The Israeli current government under Prime Minister Netanyahu is rather extremist and appears to be using its influence in the United States to ignore International Law, the Law of the Sea, The Geneva Conventions and the United Nations to commit acts of piracy, targeted assassinations , kidnapping , looting, murder & other terrorist actions etc.
The US government is heavily influenced not just by Israel and its lobbyists in Washington but also by Evangelical Christians ie Christians United For Israel who believe Israel must be supported & defended unconditionally.
So they become the enablers of Israel's flagrant violations of human rights and the UN judgements against Israel.
The Israeli government & its Evangelical Christian supporters ignore the criticisms of human rights organizations which have condemned Israel's illegal and immoral blockade of Gaza.
So they call any NGO that criticizes Israel as being pro-Palestinian and anti-Israel and therefore according to them such groups are characterized as being anti-Semitic. For instance Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch and The International Committee of the Red Cross have been and are still critical of Israel's draconian treatment of the Palestinians, Gaza and Arab Israelis.
Israel under Netanyahu is not interested in a peaceful settlement since they believe the Palestinians must give up on their claims against Israel while Israel should decide what the ultimate solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict should be .
It is the most radical and extremist forces in the Israeli government and amongst the so-called Jewish Settlers movement who are now calling the shots.
