Hate-Filled Anti-Islam Film Meant To Provoke Violence And Paul Ryan To Speak At Annual Religious Right Hate-Fest AKA "Values Voters Summit"

Anti-Muslim AKA " Islamophobes " behind the making of the inflammatory a-historical anti-Islam trashy insulting film about Islam and Muhammad and their faux outrage over the violent reactions by Islamic extremists to the films is just what these professional Islamophobics had hoped for .

Coptic Christian leader of organization that produced anti-Muslim film spoke at Pamela Geller’s anti-mosque rally"  by Alex Kane , Mondoweiss ,Sept. 13, 2012

The leader of the organization reportedly behind the anti-Muslim film sparking angry protests in the Middle East spoke at a rally opposing the Park 51 Islamic center in lower Manhattan last year. That rally, on September 11, 2010, was organized by Pamela Geller and Robert Spencer, two leading Islamophobic activists and bloggers in the U.S.
The California-based Press Telegram reports today that an organization called Media for Christ produced the Islamophobic film at the center of the controversy that has sparked widespread protests in the Middle East. The film, "Innocence of Muslims," portrays the Prophet Muhammad as a womanizer, a gay man and a child abuser. Depictions of the Prophet are considered blasphemous to Muslims...
So here is Coptic-Christian Egyptian Joseph Nasralla Abdelmasih spewing his vile hate-speech against all 1.6 Billion Muslims at The Pam Geller  anti-Mosque protest in New York 2010.
Other Professional Islamophobes involved included : Robert Spencer, John Bolton, David Horowitz, Daniel Pipes anti-Mosque protest in New York 2010.

And so it goes in the world of the Hate-spewing propagandizing fact-challenged bigoted Islamophobes .

But wait the hate continues this weekend at the Religious Rights annual Hate-fest---

Hey kids time for the annual Values Voters Summit Hatefest -this year starring role is VP wannabe "Legitimate rape" Paul Ryan standing in as Romney and GOP's surrogate along with the bigoted unfathomable "The Muslims are Coming " Michelle Bachmann and Eric Cantor, Rick Santorum ,Tony Perkins, "get ready for a stoning" Gary Bauer , Rand Paul, Laura Ingraham  and Christian Crusader "Kill all The Muslims" Gen William Boykin and Iran Contra scandal's own Lt. Col Oliver North  and more.

The reviews are in let the madness begin.

It’s said that “Birds of a feather flock together,” and from September 14 to 16 this will once again be the case. The upcoming Values Voter Summit, organized by the obsessively anti-gay, fundamentalist Christian extremist Family Research Council (FRC), bills itself as the “Premier Conservative Event of 2012” and is a crucial date in the electoral calendar. As such, the conference will entail a massive migration to Washington D.C. of religious fanatic “birds of prey” of all different types. Oh, the strange and sundry variety of intolerant Christian fundamentalist creatures that will migrate, blazing hatred in tow, to our nation’s capitol! Indeed, the Values Voter Summit is a sight to behold insofar as it offers a perverse glimpse into the freefalling degeneration of evangelical Christian fundamentalism in U.S. politics.

... the FRC is a virtual Cirque du Soleil of horrendous anti-gay, Islamophobic, fundamentalist Christian and unconstitutional lobbying. It’s not for nothing that the Southern Poverty Law Center has called the FRC a “hate group.” In addition to equating homosexuality with pedophilia, the FRC has defended world-class cretin Congressman Todd Akin’s stupefying misogyny exemplified by his notorious suggestion that so-called “legitimate rape” exists. More feared than respected among conservatives, the FRC has become a ghastly and grotesque edifice of Dominionism within American politics. In this crucial election year, the FRC conference is most assuredly something to watch, in the same manner as one would observe a train wreck in slow motion

The summit’s website depicts a radical evangelical festival resembling a sort of Christian Jihadi Convention. The summit will include a breakout session facilitated by the freshly appointed Executive Vice President of the FRC, retired Lieutenant General William Boykin, an infamous and utterly putrescent Islamophobe about whom I’ve written much . Among numerous other putrid statements, Boykin has scandalously suggested that Muslims’ civil rights “should not be protected under the First Amendment.” Now an “ordained minister,” this constitutional derelict fancies himself a sort of “Holy Warrior” in U.S. combat fatigues waging a perpetual battle against the forces of Satan – or, in his case, “demonic” Islamists spawned from Somali “principalities of darkness.” Boykin rounds out the Family Research Council’s relentless Islamophobic witch-hunt with his own John Rambo-esque war against domestic Muslims, whom he feels are intent to “destroy us as a Christian Army.” It’s no exaggeration to say that an evangelical fundamentalist Christian zeal that mirrors Al Qaeda’s Salafist-Jihadi fanaticism quite positively possesses Boykin.

