Chris Wright discusses the Lausanne Covenant

IN THE BEGINNING WAS THE WORD DECLARED AT Lausanne called

Part of the Text of "the Lausanne Covenant":

INTRODUCTION

We, members of the Church of Jesus Christ, from more than 150 nations, participants in the International Congress on World Evangelization at Lausanne, praise God for his great salvation and rejoice in the fellowship he has given us with himself and with each other. We are deeply stirred by what God is doing in our day, moved to penitence by our failures and challenged by the unfinished task of evangelization. We believe the Gospel is God's good news for the whole world, and we are determined by his grace to obey Christ's commission to proclaim it to all mankind and to make disciples of every nation. We desire, therefore, to affirm our faith and our resolve, and to make public our covenant.

1. THE PURPOSE OF GOD

We affirm our belief in the one-eternal God, Creator and Lord of the world, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, who governs all things according to the purpose of his will. He has been calling out from the world a people for himself, and sending his people back into the world to be his servants and his witnesses, for the extension of his kingdom, the building up of Christ's body, and the glory of his name. We confess with shame that we have often denied our calling and failed in our mission, by becoming conformed to the world or by withdrawing from it. Yet we rejoice that even when borne by earthen vessels the gospel is still a precious treasure. To the task of making that treasure known in the power of the Holy Spirit we desire to dedicate ourselves anew.

2. THE AUTHORITY AND POWER OF THE BIBLE

We affirm the divine inspiration, truthfulness and authority of both Old and New Testament Scriptures in their entirety as the only written word of God, without error in all that it affirms, and the only infallible rule of faith and practice. We also affirm the power of God's word to accomplish his purpose of salvation. The message of the Bible is addressed to all men and women. For God's revelation in Christ and in Scripture is unchangeable. Through it the Holy Spirit still speaks today. He illumines the minds of God's people in every culture to perceive its truth freshly through their own eyes and thus discloses to the whole Church ever more of the many-colored wisdom of God.

3. THE UNIQUENESS AND UNIVERSALITY OF CHRIST
We affirm that there is only one Saviour and only one gospel, although there is a wide diversity of evangelistic approaches. We recognise that everyone has some knowledge of God through his general revelation in nature. But we deny that this can save, for people suppress the truth by their unrighteousness. We also reject as derogatory to Christ and the gospel every kind of syncretism and dialogue which implies that Christ speaks equally through all religions and ideologies. Jesus Christ, being himself the only God-man, who gave himself as the only ransom for sinners, is the only mediator between God and people. There is no other name by which we must be saved. All men and women are perishing because of sin, but God loves everyone, not wishing that any should perish but that all should repent. Yet those who reject Christ repudiate the joy of salvation and condemn themselves to eternal separation from God. To proclaim Jesus as "the Saviour of the world" is not to affirm that all people are either automatically or ultimately saved, still less to affirm that all religions offer salvation in Christ. Rather it is to proclaim God's love for a world of sinners and to invite everyone to respond to him as Saviour and Lord in the wholehearted personal commitment of repentance and faith. Jesus Christ has been exalted above every other name; we long for the day when every knee shall bow to him and every tongue shall confess him Lord.

4. THE NATURE OF EVANGELISM
To evangelize is to spread the good news that Jesus Christ died for our sins and was raised from the dead according to the Scriptures, and that as the reigning Lord he now offers the forgiveness of sins and the liberating gifts of the Spirit to all who repent and believe. Our Christian presence in the world is indispensable to evangelism, and so is that kind of dialogue whose purpose is to listen sensitively in order to understand. But evangelism itself is the proclamation of the historical, biblical Christ as Saviour and Lord, with a view to persuading people to come to him personally and so be reconciled to God. In issuing the gospel invitation we have no liberty to conceal the cost of discipleship. Jesus still calls all who would follow him to deny themselves, take up their cross, and identify themselves with his new community. The results of evangelism include obedience to Christ, incorporation into his Church and responsible service in the world.

