So imposing stricter gun controls outlawing certain types of guns and rifles such as assault weapons including automatic-and semi-automatic weapons and high capacity magazines/clips and possibly following this up with confiscating those weapons to help decrease the numbers of murders and mass murders in the USA we can add that another reason is that there are some American citizens who are armed and ready to fight . The issue becomes that such individuals and groups may take up arms only because they have become convinced and take seriously the over the top rhetoric and wild conspiracy theories promulgated by Hate Talk radio and Fox News ala Glenn Beck, Michael Savage ,Rush Limbaugh , Ann Coulter , Sean Hannity, Michelle Malkin, Laura Ingraham and the whole gamut of right wing political and religious extremists and fanatics.
Andrew Breitbart in fact says in public what we suspect or is sometimes reported that the ultraconservatives and the Tea Party Movement have said or suggested in private that they are willing to take up arms if need be to fight liberals .
Breitbart boldly threatens liberals by saying he and his conservative comrades have the guns while the liberals do not and if push comes to shove the conservatives are not going to hesitate to use their fire-arms to fight Big Government and the Liberal rulers.

Brietbart had made ominous threats that he had undisclosed film footage which would reveal Obama's hidden agenda to transform America into a collectivist and /or socialist state and combined with his suggestion of conservative and real patriotic American citizens taking up arms against the government may have been seen as crossing the line and therefore he had to be silenced.

“The tea party is the rudiment of the new nationalist party,” Savage explained. “Somebody has to bring them all together, unite them like King David did the ancient tribes of Israel. And there is no King David out there. Who’s the King David? Tell me who is going to do it?
...Savage also pointed out the term “nationalism” needs to be redefined, as it’s too often associated with Hitler and the National Socialist Party, the Nazis, of 1930s Germany.

Well, as "The Slog" notes in a neat little piece of debunking, that's because our friendly right-wing conspiracy lover is talking about rifles, and only rifles. Not handguns, shotguns or other kinds of weapons. According to the FBI annual crime statistics, the number of murders committed annually with hammers and clubs far outnumbers the number of murders committed with a rifle. This is an interesting fact, particularly amid the Democrats' feverish push to ban many different rifles, ostensibly to keep us safe of course. However, it appears the zeal of Sens. like Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) and Joe Manchin (D-WV) is misdirected. Extremist Tony Perkins who is head of the Family Research Council sees the introduction of YOGA as just another form of liberal indoctrination to undermine traditional Christian values and to somehow weaken the US military . If Yoga was being introduced as a religious practice Perkins might have a case but from what we understand is that Yoga techniques for relaxation are being experimented with to see if this might help soldiers suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder or help to reduce the numbers of soldiers suffering from similar disorders . But the ostensible reason for Yoga meditation may not even register with conservatives who tend to reject modern psychology or science .Many conservatives believe that PTSD is one of those made up liberal or secular mental disorders to allow cowardly soldiers to get out of further combat and to get a pension for life as a physically or mentally disabled veteran. But these same Christian Right leaders are all gungho about proselytizing their brand of Christianity to soldiers even proselytizing is not permitted in the US military.

...Tony Perkins, the head of the Family Research Council, a right-wing Christian think tank that has been classified as a hate group, has flipped out over a “wacky” new initiative being tested in U.S. military training programs. No, it’s not the end of “don’t ask, don’t tell” — it’s yoga and meditation classes.
A new Mind Fitness Training program being tested in the U.S. military has integrated yoga, breathing classes and meditation alongside other more traditional training regimes to keep soldiers calm and mentally fit and to reduce depression and use of alcohol and drugs.
To Perkins, however, this new initiative is a stand-in for one’s personal relationship with God. When he heard about the goals of the program — that yoga promotes relaxation, mental calm, productivity and restraint from substances— he exploded: “What a coincidence–so does faith! Unfortunately, the military seems intent on driving religion out and replacing it with wacky substitutes,” he said on his morning radio program. “They’ve added atheist chaplains, Wiccan worship centers, and now, meditation classes. But none of them are as effective or as constructive as a personal relationship with God. Unfortunately, though, it’s mind over what matters–and that’s faith.”
Perhaps one shouldn’t tell Perkins this, but faith hasn’t really been keeping up its end of the bargain lately — at least as far as the mental health of service members goes. The suicide rate of active service members has skyrocketed in the last few years. In 2012, the U.S. military averaged one suicide every single day, with service members were — shockingly — more likely to commit suicide than be killed on the battlefield.
Meanwhile, there is already a disturbing pattern of aggressive Christian proselytizing and accusations of government-sponsored prayer in major military institutions, including at West Point and the US Air Force Academy, which some say is more divisive than healing. A Yale Divinity School study voiced "concern that the overwhelmingly evangelical tone of general Protestant worship encouraged religious divisions rather than fostering understanding among basic cadets."
