"We Came Unarmed This Time " 9/12 March On Washington Banner

Phony Tea Party photo of 9/12 march shows a larger crowd then there were but this photo is being shared on the internet convincing people there were not just 75 thousand but rather 1 to 2 million. Photo is actually from a march a few years ago.

"It is we who are guilty for refusing to mass on Washington and demand single-payer, not-for-profit health care for all Americans."
Chris Hedges message to Obama Supporters & Progressives

First some more highlights from Glenn Beck/Dick Armey 9/12 March on Washington

Max Blumenthal covers the 9.12 anti-Obama rally on the National Mall, where tens of thousands of teabaggers demonstrated their opposition to healthcare reform by calling Obama the biggest Nazi in the world, claiming he wants to put "real" Americans in concentration camps, and was born in Kenya. But how many of them have health insurance, and do they know they're pawns in the game of healthcare industry front man Dick Armey? Of course not.

And another juicy bit on the 9/12 organizers.

FreedomWorks Lies, Inflates D.C. Rally Attendance By Over 2,000 Percent by Lee Fang, Think Progress September 14, 2009 via AlterNet.org.

Standing proudly on stage during the rally in D.C. FreedomWorks leader Matt Kibbe proclaimed ABC News was reporting that 1 million to 1.5 million people were in attendance.

Last Saturday, FreedomWorks, a corporate-funded right-wing advocacy group headed by former Republican Majority Leader Dick Armey (R-TX), hosted an anti-Obama rally in Washington DC. The event was attended and paid for by various conservative organizations, from Parental Rights associations, to "birthers," to the Rural Landowners, a militant faction that has referenced Waco and Ruby Ridge to call for violence against the government.

Standing proudly on-stage during the rally, FreedomWorks leader Matt Kibbe proclaimed that ABC News was reporting that 1 million to 1.5 million people were in attendance. However, ABC News quickly called Kibbe out for his lies:

At no time did ABC News, or its affiliates, report a number anywhere near as large. ABCNews.com reported an approximate figure of 60,000 to 70,000 protesters, attributed to the Washington, D.C., fire department. In its reports, ABC News Radio described the crowd as "tens of thousands."

Kibbe also lied and said that the crowd stretched back to the Lincoln Memorial, even though the crowd barely got past 3rd Street (the Lincoln Memorial is at 23 Street). Kibbe's lies were echoed by much of the right-wing community. Michelle Malkin dutifully enlarged the number of attendees even more, claiming 2,000,000 people were there. As Nate Silver has noted, “That’s not a twofold or threefold exaggeration -- it's roughly a thirtyfold exaggeration." Conservatives on Twitter distributed a fake picture of the rally showing the entire mall filled with people:

American right-wing extremists are just part of American history so we should not be so surprised when in these difficult and uncertain times in America that they are on the rise once again.

So America has had more than its share of Radical Right fringe groups and individuals who never seem to really go away.

These radicals and extremists are always there whether in the forefront or in the shadows lurking but what's troubling is the influence over the decades and even today they have had on public policy decisions of the US government and on state legislators . Even Obama after all attended the annual Prayer Breakfast hosted by the fanatical bizarre "The Family" or "Fellowship" which uses Hitler and Mao as the ideal of leadership.

Why should Obama care if he upsets a bunch of Nativists or America Firsters or the Neoconservatives and their just as craven cousins the Neo-liberals. Instead he seems to cower as soon as they raise their voices (Joe Wilson etc.) he is like an abused child who cringes when their parents raise their voices.

And so now these right-wing radicals threaten armed insurrection or a coup d'etat. It is hopefully just an empty threat

And the more Obama tries to be conciliatory to the Right they see him not as "reasonable" but rather as "weak" and "ineffective" with no hard and fast policies to get America through the present crisis and therefore in their view an ongoing threat to the nation.

as the 9/12 marchers on Saturday proclaimed "We Came Unarmed This Time". And they compared the situation in the US to that of Honduras in which a perceived radical and "nice guy " Zelaya was removed from office by a coup d'etat.

Warning of an Insurrection or a Coup d'etat
if even a few people act on Beck's propaganda and hatred it could lead to a great tragedy.

Demint "More Comfortable" At Tea Party Than Congress
Sen. Jim DeMint does an interview with Fox News live from the 9/12 Taxpayer March in Washington, where he immediately corects Brian Wilson and says there are "not tens of thousands" of people there, but "hundreds of thousands."

DeMint said he was "proud" to be part of those protesting against a government takeover. "I'm more comfortable with these people than I am (with) the ones in front of me in Congress," he said.

and so it goes,
