Glenn Beck's own dystopian novel The Overton Window which is about a future civil war in America brought on by the policies of liberals and progressives such as President Obama whom he calls a Marxist, a socialist and a radical communist. Beck's language is dangerous in the sense that many of his audience who watch him on TV, listen to his radio program and read his books take him quite seriously and may eventually act .
Glenn Beck does make it sound as if it were the duty of "Real Americans" to rise up against the current illegitimate government which he says is destroying America.
First as he has done they do so peacefully through his organizations 9/12 or through The Tea Party Movement etc. But he then cries actual tears because these various projects and movements haven't had much of an impact as yet. As others have pointed out what will these fired up, angry, suspicious, distrusting , fearful, paranoid followers of Beck do if not much changes after the mid-term elections. We can only hope that none of these people are as crazy in their actions as they sound in their angry rants .
Beck compares Obama to Hitler, the NAZIs, Lenin, Stalin, Mao,the Khmer Rouge et al and so depicts Obama as potential of being a cold blooded mass murderer creating his own "Killing Fields", Gulags, Concentration Camps ala "Fema Camps" his own "death squads" in America and creating a Totalitarian Regime. Beck says this is not mere "Conspiracy Theory" since one need just listen carefully to Obama and his inner circle and their uses of terms such as "Social Justice" ," Equal Opportunity " "Redistribution of Wealth" by way of taxes etc.

The storyline of the novel has prompted some in the blogosphere to worry that Beck is inciting civil insurrection. As he told the crowd in Orlando, "If we don't face the truth right now, we'll be dead in five years -- this country can't survive." He also advised his listeners to stockpile food, saying: "I am incredibly prepared."
Fox News commentator Glenn Beck has indicated that his novel, due out in June, will portray America in the throes of civil war. In a recent appearance before about 8,000 supporters in Orlando, Fla., Beck described the book as "a story of America at a time much like today where the people are confused and they're being lied to," according to Will Bunch of the Philadelphia Daily News, who attended Beck’s American Revival event.
Bunch reported that Beck told the gathering the story depicts the rise of a citizen’s organization called the Founders Keepers, “a group of people that just won’t give up.” What follows, Beck said, is “a battle and a civil war, and life is upside-down planetwide."
On its Amazon page, the book is titled “The Overton Window.” Beck offered insight into his inspiration for the title on a Fox appearance during which he mentioned the book by a slightly different name: “We Are Americans: The Overton Window.” The term Overton Window refers to a theory developed by Joe Overton, a former vice president of the Mackinac Center for Public Policy, in which political ideas move in and out of a window of public acceptability.
Of course Glenn Beck in his book unlike neo-Nazi White Supremacist William Pierce is not going to use vile and vicious language or use the "N" word etc. and would of course insist the need for insurrection isn't a matter of racist philosophy even though he has called Obama a racist against white people.
At times Glenn Beck has suggested that America is not supposed to be a true democracy but rather a republic . He has said that many of the laws made in the last 70 or a hundred years should be overturned . He also believes America must once again become a true Christian nation run primarily by Christians not atheists or "Social Justice" liberal Christians or any other type of liberal or progressive.
It is no surprising that Pam Geller would promote a rather nasty recent anti-Immigrant anti-Muslim racist Russian novel The Mosque of Notre Dame De Paris which deals with how the West lost once it had capitulated to the Muslims and other non-Serbs in Bosnia and did not back and defend the Serbians who are depicted by the author as Christian warriors/crusaders/Martyrs that is the Serbians.
The the author argues that the Serbs were the victims in Bosnia not just in the 1990s but going back some 500 years as if those born today inherit the guilt or the shame. Serbians in the authors view are superior to all Muslims . She depicts Muslims and others who are the enemies of the Serbs as being the enemies of Civilization and of Christianity and Christ.
This all makes sense once we come to terms with the Overarching Serbian mythology and ideology which is racial and ethnic claiming that a Serb is not just born a Serb but by their very nature according to their race and ethnicity they are born Christian well actually Serbian Orthodox Christian. So that a real Serb is a Christian. If a Serb converts to another religion ie Islam, Judaism, Catholic then they are no longer a Serb and they never were because their religion race and ethnicity are one. Sounds a lot like Hitler's master Race of True or Real Germans who's history and who's destiny is part of their birthright and in today's jargon part of their Genetic makeup in their case as Aryans.
Pam Geller at Atlas Shrugs quotes at length a review of the novel The Mosque Of Notre Dame by Russian writer and Elena Chudinova whom we can easily see is an extremists who hates Muslims and immigrants but has a soft-spot for Serbs even when they take part in the ethnic cleansing of Bosnia of all Muslims and other non-Serbs. Like Pam Geller she believes that the Muslims in Bosnia were planning to wipe out the Serbs but the Serbs fought back and that there was no ethnic cleansing on the part of the Serbs that these were lies told about the Serbs by all those conspiring against them.
This novel being promoted by Pam Geller is just another version of the paranoid Islamophobic anti-Immigrant fevered over-taxed mind at work. The author for instance reverses the roles of the Serbs with the real victims were Non-serbs Muslims Albanians,The Serb belief is that religion, race ethnicity are related . A Serb is born a Serb and a Christian the two are inseparable and that they are superior race to the Albanians, the Croats, the Muslims- to the Serbs the Muslims arrived over 500 years ago and yet to the Serbs as the Serbs are born as Serbs the Muslims today are the same as their ancestors so as Jews are seen as the same throughout history as the unchanging Christ killers so the Serbs see the Muslims as the murder of their Christ king such and such it 's like how Hitler took Wagners operas as the true reality that a great Götterdammerung was the only solution to cleanse the earth.

