Anyway so much for Senator John McCain’s visit to peaceful Baghdad Market to prove the new & improved Surge Strategy of The Bush/Cheney/Rove Regime is working as we see in an article from WONKETTE & a follow up at MOTHER JONES:

McCain's Baghdad Market Photo-Op Kills 21 People
Safe as Disneyland ... - Wonkette Nice going, Walnuts:
The latest massacre of Iraqi children came as 21 Shia market workers were ambushed, bound and shot dead north of the capital. The victims came from the Baghdad market visited the previous day by John McCain, the US presidential candidate, who said that an American security plan in the capital was starting to show signs of progress.
And from MOTHER JONES:
McCain's Bazaar Photo Op Saga Ends in Bloodshed
God, this is so sad.
21 Shia market workers were ambushed, bound and shot dead north of the capital. The victims came from the Baghdad market visited the previous day by John McCain, the US presidential candidate, who said that an American security plan in the capital was starting to show signs of progress...
Mr. McCain said that the situation was showing signs of improvement and blamed waning support in the United States for the war on the media, which were portraying an overly negative image of the crisis.
I suppose if 21 people weren't killed coming out of the market, 21 different people would have been killed somewhere else, just because violence is that bad in Baghdad these days. But seriously, Jesus Christ.
What a horrible price to pay so an American politician could make a fake point to undergird his fake credibility.
Anyway , it appears TONY BLAIR IS STILL PIMPING FOR BUSH WAR ON IRAN. Since it seems perverse but this is not the outcome that the Bush Regime & Neocons wanted since they needed an international incident to convince the world that Iran is evil & dangerous & should be destroyed as Iraq & Lebanaon have been .Yes Diplomacy sometimes works but when your motivation is war then its just a nuisance .
Now they will have to create or manufacture a new crisis with Iran so they can start dropping the bombs & use those aircraft carriers & planes & ships & missiles now pointed at Iran. Because what's the good of all that military might & fancy technology & mini-nukes if you can't use them. Besides it would create a big diversion away from all the scandals facing the Bush Regime.
As the articles below point out:
Freed Sailors Return to Britain
Blair Expresses Concern Over Iranian Regime
By John Ward Anderson and Howard Schneider
Washington Post Foreign Service
Thursday, April 5, 2007
LONDON, April 5 -- British marines and sailors held captive for nearly two weeks in Iran landed back home in London Thursday morning, touching down at Heathrow airport on a commercial flight before being whisked by military helicopters to a debriefing on their time in custody..."
(And what does Tony Blair say:)
"British Prime Minister Tony Blair used the moment to welcome the 15 home -- but also to emphasize that Britain, the United States and other allies should remain concerned about Iran, its pursuit of nuclear technology and its support for Iraqi Shiite Muslim militias and other militant groups.
Even as the 15 sailors and marines were released, an explosive device near the southern Iraqi town of Basra killed four British soldiers. The British government has said elements of the Iranian regime are behind continued violence in southern Iraq. Although Blair did not make any allegations about Thursday's attack, he said the government in Tehran remains a concern.

DANGER ROOM

http://blog.wired.com/
Wednesday, April 04, 2007SO the madness of King George of AmeriKa continues & where it will end nobody knows as even now only a few voices have been raised in defiance to the New World Order as envisioned by American, Canadian & British Neocons or is there a possibility of a real rift between the various countries. And in the end when Bush leaves office will he be replaced by another phoney Compassionate Conservative or silver -tongued "quasi-half-baked Liberal" who is only interested in sounding " politically correct " & who is just as beholden to the Rich & Powerful & the Status Quo of ruthless Big Business interests & further military adventurism to prove America's might.
Brit Sailors Freed; Lessons for Nuke Clash?
Great news. The 15 British sailors and marines, held by Iran for two weeks, have been let go. Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad called the release a "pardon" and a "gift" for "Easter and Passover."
Sailors_freed_2 Of course, the Iranian government was sounding a whole lot more belligerent, just days ago. Why the change? Unclear. Maybe it was Tony Blair's newly gentle tone. Maybe it was the release of an Iranian diplomat being held in Iraq, or the access to five more captives -- "mere coincidence," according to U.S. and U.K. officials.
Maybe this hostage-taking wasn't an operation ordered from the top, in the first place. As the Times notes, "throughout the dispute [Iran's] statements veered between conciliatory and angry, and it was hard to get a clear sense of what the government was thinking — or indeed whether the government was speaking with one voice."
(AND: )
Since the sailors were seized, Iran-hawks have been ready to put the smackdown on Tehran. "An act of war which hands the Coalition the legal right to respond accordingly," the National Review's new military blog thundered. "When will the United Nations act to bring President Ahmadinejad of Iran to trial?" All in all, the event served, in the saber-rattlers minds', as "a salutary reminder about their trustworthiness to keep any 'grand bargain' "
But now that the affair has been resolved, peacefully, doesn't it show the exact opposite: that tough, hard-headed negotiations with Iran can work? It seems to me that there's a lesson in today's news, as we start to tackle the really big issue -- Tehran's nuclear program. Maybe bombing first and asking questions later isn't the way to go.
Or will a sincere person arise who has real integrity & is interested in pursuing world peace & international co-operation rather than American supremacy & who will take up the causes of the disenfranchised ,minorities, the poor, immigrants & refugees & the working poor, the elderly, the physically & mentally ill, the homeless, & all those who the Neocons see as disposable & worthless etc. etc. etc...
Love you too,
GORD.