5. CHRISTIAN SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
We affirm that God is both the Creator and the Judge of all people. We therefore should share his concern for justice and reconciliation throughout human society and for the liberation of men and women from every kind of oppression. Because men and women are made in the image of God, every person, regardless of race, religion, colour, culture, class, sex or age, has an intrinsic dignity because of which he or she should be respected and served, not exploited. Here too we express penitence both for our neglect and for having sometimes regarded evangelism and social concern as mutually exclusive. Although reconciliation with other people is not reconciliation with God, nor is social action evangelism, nor is political liberation salvation, nevertheless we affirm that evangelism and socio-political involvement are both part of our Christian duty. For both are necessary expressions of our doctrines of God and man, our love for our neighbour and our obedience to Jesus Christ. The message of salvation implies also a message of judgment upon every form of alienation, oppression and discrimination, and we should not be afraid to denounce evil and injustice wherever they exist. When people receive Christ they are born again into his kingdom and must seek not only to exhibit but also to spread its righteousness in the midst of an unrighteous world. The salvation we claim should be transforming us in the totality of our personal and social responsibilities. Faith without works is dead.

and so it goes,

Evangelical Christian Dominionists Reject The Traditional Role of The Chaplaincy in The US Military

Christine O'Donnell Fails Test on The US Constitution and First Amendment clarifying The Separation Of Church and State in USA

In the clip below Evangelical Chaplains argue they are the ones being oppressed . They claim that there are those who insist they stop proselytizing to non-Evangelical Christian soldiers or those of other faiths or no faith.
The issue is that when they are preaching to Evangelical Christian soldiers they can say what they want. But when speaking before a diverse group of soldiers, a multi-faith group the chaplains whether Christian , Jewish, Muslim or Hindu etc. are required not to proselytize.

Proselytizing in the military to other military personnel is strictly forbidden Part of the reason for this is that soldiers are a trapped audience. So if military personnel wish to attend services for Christians where the personnel come from different sects of Christianity they are required to tailor their services accordingly. Chaplains traditionally in the US military are supposed to be trained to offer advice and guidance to those who are of different faiths. So if a soldier who is not a christian goes to a chaplain for advice and spiritual counseling the Chaplain must keep in mind the individual's faith and not demean or be dismissive or hostile towards that individual's faith . But some Christian Evangelical Fundamentalist and Dominionists basically want to re-interpret or redefine the role of the military chaplaincy. They see it as just another means to an end which is to evangelize and proselytize. They forget that their role is at times quite different and much more complex than that of an ordinary civilian minister.

PBS on Military Chaplains
JohnBaptistHenry | September 08, 2009

Chaplains have been a part of the US Military since this nation's inception.

To deny chaplains the right to pray, practice their faith and conduct services according to their faith is unconstitutional and un-American!

Chaplain Klingenschmitt fights the regulation that in public prayers to military personnel of different Christian sects and those of non-Christian faiths. In order to fight the military Klingenschmitt went on a hunger strike arguing he and other Christian Chaplains and military personnel who are Christian are being discriminated against. This is rather odd since what he and other Christian evangelicals are fighting for is dominance over the military chaplaincy.

Others who are critical of Evangelical Christian chaplains is that large numbers of the newer chaplains who are evangelical have rather dubious or questionable theological training -they can basically do a degree online in theology from some Evangelical school which may not be certified properly to hand out such degrees.

Once again the offenders and purists argue that they are the ones being discriminated against when in fact the problem is that a large portion of these Evangelical Christian Dominionists are the ones who are coercing and bullying non-Evangelical Christians and those of other faiths. Their Chaplains encourage the members of their flocks who are "true Believers" and who are the "Real Christians" to break with military regulations and to engage in aggressive and militant proselytizing But as we have seen in previous posts concerning this issue and Mikey Weinstein's Military Religious Freedom Foundation that this goes beyond a sort of off hand friendly type of evangelizing but rather soon escalates into the harassing or shunning and even engaging in verbal assaults which sometimes escalate into physical and or psychological assaults against those those who refuse to become "Born Again Evangelical Fundamentalist" (aka The Pod People ).

In turn the Chaplaincy having become predominately evangelical Christian is using its powerful position in authority to repress or just ignore complaints made by military personnel about these activities of the Evangelical Chaplains. They also take on the issue by attacking those who complain as anti-Christian or trouble makers or as not being team players. Their idea or ideal for Military cohesiveness is to make the US military as exclusively Evangelical Christian Dominionist as possible.

Unfortunately the Bush/Cheney/Rumsfeld Regime ignore these issues and in fact sided with the Evangelical Christian Dominionists. President Obama given his reluctance to confrontation has done nothing to resolve these issues of Religious Freedom and the Separation of Church and State as these issues apply to the US Military or The Pentagon or other branches of government where these Christian Dominionists are active either overtly or covertly who may use Stealth-like tactics like those proposed in the early 1990s by the likes of Gary Bauer, Gary North, Ralph Reed . As Reed points out this is a war a cultural war but nonetheless a war and Christians in order to gain ground and to slowly ware down their enemies IE Non-Evangelical Christians and non-Christians and people of other faiths along-with secularists, liberals, humanists, atheists and multiculturalists by taking part in Guerrilla Warfare.