Their art, architecture, poetry, philosophy , their technology is all a myth a lie which the crafty, cunning Muslims created and promulgated.
Odd that Geller doesn't notice that much of this sounds like the same old vile accusations made by anti-Semites about the Jewish people that they never created anything of worth and they live like parasites on the civilizations of others .This is also said about other groups who are hated who become "The Other" as with the Roma who have been persecuted like the Jews for centuries. And now the Europeans are trying to oust all the Roma from Europe once more as Hitler did in his time.
Note how Elena Chudinova stretches the mythology of the Serbs that it is they who have been protecting Europe and Christendom over the centuries and the implication that once the Serbians are defeated then the sub-human Albanians will run amok. So the Islamification of Europe making it into Eurabia as Bat Ye'or puts it can not be stopped if the Serbs are not defended and the Sub-human Albanians and Muslims etc. are all wiped out in large part because they are a scourge as through intimate relations with Serbs and others they poison , pollute the pure Genetic pool of Serbians and the "Real Europeans AND Real Russians.

Back in 2005, I blogged on the Russian runaway best seller, The Mosque of Notre Dame De Paris, thanks to Jack Wheeler. Elena Chudinova, one of Russia’s most popular writers, has finally had one chapter of the book translated into English. And as Julia Gorin points out (further down, scroll)....... Europe was lost at Kosovo.and here's a quote from the novel:

And so peace came at last to the hub of European drug trafficking - Kosovo - when the last Serb was expelled or slaughtered, when the last Orthodox church was destroyed or desecrated. And then the peacekeepers left the region because they were no longer needed there.

If France faces an Islamic future, a Russian author has already written about it. The novel is called “The Mosque of Notre Dame, 2048,” a bestseller in Russia, not in France.
French publisher Jean Robin said the French media ignored the book because it was politically incorrect.

ah yes the book was politically incorrect or maybe it was seen as a vile attack on all Muslims and possibly crossing the line into Hate Speech. Geller may not believe that hate Speech is a Hate Crime but many countries have such laws and the reason they do was one of the reactions to the Shoah that it was from speech that the hate begins. And it is difficult to reason with the unreasonable who are in the throws of some deeply held prejudices against a group of people whom they see as Subhuman, as evil as demonic, as a plague, a pestilence a disease that must be removed ie a cancer or as vermin and parasites as being lazy yet cunning who will wiggle their way into the body politic to destroy it from within .
There are some basic similarities between Glenn Beck's novel and the novel The Mosque Of Notre Dame De Paris and some similarities with William Pierce's Racist manifesto The Turner Diaries.

More than three years before the Oklahoma City bombing, an FBI agent investigating a group of Texas extremists warned that "The Turner Diaries" could inspire a truck bomb attack against the U.S. government.

At least one member of the Texas group was subsequently linked to the Oklahoma City bombing -- Andreas Strassmeier, a German national whose role in the conspiracy will be the subject of Congressional hearings this fall.
The revelations are contained in approximately 500 pages of FBI documents obtained by INTELWIRE under the Freedom of Information Act.
Based in the Austin area, the Texas Reserve Militia claimed at least one expert bombmaker among its ranks. The group stockpiled explosives and held monthly paramilitary training sessions, the documents revealed.
The documents also disclose that the TRM purchased shipments of weapons from El Salvador and worked with a right-wing group connected to the Iran-Contra Affair.
The FBI's field office in San Antonio, Texas, investigated the TRM from no later than 1990 to at least 1992. The Bureau deployed at least four confidential informants and at least three undercover agents to penetrate an organization with fewer than 50 members.
INTELWIRE obtained files related to the TRM -- also known as the First Texas Light Infantry -- from the FBI through the Freedom of Information Act. The FBI refused to release about 60 additional pages.
The story below outlines some of the most significant data points found in the new documents, many of which are suggestive of a broader domestic conspiracy in the Oklahoma City bombing. The source documents for each item are included as links in the story.
Most of the documents originate from the San Antonio field office, led by Special Agent In Charge Jeffrey Jamar, who would later take on a leading role in the 1993 Waco siege.
Waco became a Cause Célèbre among right-wing extremist groups; the Oklahoma bombing took place on the anniversary of the end of that siege -- a disastrous fire that killed 76 people, including children. Close links between the TRM and the Oklahoma City bombing conspiracy suggest the terrorist attack's connection to Waco may be much more personal and direct than previously thought.

