Pam Geller's SIOA 9/11 Anti-Ground Zero Mosque Protest Spreading Islamophobia And Hate

Geller's reporting and hyping her anti-Ground Zero Mosque/ anti-Islam protest posted at her blog Atlas Shugs America Speaks! Historic 911 Rally Draws 40,000

There was no end. You could not see the horizon. The media pretends these tens of thousands of people don't exist. It's criminal.

Tens of thousands descended upon Ground Zero today to remember those we lost nine years ago, and to save the American principles of freedom that the sharia tramples.

Crickets are chirping in taqiya media newsrooms nationwide (although they were all there). There has been no coverage.

We organized a rally of remembrance that dwarfed the opposition. If the America haters had 4,000, we had ten times more. The media is playing the dueling rallies; it was no such thing.

Free people came from all over the country and all over the world to stand in solidarity with the 911 families and to declare our iron determination that no victory mosque will be built on their graves. The crowd was young and old, black and white ........ politics of all stripes. The crowd was beautiful. The crowd was proud and good and decent America. All the speakers were excellent. Rousing.

But the highlights included Geert Wilders, who was greeted as the great hero that he is, and spoke about how a sharia mosque at Ground Zero would be the death New York's proud tradition of Dutch tolerance.

Ambassador John Bolton spoke bluntly and unequivocally via video link about the affront to American values that this mosque would constitute.

Other powerful voices included Joseph Nassralla, who was the unwilling media darling of our June 6th rally, when a misunderstanding was blown out of proportion by the mainstream media as a racist incident. Joseph Nassralla was the Arab who was supposedly in a confrontation at that rally. At this rally we were proud to feature him, and he was so passionate and rousing in his love for America and fierce denunciation of the thousand-year-old Islamic oppression of the Coptic Christians in Egypt that the crowd went wild as Joseph led them in cheers of Gd Bless America!

But his warning was clear. The Ground Zero mosque would be the beginning of the end, and Egypt shows where the presence of Islam leads in a free nation.

Note:at a June 6 ,2010 protest Nassralla was attacked by participants because he looked like a Muslim-they didn't know he was part of their group

Related incident in which organizers take responsibility and protect the individual being harassed -note some organizers slip up though saying "...we're against Muslims not each other" so in fact they are against all Muslims and Islam not just radicals and terrorists. This is of course the very definition of "Islamophobia" in which no distinctions are ; it is all of Islam that is a danger.
Man Mistaken for Muslim Harassed at NY Anti-Mosque Rally

CAIRtv | August 23, 2010

An African-American man who was mistakenly thought to be Muslim was harassed at an anti-mosque rally yesterday in New York City. A crowd shouting "no mosque here" confronted the man and called him a "coward." The man is led away by rally organizers while one man shouts "Muhammad is a p*g." One person shouted "he must have voted for Obama." When some rally participants seek to defuse the confrontation, one man says, "we're against the Muslims, not each other."

Geller refers in her blog post to the "taqiya media" - Taqiya is according to Geller et al is a strategy of deception and lying which they believe the Qur'an makes permissible in the spreading of Islam in non-Islamic nations.

Geller and friends accuse the media and police for lying about the size of the crowd and that police and others were in fact preventing people who wanted to take part in Geller's protest from entering the area???

and from Geller's Atlas Shrugs blog Sept. 13:

UPDATE: Eyewitness accounts pouring in, this from Betty Jean in comments section:

Police lied about numbers at rally…Press too…well we expect it from them, but the police? They must have been given orders to knock down the numbers. Check the photos and ask BettyJean who was in the staging area before it started!

I was there and they were chasing us away – I was moved 7 times! I was moved so far away I had to go around the block and could not get back never heard all the speakers at all they closed access. The truth is they finally refused access to thousands.

So Pam Geller and her supporters claim the New York Police and other authorities and the media were and are in Geller's view part of the on-going Stealth Islamic Jihad in America which she contends is led by President Obama against Geller and her organization SIOA -Stop Islamization of America.

According to their conspiracy theory the Muslims with the help of the American left and liberals are behind everything that is wrong in America . Members of SIOA and related groups such Spencer's Jihad Watch argue that Muslim Americans are operating in the shadows to bring Sharia law to America and to impose Sharia on all Americans.

Geller like Glenn Beck , Sarah Palin, Newt Gingrich and Fox News and other racist Islamophobes believe the Media and those in authority are out to discredit their Anti-Obama Anti-Islam anti-Sharia campaigns. They also believe that their campaigns are representative of the majority of Americans but many fear taking part in protests because they fear retaliation by Muslim Americans and those in the media and authority including the White House who kowtow to the Islamists. This appears odd since just a few months ago Geller and friends were lucky to get 500 people at one of their protests in fact most had less than 50 people show up sometimes as few as 5 but who's counting.

Some Americans Led By Pam Geller's SIOA commemorate 9th Anniversary of 9/11 Terrorist attack By Spreading Islamophobic Hate of Islam and all Muslims.
The question is do these protesters represent the majority of Americans or A Small Minority of extremists.