These Evangelical Christian Fundamentalists and Dominionists have been working in a simpleminded patient fashion ( though at times not so patient and at times being internally fractious) for over three decades to re-make America into a wholly Christian dominated Nation whose laws are a reflection of a narrow, literalistic, inerrant, interpretation of the Holy Bible .

The one thing that can be said about the Religious Right is that they are determined and persistent and that just when some in the media or academia announces their "death-knell" they soon enough rise once again. These intervals between fervent activity are merely a problem with a few set backs and merely an intermission as it were as they regather their forces and re-define their movements best strategies and tactics for moving forward.

Given as we have seen the ignorance of many American citizens and those in political positions and those running in current political campaign in the US it is no surprise that there is some confusion about the role of the Chaplaincy and the Separation of Church and State. Every day in the US media and in thousands of churches their is an ongoing attack on those who are not Christian Evangelical Dominionists. This insistence on religious discrimination is the bread and butter of people like Glenn Beck, O'Reilly, Fox News and the Tea Bagger Nation and the GOP including individuals such as Christine O'Donnell , Michelle Bachmann, Sarah Palin, Newt Gingrich, Brownback etc.

The uploader of this video clip is clearly on the side of the Christian Evangelicals but misses the whole point of Religious Freedom and the notion of Freedom From Religion and the Separation of Church and state as found in the US Constitution.
Of course those on the side of Evangelical Christians argue that there is no such animal as the Separation of Church and State. They are also unable to grasp the basic role of Chaplains in the military. They are not there to spread the word of Jesus or Buddha or Allah or Yahweh or KRSNA. They are there to give comfort , spiritual guidance to military personnel whatever their faith.

US Navy Chaplin Gordon Klingenschmitt

JohnBaptistHenry | September 08, 2009

A U.S. Navy chaplain who prayed "in Jesus' name" as his conscience dictated was ejected from the military service "in retaliation" for his victorious battle to change Navy policy that required religious rites be "non-sectarian," and for praying in "Jesus' name."

The purpose of Chaplains in the US Military is to care for those of particular religious beliefs. It is unconstitutional to forbid the purpose the Chaplaincy was instituted to begin with.

Yesterday Christine O'Donnell (R-DE) three-time GOP Senate nominee-- and widely acknowledged nincompoop who even Karl Rove said was insupportable-- insisted the Constitution (the U.S. one) doesn't provide for a clause separating Church and State. At a law school debate with Chris Coons she demanded to know "Where in the Constitution is the separation of church and state?" Hanging around teabagger/faux Constitutionalists it's understandable why she might not be aware of one of the most important achievements of the Founding Fathers. Presumably, the laughter of the students has now made her aware of her own preposterous and abject lack of knowledge. An astonished Coons quoted the relevant part of the First Amendment to her: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof." Another one for the teabaggers to try to eliminate!

After Bill Huizenga (the eventual winner of the GOP primary, currently Fred's opponent) declared himself opposed to all procedures, except in the case of the life of the mother (what a guy!), he gave a sort of "tough shit" shrug.

"The Crusade for a Christian Military": Are US Forces Trying to Convert Afghans to Christianity?

The military is denying it allows its soldiers to proselytize to Afghans, following the release of footage showing US soldiers in Afghanistan discussing how to distribute Bibles translated into Pashto and Dari. We speak to Air Force veteran and former Reagan administration counsel Mikey Weinstein, founder of the Military Religious Freedom Foundation, and journalist Jeff Sharlet, author of a Harpers Magazine article on The Crusade for a Christian Military.

The clip below is from the documentary film With God On Our Side exposing the attitude towards religious belief , proselytizing , harassment of soldiers etc.
Here we see a soldier doing what he is supposed to in reporting harassment from other soldiers because of his religious affiliation. The officer is more inclined to believe the soldier complaining is the problem he just needs to be "Saved" from his false religious beliefs. This has been going on for decades but increased dramatically after 9/11 and then after the release of the film The Passion of Christ by Mel Gibson.

With God On Our Side

Army claims the video of Evangelical Christian US Soldiers proselytizing to Afghans and Iraqis is taken out of context and is just another liberal media attack on the War effort, the troops and Christians.

The US Military refuses to probe into the issue of proselytizing to citizens of a country in which US military personnel are stationed.