Deaths of innocent Americans in Libya versus the deaths of innocent Muslims.

It is understandable that the senseless killing of an ambassador is bigger news than the senseless killing of an unknown, obscure Yemeni or Pakistani child. But it's anything but understandable to regard the former as more tragic than the latter. Yet there's no denying that the same people today most vocally condemning the Benghazi killings are quick and eager to find justification when the killing of innocents is done by their government, rather than aimed at it.

It's as though there are two types of crimes: killing, and then the killing of Americans. The way in which that latter phrase is so often invoked, with such intensity, emotion and scorn, reveals that it is viewed as the supreme crime: this is not just the tragic deaths of individuals, but a blow against the Empire; it therefore sparks particular offense. It is redolent of those in conquered lands being told they will be severely punished because they have raised their hand against a citizen of Rome.

Just compare the way in which the deaths of Americans on 9/11, even more than a decade later, are commemorated with borderline religious solemnity, as opposed to the deaths of the hundreds of thousands of foreign Muslims caused by the US, which are barely ever acknowledged. There is a clear hierarchy of human life being constantly reinforced by this mentality, and it is deeply consequential.
Quote by Glenn Greenwald The Tragic Consulate Killings in Libya and America's Hierarchy of Human Life : The murder of American staff over a hate film is an unmitigated wrong. But so are deaths caused by the US that go unremarked by Glenn Greenwald, Via Common Dreams.org Sept. 12, 2012

Ex CIA Ray McGovern raises more questions about the tragic events of 9/11 and the failure of the bush Administration to take the threats of Bin Laden and Al Qaeda seriously. Bush & Co. were too busy for instance trying to come up with a way to justify war on Iraq and Condi Rice was distracted by her push for a new and unnecessary Missile Defense program meanwhile the Neocons surrounding Bush were telling Bush et al not to listen to the CIA since they were not to be trusted to advance the Neocon agenda.

Consultant for Anti-Muslim Film Provided Combat Training for Hate Group Hatewatch at SPLC , Sept. 12, 2012

Steve Klein, who served as a consultant for the Islam-bashing film that sparked the deadly assault on a U.S. Consulate in Libya, is a longtime religious-right activist who has helped train paramilitary militias at a secretive church in California.

Four American citizens, including U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens, were killed by mobs enraged by the depiction of the prophet Muhammad in the film “Innocence of Muslims” produced by Sam Bacile, a California real estate developer.

Klein is a Marine veteran who served in the Vietnam War and is based in Hemet, Calif. He believes that his state is riddled with Muslim Brotherhood sleeper cells “who are awaiting the trigger date and will begin randomly killing as many of us as they can,” according to an article in the Spring 2012 issue of the SPLC Intelligence Report.

Over the years, Klein has worked with a variety of far-right groups, including the Church at Kaweah, which the SPLC lists as a hate group. The Church of Kaweah is a secretive cohort of militant Christian fundamentalists in California who are preparing for war and who believe that churches should avoid government regulation and answer only to God. Kaweah has its own militia, headed by David “Dutch” Johnson (aka Dutch Joens), a longtime antigovernment veteran of the militia movement. Johnson looks forward to the battle that will begin when “Dictator Obongo” institutes martial law. He has called Mexicans savages “who can’t run their own government” and recommended sending guns to drug cartels to “decrease the excess population in Mexico so they don’t come north.”

Klein also conducts drills with the Christian Guardians, a San Francisco-based group headed by Andrew Saqib James, an American-born Pakistani Christian who calls Islam “a giant crime syndicate” and hopes his group will become “the most feared militia in the world.” The Church of Kaweah’s website has advertised joint trainings with the Guardians, describing them as a “unique system of learning how to survive the Muslim Brotherhood as we teach the Christian Morality of Biblical Warfare.”

Klein told the UK’s Daily Mail that Bacile is a pseudonym and that he knows little about the filmmaker but that he is committed to the film, “like the rest of us.” Klein said that he did not feel guilty about Stevens’ death. “It’s not our fault, we told the truth,” he said.