Is this the sort of 'patriot' that Geller mobilises? SIOA protestor shouts kill all the Muslims

In the clip below there is some concern over a protest sign of 9/11 Truthers some of whom go to extremes with their conspiracy theories which are as bizarre as those of the Islamophobes such as pam geller or Robert Spencer.

What is surprising is how police and other authorities finesse the issue. They are not throwing these protesters to the ground etc. The police presence appears civilized. Now if this had been in our country in Toronto for instance there would have been 20,000 Canadian police making the situation much worse given their response a couple of months ago at the G8/G20 summit.

A national Islamic group has called for an FBI investigation after a burned Quran, pages allegedly covered in feces, was found Saturday at an East Lansing mosque frequented by the Michigan State University community.

"To have the Quran burned at a mosque is equivalent to having a cross burned at a black church," said Dawud Walid, executive director of the Michigan chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, referring to an intimidation tactic frequently used during the civil rights movement by those opposed. He has asked the FBI to consider the burning a hate crime.

The incident at the Islamic Center of East Lansing is one of at least three reported around 9/11, and comes on the heels of the Rev. Terry Jones' plan to burn Qurans on the anniversary, which he later abandoned.

Rev. Bob Old vowed to stick with his plan to burn the Quran. On Saturday, despite the national tempest and opposition from conservative Christian leaders including Middle Tennessee pastors, Old carried out his plan. But for all the controversy and hype, his Quran burning took place in front of just a handful of people, most of them from the media.

Old and the Rev. Danny Allen stood together in Old's backyard, answering what they say was a message from God. The pair soaked two copies of the Quran and one other Islamic text with lighter fluid, ignited them and watched the books disintegrate into ashes. "This is a book of hate, not a book of love," Old said, holding the Quran, before setting it afire. "It's a false book, it's a false prophet (Muhammad) and it's false Scripture."

Three protesters stood across the street from Old's home, holding signs that read "My husband fights terrorism and your actions perpetuate it" and "Proud of my country but ashamed of my neighbors."

Richard Bartholomew provides a useful roundup of websites featuring photos of the Stop Islamization of America demonstration in New York yesterday.

As predicted, the threat by Geller and Spencer that only American flags would be permitted on the demonstration and that signs would be "confiscated" was widely ignored.

In addition to posters with the word "Sharia" in dripping blood and flyers reading "No Obama's Mosque", slogans included "What God Do You Kill For?", "Cordoba=Conquer, Not Here!", "Muhummad was the First Radical Muslim: Osama bin Laden is Following Directions" and "Transform Islam, Not America". One man carried a placard with the word "Toilet Paper" and a Qur'an attached to it.

Anti-Islamic EDL -English Defense League Co-leader takes part in SIOA/Pam Geller's "Ground Zero Mosque " Protest

One of the 'courageous English patriots' who went to New York to support Pamela Geller

Here's a pic (via TPM) of a member of the EDL contingent who unlike Tommy Robinson made it though Immigration at JFK to attend Pamela Geller's anti-Park51 protest in New York. It looks to me very much like EDL co-leader Kevin Carroll, who is regarded as a bit of a hero in the EDL having been convicted of a public order offence following a clash with Islam4UK demonstrators in Luton.

Carroll also featured in a recent BBC TV documentary on the EDL. His protestations that he was neither a fascist nor a racist were rather undermined when he was confronted with evidence that he had signed the nomination papers for a British National Party candidate in the Luton council elections two years ago.

Indeed, Three Counties Unity reported that Carroll "has been an enthusiastic BNP supporter, living on the same estate as Luton BNP organiser Peter Fehr. He is well-known to local anti-fascists and was only dissuaded from standing as a candidate in the 2007 Luton Council elections by a last-minute plea from his partner, Mary Stevenson."

Pamela Geller, of course, has long been a fervent admirer of the EDL, hailing them as "courageous English patriots" who have been smeared by the media. "Libel and slander like 'racist', 'fascist', 'bigot', etc. color every news report of every counter-jihad action", Geller has written. "The quisling media is the propaganda arm of jihad. It's despicable. There is nothing racist, fascist, or bigoted about the EDL."

An enthusiastic proponent of conspiracy theories, Geller argues that if there are fascists within the ranks of the EDL it is only because they have "infiltrated" the organisation in an attempt to discredit it – "because the neo-Nazis have generally aligned with the Islamic jihad that the EDL resists". Will Geller now perhaps denounce Carroll as a fascist supporter of Islamism who has joined the counter-jihad movement in order to destroy it?

and check out Media Matters articles about Pam Geller's outrageous inflammatory comments on Islam and Muslims and her various conspiracy theories suggesting Obama is a secret Muslim and that he is not an American citizen etc. and that liberals and progressives are in cahoots with Muslims to destroy America Memo to media: Pamela Geller does not belong on national television July 14, 2010 and Geller routinely uses downright outrageous, hateful rhetoric

Geller: Obama "is a third worlder and a coward" who's "appeas[ing] his Islamic overlords. / Geller: Liberal Jews are "lost souls," "self-hating wretches." / Geller on Obama's Israel policy: "Jews Refuse to Get on Obama's Trains." Geller: Obama "wants jihad to win. That's what he is doing." Geller called Democrats "National Socialists." etc.

