NRA only interested in helping fire arms industry to sell more weapons. Not interested in any real substantive compromise with the Obama administration on any sort of gun control on automatic and semi-automatic weapons or on high capacity magazines or clips . No matter how many American citizens are killed needlessly due to the lack of any real gun control in America as compared to other nations does not resonate or register with these ideological 2nd Amendments rights extremists.

NRA president calls on gun makers to give him more money by David Edwards via Raw Story.com, Jan, 2013

National Rifle Association (NRA) President David Keene admits that that the gun industry funds his organization with generous donations but would like to see even more cash pumped into pro-gun lobbying as opponents try to move forward with efforts to stop mass shootings.

...A 2011 report from the Violence Policy Center determined that 74 percent — or as much as $38.9 million — of the up to $52 million corporations had contributed to the NRA over six years had come from the firearms industry. During the 2012 election cycle alone, the NRA spent more that $17 million on presidential and congressional races.

And Keene suggested that all that money translated into the ability to block any efforts to ban assault weapons or high-capacity magazines.

“I think right now we do [have the votes in Congress],” the NRA president said. “I would say that the likelihood is that they are not going to be able to get an assault weapons ban through this Congress.”

CNN The pro-gun anti-gun control Meme Hammers and Hatchets Meme being used without as much push back as there should be. The pro-gun groups and individuals don't give a shit about other citizens including little kids being murdered as long as they can have all the weapons they want to protect themselves from who the rest of their fellow citizens.

NRA and arms industry in USA unwilling to even consider any stricter gun control laws other than back ground checks. If this is so then Obama and Biden should ignore the NRA and the arms industry and do what is best for all of America's citizens rather than just the pro-gun groups and lobbyists. Obama and Biden will probably make far too many concessions to the pro-gun lobby as if the pro-gun lobby represented most Americans when in fact they represent a small fraction of the citizenry.

NRA President David Keene Rejects Outline Of White House Gun Control Recommendations (VIDEO) by Sabrina Siddiqui via Huffington Post Jan. 13, 2013

WASHINGTON -- Just two days before Vice President Joe Biden delivers a comprehensive set of recommendations on gun policy, National Rifle Association President David Keene rejected the reported outline of suggestions Sunday and dismissed any ban on assault weapons or high-capacity magazines as a non-starter.

"We don't think any of those things work," he said in appearance on CNN's "State of the Union." "You should absolutely be able to compromise on things that accomplish the purpose. Our objection to those things is that they interfere with people's rights without doing anything to solve the problem."

Biden on Tuesday is expected to issue a series of proposals to address gun violence, in response to last month's shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn. Based on initial reports, the White House will make more comprehensive background checks a priority and continue to push for the reinstatement of an assault weapons ban.

But despite having an NRA representative present for a meeting with the vice president last week, Keene doesn't foresee his organization and the White House reaching an agreement on how to proceed.

Here's a video for those who find shrieking Banshee hate-filled Ann Coulter entertaining and for those who are willing to admit that Coulter is the smartest person in the room when she's all alone.

Ann Coulter in the end is an opportunist who makes her living as a propagandists or sock puppet for the extreme right .

Ann Coulter Like other members of the extreme right believe the right to own guns trumps those who want to protect the innocent from being killed accidentally by a gun or as collateral damage or as the target of mass murderers .

Ann Coulter in a pro-gun anti-gun control rant makes false and bizarre equivalences comparing publishing names of legal gun owners to publishing names of women who have had an abortion and publicly naming the rich who have their own body guards and people in New York who have rent controlled apartments. There seems to be no connection between gun control and the owning of rent control apartments in NYC.

Her solution appears to be not more gun control regulations but rather having more Americans armed and rounding up and incarcerating anyone with a mental illness. Other than that as usual her means of winning an argument is to shout down and belittle anyone who disagrees with her.

Ann Coulter Loses It On Guns; Wants List Of Women Who Had Abortions So Mothers Know Who Would 'Murder A Child' (VIDEO) by Rebecca Shapiro via Huffington Post & Salon.com, Jan. 04,2013

Well, this Ann Coulter rant went many places. She covered gun rights, criminal records, abortion, tax subsidies, single mothers, New York real estate, bodyguards, mental illness, the ACLU, New York City subway deaths, and the New York Times—in a matter of minutes.

The conservative pundit appeared on Sean Hannity's Fox News show Thursday night incensed by a local New York newspaper's decision to publish the names and addresses of local gun permit holders.

The controversial decision received a ton of backlash from many critics. One blogger responded by publishing the name and addresses of Journal News staffers. The paper hired armed security guards after receiving threatening messages.

Coulter piled on the criticism, but took her argument in a few different directions. First she argued that public records of gun permit holders should not be available because "people with gun permits by definition do not have criminal records." Then she started demanding various lists of things including "recently-paroled criminals," rent-controlled apartments, and women who have had abortions.

and so it goes,
GORD.