They also as we have noted are dismissive of any complaints made by US military personnel concerning harassment of soldiers who are non-evangelical Christians or of other faiths and those who ascribe to no faith. As has been argued there are thousands of complaints made but few are reported or acted upon. The problem is that the military brass are either sympathetic and may themselves even encouraging proselytizing or are reluctant to get involved because they would then be seen as breaking ranks or as not being a team player as it were or as being hostile towards Evangelical Christians.

US Army Evangelical Bible group using deceptive ways to convert local Afghans to Christianity

muwa7idnafs | May 08, 2009

Extended footage shot by Brian Hughes, a US documentary maker and former member of the US military who spent several days in Bagram near Kabul.

The material, which appears to show the Christian soldiers apparently discussing the conversion of Afghans, was obtained by Al Jazeera's Bays, who has covered Afghanistan extensively.

It appears that the US Military establishment is dismissive of soldiers who are having psychological problems due to Post Traumatic Stress Disorder or other issues. Whether they are still on the battlefield or have returned to the US they are more often sent to a chaplain than to a medical doctor or a psychiatrist. So PTSD is still not being treated properly and is seen as just weakness on the part of the soldier or as General Patton claimed in 1944 or so that such soldiers are just malingerers and just need a slap across the face or a kick in the butt. It is a agreed upon disorder by medical and psychiatric organizations but that's not good enough for the US military.

Doctor Chaplain and the Army of God by Kelley B. Vlahos, October 19, 2010 at Anti-War.com via Military Religious Freedom Foundation

Is the military feeding traumatized soldiers in need of counseling to proselytizing evangelical chaplains, instead of mental health professionals?

You bet, says Mikey Weinstein of the Military Religious Freedom Foundation (MRFF), which has been tracking what Weinstein likes to call the “Fundamentalist-Christian-Para-Church-Military-Corporate-Proselytizing-Complex” for five years. More recently, there’s been “increasingly frequent and alarming” charges that religion is being pushed on soldiers with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder in lieu of traditional treatment on the battlefield.

In fact, MRFF and Veterans for Common Sense (VCS) recently wrote to Defense Secretary Bob Gates, complaining that “when, on active duty, our service members sought urgently needed mental health counseling while on the battlefield and with the gun smoke practically still in their faces, they were instead sent to evangelizing chaplains, who are apparently being used with increasing frequency to provide mental health care due to the acute shortage of mental health professionals.”

Weinstein said soldiers are being told that finding Jesus is the only way to overcome the trauma.

The Pentagon press office did not return calls or emails for comment.

“What we’re seeing is a national disgrace that is actually increasing suicides rather than reducing them,” charged Weinstein in an interview with Antiwar.com.

While that would be hard to prove, Weinstein has plenty of reason for believing it. In five years of investigations, complaints and lawsuits – amassing a client base of more than 18,000 active duty service members – the former Air Force Judge Advocate General (JAG) has uncovered a Christian subculture within the military that not only instructs and favors evangelism, it insists upon it, from the service academies on up – obliterating not only the constitutional restriction on state-sponsored religion, but fueling the dangerous perception that America is on a religious crusade against the Muslim world.

Etiology

By defihelplessness in an individual. Typically the symptoms develop shortly after the eventnition, PTSD always follows a traumatic event which causes intense fear and/or , but may take years. The duration for symptoms is at least one month for this diagnosis.

Symptoms

Symptoms include re-experiencing the trauma through nightmares, obsessive thoughts, and flashbacks (feeling as if you are actually in the traumatic situation again). There is an avoidance component as well, where the individual avoids situations, people, and/or objects which remind him or her about the traumatic event (e.g., a person experiencing PTSD after a serious car accident might avoid driving or being a passenger in a car). Finally, there is increased anxiety in general, possibly with a heightened startle response (e.g., very jumpy, startle easy by noises).

Treatment

Psychological treatment is considered the most effective means to recovery from PTSD, although some medications (such as antianxiety meds) can help alleviate some symptoms during the treatment process.

Prognosis

Prognosis ranges from moderate to very good. Those with the best prognosis include situations where the traumatic event was acute or occurred only one tim
e (e.g., car accident) rather than chronic, or on-going trauma (e.g., ongoing sexual abuse, war).