Klein claimed that he and Bacile expected the movie would make Muslims mad, and he said that he also warned Bacile that he could be the “next Theo Van Gogh,” a reference to the Dutch filmmaker who was murdered in 2004 by a Muslim extremist angry about a film Van Gogh made that was perceived as insulting to Islam. Bacile’s film promotes the idea that the prophet Muhammad was a philanderer and a fraud who sanctioned rape and child abuse.

Meanwhile the Uberconservatives and Religious Right leaders will be attending the yearly Hatefest aka "Values Voters Summit" this weekend.

Romney and Paul Ryan campaign will set a new low by embracing and hoping for endorsements from the Uber Conservative and Religious Right leaders and their organizations and membership at "the Values Voters Summit" meeting this weekend.

And once again it is time for the annual conference of bigots and racists known as The Values Summit this year they are expecting VP wannabe Paul Ryan , House Majority leader Eric Cantor and Arizona governor "Show me your papers " Jan Brewer. With this stellar group of Republican notables the Republican Party will not be able or at least should not be given a free pass or allowed to distance themselves from the Values Summits agenda.
The question is will the mainstream Media focus on the extremism of the speakers at the Values Voters Summit or will they ignore it altogether or give it a bit of a white-wash.

Because this years summit being in an election year should get more coverage than usual by the Mainstream Media . This summit is in its own way has an agenda that's about as extreme as the KKK or other Domestic terrorist organizations .

What policies are agreed upon publicly at this year's Summit will be a slice of what to expect from a Romney/Ryan administration if they win in November.
So here's an article from Hatewatch at The Southern Poverty Law Center with some details on the leaders of these Religious Right and Uberconservative groups

Public Officials to Rub Shoulders with Anti-LGBT Extremists at ‘Values’ Summit by Evelyn Schlatter at Hatewatch, Sept. 12, 2012

This weekend, Tony Perkins and his gay-bashing Family Research Council (FRC) are hosting the annual Values Voter Summit, a Washington, D.C., gathering of right-wing religious activists that typically attracts a number of high-ranking, conservative public officials.

Among those scheduled to speak this year are House Majority Leader Eric Cantor, U.S. Rep. Paul Ryan and Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer.

They and other public officials will be rubbing shoulders with a host of virulently anti-LGBT activists. The SPLC and a coalition of human rights groups has urged these public officials not to speak at the summit because their appearance legitimizes the lies and demonizing propaganda spread by groups like the FRC and the American Family Association, a co-sponsor.

Here’s a quick rundown of the anti-LGBT activists scheduled to speak at the summit, which begins Friday.

Gary Bauer, former official in the Reagan administration and former president of the FRC, is currently president of American Values. Last May, he claimed that allowing men to marry other men would only exacerbate the problems faced by African-American families and would remove more men from black households. He has also claimed that same-sex marriage would lead to polygamy, that it’s a danger to religious freedom, and that it’s “an incredible risk to our country and faith.”

Michael Farris, founder of the ultra-conservative Home School Legal Defense Initiative and Patrick Henry College, is based in Loudoun County, Va. He claimed in 2011 that Democrats in his home county are trying to use hate crimes laws to “stifle religious freedom.” Elsewhere, he said that same-sex marriage “undermines the integrity of a nation” and is a behavior that God calls “an abomination.”

John Helmberger is CEO of the Minnesota Family Council. On the organization’s website is “8 Reasons for Opposing Domestic Partners Benefits,” which claims that “Homosexual unions include inherently unhealthy behaviors, e.g. oral and anal sex” and that “Homosexual unions can’t replicate the benefits provided to society” by heterosexual marriage.

Cathi Herrod, president of the Center for Arizona Policy, wrote a March 2012, blog post in which she worried that anti-bullying policies were just a way for groups like the Gay, Lesbian, and Straight Education Network to “gain access to our public schools” and that anti-bullying educational materials are “agenda-driven propaganda” designed to “redefine marriage and to force cultural acceptance and affirmation of homosexual lifestyles.” According to media reports, Herrod was instrumental in lobbying the Arizona legislature to kill an anti-bullying law that would have strengthened existing laws.

