Listening to the likes of Rick santorum or Rick Perry , Michele Bachmann, Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh and FOX News one gets the impression that these Protestant Evangelical Christians and their Catholic counterparts long for a time when only their brand of Christianty held sway in the USA.

They overtly complain about the evils of Secular Humanism and liberalism whom the Conservative Movement in America believe are really all Socialists and Commies out to destroy America and to undermine its Judeo-Christian Puritanical values .

These Radical Christian Conservatives are not merely conservative but in fact are Fascist Reactionaries who wish to return America to the so called good old days.

The Good Old Days were the days before Roe V Wade and the Civil Rights acts and the ending of The Jim Crow laws in the mid sixties and the desegration rulings of the Supreme Court of the United States ie Brown v Board of Education 1954 .

In the good old days up til 2005 the US Senate had since 1900 stopped the passage of any anti-Lynching laws. In 2005 the US Senate disingenuously finally apologized for being pro-lynching and for hating Black Americans . This is when bigots use the language of the "politically correct" and "Know Nothing Liberalism " to gain some brownie points. A load of Horse shit as it were.

The US government still includes a large proportion of racist and other bigots who continually make excuses for America's unenlightened judiciary system and its historical crimes against its own peoples . Supposedly African-Americans are supposed to bow and scrape and humbly accept these phony apologies by the elite who continue rounding up African and Hispanic Americans to fill the now privatized prisons run for a profit. So the more people incarcerated the more profit-simple supply and demand as some judges even get kick backs for each person they have incarcerated.

So Lynchings were considered by millions of Americans as an acceptable form of American Rough Justice. Now the Lynchings as it were are done under the guise of American Justice such as the police shooting or carrying out executions of non-whites in the streets of America while stopping and searchin non-whites without legal grounds or reasonable cause.
The police across America say that just the fact that a person is non-white is reasonable cause to stop and search them and most White Americqans and even many successful Black or Hispanic Americans either defend police action or just don't want to hear about.

But then again most Americans in general don't want to even contemplate on going systemic racism in America and judge those who speak out on such issues as just being UnAmerican and ungreatful for the freedoms Americans in general supposedly have.

Even president Obama has blamed Blacks and Hispanics and the poor for their situation. Obama has even stepped up the bogus "War on Drugs" which is really a War on Black and Hispanic and poor Americans.
Obama has also stepped up the war on Mexican and other latino undocumented immigrants .

But what else can we expect from a president of the USA no matter what the color of his skin since most have been wealthy and part of the Ruling Elite of the 1%.
As I noted in yesterday's post President Obama has himself breached more than once The Separation of Church and State by attending the National prayer Breakfast in Washington when he should have not attended these Prayer meetings set up by the Fascistic elitist Christian extremists known as "The Family".
So the difference between Obama and the GOP candidates decreases every day as he sells out to Wall Street, the Banksters, the rich and powerful , the Pentagon and the Military Industrial Complex and ordering the deaths of thousaands of innocent people in Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Yemen, Egypt, Saudi Arabia ,Bahrain, Libya and is backing brutal rebel extremists in various countries while propping up brutal anti-democratic regimes .

So I would like to know why Liberals and progressives in America should support Obama come November when he promises more war possibly even dropping a nuke or two on Iran while continuing the programs of targeted assassinations, renditions, torture and massacres meanwhile undermining the rights and freedoms of average Americans and imprisoning rather than rewarding whistleblowers or suggesting that the USA would be within its right to assassinated or kidnap Julian Assange of Wikileaks.
So tell me did Obama signal the end of Capital Punishment or pardoning those on death row or investigating the rising brutality of prisoners by the prison guards ; or has Obama signalled that released felons be given back theur full rights after paying for their crimes or has he investigated why the USA is the leader in the world for the numbers of citizens now locked up like animals beaten, tortured and treated without any regard for their rights or any regard for common decency.

In the Good Old Days these intolerant, bigoted uberconservatives argue all non-whites in America knew their place and knew if they dared to act as if they were equal to White Americans they knew the consequences were severe from beatings to being lynched or disappeared.
According for instance to Newt Gingrich workers also knew their place and didn't dare to join a union or demand or even ask for better wages, shorter hours and improved humane working conditions. In those days Bosses treater their workers as they saw fit and government and lilly livered liberals and governments were told where to go.
In the good old days 7 and 9 year olds worked alongside the adults in the fields , in lumber yards, in coal mines and were beaten or fired if they complained.In the good old days only the rich and the upper classes had their rights respected while the rest had no say no voice and no rights.

But first he reminded everyone that Rick Santorum is not just your average, everyday working class guy he's been trying to portray himself as. He ran the K Street Project for the Senate. Here's more from Salon Cenk quoted on that -- Santorum’s well-compensated love of fracking:

As the Center for Responsive Politics reports, Santorum is one of the top U.S. Senate recipients of campaign contributions from the oil and gas industry — and what makes those numbers so stunningly outsized is the fact that he remains one of the top Senate recipients even though the last time he ran for Senate was in 2006. Put another way, this is not a run-of-the-mill legislator who happened to get a few afterthought contributions from the industry; this is a guy who was such a sycophantic apostle of the industry that he received enough oil and gas money to keep him on the top-recipient list a full six years after he was voted out of office — that is, a full six years after he raised a single dollar for a Senate campaign. In baseball terms, it’s the equivalent of Hank Aaron racking up so many home runs that he was able to hold the record well after he retired — only with Santorum, it’s not home runs, it’s oil and gas cash.