Crusaders: US Military 's Christian Dominionists Use Jesus Rifles To Hunt Down Muslims

Christian Dominionists believe the USA is in a Holy War against Islam & other enemies of True Christianity.
Besides Jesus Camp for kids and Ron Luce's Battle Cry for teens there is also
S.F.C. Soldiers For Christ Boot Camp where they crush individuality for Group Consensus and Cohesion.
Preparing Young Adults and teens to be Martyrs For Christ

and then comes the real thing when they enlist in the US Military and are told repeatedly that they are Soldiers For Christ

United States of Christ

Officers in the US Military during training refer to rifles as" Jesus Rifles"
and that they are fighting a Holy War or Crusade against Islam. Each soldier is seen as a Warrior for Jesus and those killed as Martyrs. Compare to Mujaheddin , Al Qaeda, Taliban who also believe they are fighting a Holy War and those killed are Martyrs.

'Jesus Rifles' - Christian Crusade Against Muslims In The 21st Century?

U.S. Military Weapons Inscribed With Secret 'Jesus' Bible Codes. Pentagon supplier for rifle sights says it has 'always' added New Testament references

Coded references to New Testament Bible passages about Jesus Christ are inscribed on high-powered rifle sights provided to the U.S. military by a Michigan company, an ABC News investigation has found.

The sights are used by U.S. troops in Iraq and Afghanistan and in the training of Iraqi and Afghan soldiers. The maker of the sights, Trijicon, has a $660 million multi-year contract to provide up to 800,000 sights to the Marine Corps, and additional contracts to provide sights to the U.S. Army.

U.S. military rules specifically prohibit the proselytizing of any religion in Iraq or Afghanistan and were drawn up in order to prevent criticism that the U.S. was embarked on a religious "Crusade" in its war against al Qaeda and Iraqi insurgents.

One of the citations on the gun sights, 2COR4:6, is an apparent reference to Second Corinthians 4:6 of the New Testament, which reads: "For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ."

Other references include citations from the books of Revelation, Matthew and John dealing with Jesus as "the light of the world." John 8:12, referred to on the gun sights as JN8:12, reads, "Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life."

Trijicon confirmed to ABCNews.com that it adds the biblical codes to the sights sold to the U.S. military. Tom Munson, director of sales and marketing for Trijicon, which is based in Wixom, Michigan, said the inscriptions "have always been there" and said there was nothing wrong or illegal with adding them. Munson said the issue was being raised by a group that is "not Christian." The company has said the practice began under its founder, Glyn Bindon, a devout Christian from South Africa who was killed in a 2003 plane crash.

Cindy Jacobs Root 52 Prayer Strategy banner
National Prayer Strategy

The Vision

The Lord spoke to Cindy in 2007 about a new prayer movement that would arise to "Possess the Gates in 2008". This prayer movement would start in the United States and expand on a global scale, igniting a holy reformation in every sphere of society. As we legislate in the heavens through reformation intercession, we will turn the tide on unrighteousness in the nations of the earth! God is calling forth an army of reformers. Will you join us?

For 2010, the United States Reformation Prayer Network is implementing a national prayer strategy called "Root 52". This prayer initiative is a 52-week prayer strategy to bring the nation back to its covenant roots.

During the first two weeks of 2010, all 50 states stood together to fast and pray for our national leadership and national governmental structure. Now, we are moving forward with each state network continuing to fast and pray with a focus on government leadership and the seven mountains. The torch of prayer and fasting will go "en route" from state to state in the sequence that they came to form the United States of America, until we complete 52 weeks, equaling 1 year.

Intercessory Prayer - If enough people pray their wish will come true whether they pray for a new car, house, microwave, or to be cured of cancer or pray God's intervention for a GOP (Republican)victory in November or for Obama to lose his magic powers ( which must come from the Devil and his principalities)???

Cindy Jacobs Revival in Australia
She tells the audience that there is a cloak of darness over the Pacific Rim preventing them from so far taking part in the New Revival of Christian Evangelical Fundamentalism and the "Indwelling of the Holy Spirit"- So if enough people in her audiences will pray sincerely for God to dispel these principalities of Darkness then they too can take part in the New Christian Revival and therefore begin the process of making Australia into a Nation For Christ.

mcmasterministries | October 18, 2010

prophetic word over Australia from The Rim Of Fire Conference 2010

According to Christian Dominionist they believe it is their duty to God to make America into a Christian Country. That is of course to be achieved by the "Right Kind " of Christian. In order to make America a Christian Nation Christians must reclaim the 7 Mountains of influence in American culture or of Western Civilization.

The military is one of the Seven Mountains and that area of influence and power is quickly on its way to becoming God's Army.

They might use the military which they view as God's Army to take on the non-believes within the borders of the United States as they go forward with instituting God's Law based upon a literal interpretation of the Bible and the Visions and messages received from God by their leadership. If such messages are seen as coming directly from God then they cannot be questioned or altered.

