Let's begin with a Gospel /Protest song by Mavis Staples -gotta love it
When Latinos in America marched in 2007 to protest for more practical and humane and compassionate immigration laws to deal with the six million or more designated "ill-legal-immigrants/Undocumented Migrant Workers and their families the response was a massive police presence and unwarranted police brutality. Which was either ignored or misrepresented by the US mainstream Media.
So it should not have been such a shock to the Occupy Movement participants that the people would crack as many heads as possible and arrest large numbers of protesters and to track many to their own homes.
This is a video which I mirrored and edited on YouTube
Is this the real face of America brute force against protesters to keep them in their place that is as immigrants legal or not and to keep them in their place just for being latino Mexican etc.
Another great song by Mavis Staples
Mavis Saples 991/2-Immigration march 2007-Police Brutality
It's odd how the Republicans and conservatives in America are so riled up about immigration when in fact Americans like to remind the world that they are proud of being a nation of immigrants. Are they now against immigration or only the immigration of latinos is it just a matter of race. If these illegal immigrants were white europeans or eastern europeans would it be a different story.
The message on the Statue of Liberty doesn't say to the nations of the world bring me your rich your entrpeurners and whites only or only the good looking . Maybe the Xenophobic elitists Eurocentric "Real Americans" should have the inscription changed or have the statue removed . They should send this message to all nations and peoples that the USA only accepts certain types of immigrants or refugees.
But "America firsters" gang of bigots have always been upset over various immigrants allowed into the USA such as the Irish, the Eastern Europeans, Asians ,Arabs and Jews.
America has always at its heart been somewhat xenophobic, racist and elitists.
Obama's announcement about signing an executive order on this issue the question arises why didn't he do this three years ago. Is he doing this because it is the right thing to do which it is but rather to regain the support of those millions who supported him in 2008. Is this a preview of how he will govern if re-elected if so then he deserves to be re-elected. Does this mean Obama will put away childish things such as bipartisanship and constantly looking over his shoulder to appease the extremist GOP and Wall Street and the Big Corporations.
But given Obama's announcement on immigrating and issuing an executive if combined with his recent endorsement of Gay Marriage Obama may be back on the right path . That is taking a stand not because you might win some votes but rather "because it is the right thing to do". The GOP will have a field day with this move and begin drumming up fear of immigration and spewing all of the ill-informed racist stereotyping and claiming the Latino immigrants are a threat to (white) America and nonsense over job losses and racist "Eliminationists " Style rhetoric referring to bogus stats about legal and illegal-immigrants made up by "Conservative Think-Tanks" (a contradiction it terms an oxymoron) warning about rises in crime levels or diseases comparing illegal -immigrants in the USA to a cancer to the nation and so on.

OBAMA ACTS TO SPARE SOME YOUTHS FROM DEPORTATION video via Huffpost,June 15, 2012
Prior to this announcement President Obama's stand on immigration has been to apprehend and deport larger numbers of illegal or undocumented immigrants than even former President Bush did.
and on the issue of government leaks and Whistleblowers Obama appears obsessed over leaks of any type whether they are leaked inorder to better inform the citizenry who have a right to much of the informations that the US government and the Military Industrial Complex want to keep secret. It was due to this sort of lies and propaganda and the keeping of important intel from American public which led to the Iraq war getting the support it did not deserve. We can say the same thing about the Obama engineered coup in Honduras or his bloody regime change to topple Gaddafi of Libya and now Asad of Syria to be followed by an unnecessary war with Iran and whatever countries are on Obama's hit list.

White House Leaks: Whistleblower Jesselyn Radack Expresses Concern About Investigations (VIDEO) By Jack Mirkinson at Huffpost.com,June 15,2012
As the investigation into possible White House leaks gets underway, one notable whistleblower said on Thursday that she worries about the consequences of the controversy.
The fallout from the appearance of high-level security details in a number of New York Times stories has quickly grown, with Attorney General Eric Holder opening a probe and with Republicans and conservative pundits hammering the White House for what they say are calculated leaks. (The White House has vehemently denied this.)
On Thursday's "Democracy Now," Jesselyn Radack, who exposed flaws in the interrogation of the so-called "American Taliban" John Walker Lindh, spoke about the controversy. While she said that she thought the information had been leaked "for political gain," and that the Obama administration was guilty of "hypocrisy" for also waging an unprecedented war against whistleblowers, Raddack expressed concern about the investigations.
"The answer is not to have even more leak investigations," she said. "The answer is to take a serious look at what the administration discloses, both good and bad, which should be out there for public debate."
Radack leaked details of Lindh's interrogation to Newsweek. She said she was scared that Congress could pass harsh laws which would suppress peoples' ability to blow the whistle as she did.
"I'm afraid that that could be the unintended consequence of all these investigations, which, in the end, I am not hopeful will really lead to any kind of accountability for anybody," she said.