Geller’s Muslim-bashing has resonated with certain conservatives, several of whom, including former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin and former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, have come out against the Muslim community center. But Geller’s views are now also finding support from nearly every sector of America’s racist right. This is rather surprising because Geller is Jewish, a fact that is normally enough to dissuade radical rightists from too tight an embrace. Apparently, Geller is a Jew the racist right can love.

On the oldest and largest white nationalist forum, Stormfont.org, Geller’s anti-Islamic blog posts have been shared on several occasions. In January, for instance, “Thunderbird” posted several links to Geller’s writing and that of another Jewish woman who writes for the anti-immigrant hate site, VDARE.com. “Thunderbird” asked her fellow haters whether these “notorious right wing conservative Jewish bloggers are … on our side on many issues.” A compatriot, “GE Bonaventure” replied, “Jewish Nazi’s, Fascists, right wingers etc. are small in number but they can make sense.”

In May, “skinjob88” (88 is neo-Nazi code for “Heil Hitler”) gave Geller high praise on Stormfront: “In my country and the rest of Europe, [Muslims] are pushing for Islamification, they are killing good White teenagers and raping young White girls, they inter-marry and inter-breed with their family members. Don’t think for one minute the US is safe from Islam.” But the support wasn’t unanimous. One Stormfronter expressed anger that Geller seemed blind to the horrors of non-white races. In April, “Teutonic Beubonic” wrote: “She singles out Muslim immigrants in Europe for their uncivilized animal-like behavior and likeliness to commit crime, yet she refuses to mention anything about blacks or Latinos in the U.S. … Shame on her.”

Over at the Rebellion blog, run by the racist neo-secessionist group League of the South, head blogger “Old Rebel” has more than once expressed support for Geller’s anti-Islamic views. In August, referring to Geller’s protests in New York, the poster said that “[i]f the globalist elite has its way, more Muslims will be colonizing us.” “Anonymous” posted in reply: “Islam comprises much more than a cult. Islam, unlike any other religion I challenge you to name, is a top to bottom political movement that spans government, law, culture and worship practices that, when it achieves hegemony, tolerates no deviation from any of its aspects without severe penalty.”

American Renaissance, a race science outfit whose leader has written that black people are incapable of sustaining civilization, has posted more than one Geller column on its website. This past January, the group featured a Geller piece from The Washington Times that asserted that Muslims were attempting to replace European law with Islamic law. Her message resonated with American Renaissance’s readers. “It won’t be long before Muslims will be voting to end democracy in Europe and replacing it with Islamic law,” wrote one anonymous poster.

Geller’s work has been particularly popular at the National Policy Institute (NPI), a white nationalist organization that calls itself an “advocacy group for America’s historical majority” — white people. NPI has posted repeatedly about the planned New York center and NPI supporters have signed on to Geller’s message that Islam is bad for the U.S. This past month, in a typical comment to NPI’s boards, “bob” wrote: “[W]e need to keep the Muslims from doing what they have done to the UK and many other parts of Europe. … It is unwise to help violent people gradually take over the country and it is not mercy or justice for anyone to let them destroy it.”

The white supremacist Council of Conservative Citizens, which has close ties to NPI, couldn’t agree more. The group had this to say on its blog about the planned New York mosque: “This USED TO BE America.”

Perhaps part of the reason that Geller is getting a hearing with these extremists is that she shares more than just their anti-Muslim views. This past April, Geller defended the South African apartheid-defending terrorist Eugene Terre’Blanche after he was found murdered. She blamed his death on “black supremacism.”

“The whites in South Africa are keenly aware of the plans to kill them, better known as ‘The night of the long knives,’” Geller wrote on her blog Atlas Shrugs. “They expect it to happen very soon after the death of Mandela, but to tell this to the world is a waste of energy. Atlas has been reporting on this horror that the savages in the media ignore.”

And Geller has been defending and working with organizations that are blatantly racist and anti-Semitic. This past June, Geller spoke at an event in Paris put on by the Bloc Identitaire, which oppose srace-mixing and “Islamic imperialism.” Geller also is a proud supporter of the English Defence League , described by Salon.com as “a far-right street movement that sprang up in the United Kingdom earlier this year to protest planned construction of mosques and to stoke fear of Islam more broadly.” According to the Guardian, EDL members have been involved in violent anti-mosque protests, made violent statements that included the threat that an EDL member may one day “murder” any Muslims he can get his hands on, and has engaged in “racism” and “virulent Islamophobia.”

and so it goes,
GORD.
