In the evening hours of the ongoing strike by the California Nurses Association and National Nurses United, protesters from Occupy Long Beach held a die-in in the main lobby of Long Beach Memorial Medical Center.
Every Christmas we are told we must show respect for Christianity and Jesus and be willing to say Merry Christmas and bow our heads yet if we speak openly and fearlessly about the message of Jesus we are condemned as "Rabble Rousers ", evil dissidents ,Communists and anarchists.
If it were not so controversial what we; that is the 99% should be doing is occupying Christmas and honoring the message of Jesus.
So Jesus has been co-opted by the Capitalists and the status quo.
Even during the Christmas Holidays American and NATO forces continue to bomb and kill innocent civilians to further the "Christian Crusades" to spread the twisted unrecognizible message of Jesus to the rest of the world.

If Gingrich and other Uberconseratives and the mean spirited neocons, Neoliberals and Evangelical Christians like John Hagee had their way Scrooge would actually be the hero who puts the Christian sentimentalists and other anti-capitalists in their place.
In their version Tiny Tim gets sent to the workhouse. Scrooge convinces the ghost of Jacob Marly that they were in the right and those criticizing them are evil Commie egalitarians who want to destroy the American unfettered Capitalists way of life.
Their slogan is to tell the poor to be quiet and accept their place as God and Capitalism demands.
The 1% are in their view the only real Christians since Jesus they argue hates the poor, the infirm , the weak and the wimpy peacemakers.
Their God loves war and destruction and the free market and the Military Intelligence Security Industrial Complex.
It is odd how those who prattle on about the War On Christmas are the same one's who reject Jesus' message about justice, equality, empathy, compassion and love.
We are told not to politicize Christmas but the fundamental message of teachings of Jesus even now are seen as dangerous and revolutionary and a threat to the 1% and the Rich and powerful who are in control of our society.
Christmas has turned into a bonanza for the Consumer based society and for keeping everyone in their place as ordained by the 1% and the Neo-liberals who promote the ideology of the status quo and the crushing of the majority of citizens.
To reject unfettered Capitalism we are told is to reject God and Jesus.

It's not Syria or Bahrain, it's Boston.
On December 14, Assistant District Attorney Benjamin Goldberger submitted a subpoena to Twitter requesting user info and IP addresses for several users, and also displayed his lack of tech savvy by asking for the account info of a couple of hashtags -- keywords used on Twitter.
Goldberger says the information is needed pursuant to a criminal investigation, and orders Twitter not to "disclose the existence of this request." It appears to have been leaked, and you can read it below.
You can send an email to Goldberger at the address at the bottom of the document and ask him what his office is up to, but you really should keep it polite -- he seems pretty litigious.

That right-wingers feel the need to push their faith with such craven tactics in the non-existant "war on Christmas" speaks volumes about the nature of spiritual self-doubt.
