the private contractors.
As in other instances this privatizing of intelligence gathering is bound to be corrupt since the more enemies these corporations can discover or over-hype or even event will be in their best interests. If there are no real and imminent threats to America then the government could scale back on the amount it spends on intelligence. So the more dangerous and numerous the threats are to America this then justifies these lucrative private contracts.

On March 22nd, Attorney General Eric Holder and Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, Jr. signed off on new guidelines allowing the National Counterterrorism Center (NCTC), a post-9/11 creation, to hold on to information about Americans in no way known to be connected to terrorism -- about you and me, that is -- for up to five years. (Its previous outer limit was 180 days.) This, Clapper claimed, “will enable NCTC to accomplish its mission more practically and effectively.”
...For most Americans, though, it was just life as we’ve known it since September 11, 2001, since we scared ourselves to death and accepted that just about anything goes, as long as it supposedly involves protecting us from terrorists. Basic information or misinformation, possibly about you, is to be stored away for five years -- or until some other attorney general and director of national intelligence think it’s even more practical and effective to keep you on file for 10 years, 20 years, or until death do us part -- and it hardly made a ripple.
... a new word surfaced on my horizon, one just eerie and ugly enough for our new reality: yottabyte. Thank National Security Agency (NSA) expert James Bamford for that. He wrote a piece for Wired magazine on a super-secret, $2 billion, one-million-square-foot data center the NSA is building in Bluffdale, Utah. Focused on data mining and code-breaking and five times the size of the U.S. Capitol, it is expected to house information beyond compare, “including the complete contents of private emails, cell phone calls, and Google searches, as well as all sorts of personal data trails -- parking receipts, travel itineraries, bookstore purchases, and other digital ‘pocket litter.’”
The NSA, adds Bamford, “has established listening posts throughout the nation to collect and sift through billions of email messages and phone calls, whether they originate within the country or overseas. It has created a supercomputer of almost unimaginable speed to look for patterns and unscramble codes. Finally, the agency has begun building a place to store all the trillions of words and thoughts and whispers captured in its electronic net.”
Which brings us to yottabyte -- which is, Bamford assures us, equivalant to septillion bytes, a number “so large that no one has yet coined a term for the next higher magnitude.” The Utah center will be capable of storing a yottabyte or more of information (on your tax dollar).
...Its urge is to data mine and decode the planet in an eternal search for enemies who are imagined to lurk everywhere, ready to strike at any moment. Anyone might be a terrorist or, wittingly or not, in touch with one, even perfectly innocent-seeming Americans whose data must be held until the moment when the true pattern of eneminess comes into view and everything is revealed.
In the new world of the National Security Complex, no one can be trusted -- except the officials working within it, who in their eternal bureaucratic vigilance clearly consider themselves above any law. The system that they are constructing (or that, perhaps, is constructing them) has no more to do with democracy or an American republic or the Constitution than it does with a Soviet-style state. Think of it as a phenomenon for which we have no name. Like the yottabyte, it’s something new under the sun, still awaiting its own strange and ugly moniker.