Bishop Harry Jackson, senior pastor of Hope Christian Church in Maryland, has a history of anti-gay statements and has been active most recently in his home state’s battle over marriage equality. Popular with groups like the FRC and the National Organization for Marriage, Jackson has claimed that LGBT people are trying to “recruit children” because they can’t reproduce and that “demonic forces” are behind the gay rights movement. In 2011, he said, “I’m African American, and I especially believe that what we’re dealing with [gay marriage] is a satanic plot to destroy our seed.”

Rick Scarborough is the founder of Vision America, an organization that seeks to inform and mobilize pastors to “restore Judeo-Christian values.” Scarborough has said that AIDS is God’s judgment for an immoral act and claimed that “Sexual anarchy led by Sodomites who will not stop demanding more until they have destroyed every semblance of public morality” is one of the evils the country faces. He has also demanded to know what LGBT people have to be proud of, since they’re “defined exclusively by their aberrant sexual behavior” and have more than a thousand sexual partners in their lifetimes.

Mathew Staver, president of the Liberty Counsel and dean of the Liberty University Law School, claimed at last year’s summit that the homosexual agenda undermines family and is a direct assault on religious freedom and freedom of speech. Earlier this year, Staver said that the goal of the Day of Silence (a day in which students don’t speak in an effort to call attention to anti-gay bullying) is “to disrupt the classroom learning environment in order to send a message in favor of the radical homosexual agenda” and that it’s part of “a concerted effort to force society to accept the practice of homosexuality and other deviant lifestyles.” Staver went on to warn that homosexual behavior raises “serious public health concerns.”

NOTES:

By the way I have watched the film on YouTube it is absolutely awful on so many levels . As a movie it looks cheap and amateurish and it is noticable that some of the lines the actors say are dubbed in -it look more like a not so successful SNL or Monty Python long bit. The attacking mobs of Muslims have a total numer of 4 or five and then the mob actors play the police , looters , friends and foes of Muhammad.

The film "The Innocence of Islam" is just a really badly made Islamophobic propaganda piece which could only appeal to those of a like mind and besides hating Islam have no regard for historical facts or regard for the notion of Christian Love and tolerance and have judged over a billion followers of Islam to be hypocrites and liars who are the minions of Satan. And as usual people filled with such prejudice and bigotry they take note of the mote in another's eyes and are unaware of the plank in their own eye.

It is filled with racist and bigoted stereotypes of the Prophet Muhammad and all Arabs and all Muslims. The Arabs in the film are of course sex obsessed , pediphiles , rapists who love to kill people using Islam as their excuse.

Most of these false claims about Muhammad and Islam could also be made about Christians if one were so inclined who's history is just as brutal and bloody as Islam if not more so. (or look at the atrocities being committed in Burma for example by Buddhists against Muslims or in India the Hindu citizens mass murdering their neighbors who are Indian Muslims . Religious Extremism and the use of violence have been aspect of almost all religions this I believe does not mean that all religions are evil but rather we humans are a flawed species which is prone to violence .

It was the Christians after all who decided to invade the Islamic nations in 1097 at a time when Muslim nations were no threat to the West or to Europe.

For more on history Christian bigotry and anti-semitism see the pages at the banner on this blog.

Not just individuals but the Catholic Church and later Protestant Churches promulgated Anti-semitism blaiming all Jews for the crucifction of Jesus -deicide and then added a whole host of conspiracy theories about the Jewish people which led to massacres, pogroms, and inevitably to the Shoah/Holocaust . Hitler was a product of his highly charged environment of Nativism and German superiority . These days it is the Americans who believe they are the chosen of God and are far superiour (in every way that matters) to the rest of humankind .

Christians for centuries besides killing Jews, Muslims, Roma(Gypsies) also had an obsession with turning on one another over petty almost indefinable religious differences killing millions over the centuries. In WWII people forget that Germany and America and Britain and Russia were all Christian Nations and yet still madness unsued. Hitler described himself as doing God's work especially by killing all the Jews whom he believed were minions of Satan and to satisfy his more rationalist type followers a lower form of humanity who were in the end unable to be truthful, hard working or to contribute anything of worth to human civiliation and culture.

Today the Islamophobes characterize all Muslims in almost identical terms calling them barbaric, uncivilized, ignorant, of low intelligence comparing Muslims to vermin who wish to kill most non-Muslims and to enslave the rest under a Global Caliphate . This thinking is the same as the anti-semites who erroneously believe or believed that the Jewish people were working in the shadows in a stealth like manner or as a fifth column to underimine Christian Western Civilization .