The Turner Diaries is a novel written in 1978 by William Luther Pierce (former leader of the white nationalist organization National Alliance) under the pseudonym "Andrew Macdonald". The Turner Diaries depicts a violent revolution in the United States which leads to the overthrow of the United States federal government, nuclear war, and, ultimately, to a race war leading to the extermination of all Jews and non-whites. The book was called "explicitly racist and anti-Semitic" by The New York Times and has been labeled the "bible of the racist right" by the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
The novel has been associated with a number of real-life violent crimes. Most notably, some have suggested that a scene depicting preparation for the bombing of the J. Edgar Hoover Building, the FBI national headquarters, served as the inspiration for the Oklahoma City bombing in 1995 by Timothy McVeigh, who had promoted the book.

...Many people may believe that a book like this one shouldn't be reviewed or discussed in polite company and maybe twenty years ago, they may have been right. However, in the internet era, everything gets discussed on the net and if mainstream authors won't touch a topic, the cranks and the conspiracy theorists dominate the conversation. In the case of The Turner Diaries, we're talking about a book that has reportedly sold over half a million copies and has inspired people to kill. That, along with the window it presents into the mentality of the white power nutjobs, makes the book worth discussing.
Furthermore, the very fact that the book is supposed to be too dangerous to be read is part of its appeal. The very cover of the book I acquired plays on this impulse with the words,
"This book contains racist propaganda.
The FBI said it was the blueprint for the Oklahoma City Bombing.
Many would like it banned. It is being published to alert and warn America."
Translation: Oooh, this is scary and forbidden. Buy it! Writing about the book demystifies it and takes away much of its appeal.
Getting into the book itself, it's not a particularly good read. Pierce's writing style is a bit like Ayn Rand's, except he's much more of a hack about it. In other words, Pierce is trying to get across his world view via a fictional story and he's very ham-fisted and artless about the process. All the characters in his book are two-dimensional cardboard props and worse yet, there are no sympathetic characters in the book. It's like one of those ugly little South American or African revolutions, where both sides are made up of irredeemable monsters and you're left to pick between devils.
Nevertheless, let's move on to the plot. The book begins in 1991 with America declining into a banana republic with a tyrannical government. That undoubtedly seemed like a very genuine possibility in the dog days of the Carter years, which was when the book was written. In the book, the government made the terrible mistake of outlawing guns -- which, as it would in real life, set off organized resistance against the government.
Note the reviewer's aside that of course if the government came for the citizens guns they would have the right to raise an armed insurrection and would suicide-bombers be ok and dropping nukes to wipe out cities???
and the organization eventually wins after using nuclear weapons and then the slaughter begins:
...the mass murder on a scale reminiscent of the Nazis starts in the book. The Jews, everyone of mixed race, whites who lived with or dated non-whites in California, and politicians, preachers, TV personalities, and government officials who couldn't be controlled? They're liquidated, shot, and hung from lamp posts as all of California falls under martial law.
If this sounds like some sort of "Hitler comes to America" version of history, it is. It's pure evil and The Organization has no interest whatsoever in any sort of freedom, democracy, or the Constitution,
"Didn't the old fool understand that the American people voted themselves into the mess they're in now? Doesn't he understand that the Jews have taken over the country fair and square, according to the Constitution? Doesn't he understand that the common people have already had their fling at self-government, and they blew it?
Where does he think new elections can possibly lead now, with this generation of TV-conditioned voters, except right back into the same Jewish pigsty? And how does he think we could have solved our problems down here, except by the radical measures we used?" --P.173
and he concludes his review with: the book goes on to describe the wonderful dream that society becomes after The Organization takes over the country and starts eliminating everyone who isn't white across the planet.

From their perspective, then they could begin their dream society, which apparently consisted of an all white race, living in an impoverished and war-torn world, ruled by iron-fisted despots. In other words, a boot stamping down on a white human face, forever. The fact that this is a Neo-Nazi vision of an ideal world, one that they believe is vastly preferable to the world we live in today, tells you more than you've ever wanted to know about how they think and how little they have in common with any mainstream political ideology in the United States.