But the creation even of a theocratic state is basically a Domestic affair and therefore beyond the jurisdiction of the United Nations or of any foreign power . It would become an International concern if government policies resulted in large numbers of refugees trying to escape a brutal authoritarian regime .

There's at least two other reasons for other Nations to be concerned about America 's military becoming in effect God's Army.

One is the possibility of turning the War On Terror into an all out Holy War
and given America's military might such a war would be extremely destructive and bloody. So this is not just a concern of Americans it is a concern for most of the nations of the world.

Another concern for the International community is the possibility of America's Nuclear arsenal falling into the hands of these fanatical Christian Dominionist who believe that they are getting their orders directly from God.
These Christian Extremists if they get enough power and are in control of America's nuclear arsenal may come to believe this too is part of God's Will and they therefore may feel compelled to use Nuclear Weapons against their enemies that is not just Islam but any religious or secular group which questions their authority.
Their reasoning as such is based upon their belief that they are God's chosen ones and that God speaks directly to their leaders .

Reclaiming The Seven Mountains of Culture

There are 7 Mountains of Influence in Culture...
In 1975, Bill Bright, founder of Campus Crusade, and Loren Cunningham, founder of Youth With a Mission, had lunch together in Colorado. God simultaneously gave each of these change agents a message to give to the other. During that same time frame Francis Schaeffer was given a similar message.

That message was that if we are to impact any nation for Jesus Christ, then we would have to affect the seven spheres, or mountains of society that are the pillars of any society. These seven mountains are business, government, media, arts and entertainment, education, the family and religion. There are many subgroups under these main categories.

About a month later the Lord showed Francis Schaeffer the same thing. In essence, God was telling these three change agents where the battlefield was. It was here where culture would be won or lost. Their assignment was to raise up change agents to scale the mountains and to help a new generation of change agents understand the larger story. This website is designed to help educate those who wish to become change agents in culture for Christian values and to connect like-minded men and women for a common vision.

Definition Christian Dominionist:

"subset of evangelical Christianity that goes by a long name: pre-millennial dispensational reconstructionist dominionist fundamentalist evangelical Christianity ( or Christian Dominionists)

"Officer Christian Fellowship" is made up of approximately 15,000 active military officers .

Therefore for the most part complaints concerning the activities of these Christian Dominionists to superior officers and the chain of command is not feasible-
It is therefore already the case that the chain of command has been compromised not by Islamic Jihadists or liberals, or socialist or communists but by Bible Thumping self-righteous Christian Dominionists who insist that the US military be purged of all who are not the "right kind of Christian".

These Christian extremist are comparable to the Muslim rulers of Saudi Arabia, Iran or Afghanistan's Taliban . These are the Puritans reborn. The thing about the Puritans and the reason they left Europe was not because they wanted religious freedom but was rather due to their uncompromising theology which commanded them to take power and to re-make all the laws of the land to be a reflection of their austere , rigid, brutal moral code of intolerance which demanded cruel, harsh punishments in the public square.

Incredibly it has been documented that officers who are Christian Dominionists in the US Military blame Non-Christians or Non-Christian Dominionists for their units casualties and set-backs on the battlefield in Iraq and Afghanistan etc.

their agenda:
*transforming the US military into a Christian Military
*ambassadors for Christ in uniform
*empowered by the Holy Spirit
* to fight a Holy War in the name of Jesus

News & Christian Dominionism.

The concept of "the right kind of Christian" is discussed in terms of Christian dominionists and their efforts to influence the military. 96% of the servicemen who receive help from MRFF are Christians. Chris Rodda, MRFF's Senior Research Director, reveals the cult tactics of Christian evangelicals having influence in the military. Other topics include the Jesus rifles, the Officers Christian Fellowship, and the sheer number of active members of the armed forces who contact MRFF for help. Pursuing complaints through military channels is often not a viable option for many service people.

Extremist Christian sects in America want to use the U.S. military to create a holy war.

Anyway whenever I come across these groups' websites one of the first things I do is check out their description of their group in the "about us " section and next is their "Statement on Faith" . It is in this statement you get their basic theology.
As soon as you read for instance or as you see below that they believe for instance in the literal inerrant reading of the Bible then we know the organization or individual can be described as being Protestant Fundamentalist.

Then we note whether or not they insist upon a Real Christian as one who is "Born Again" all other so called Christians they see as heretics or non-believers. Cindy Jacobs group Generals International insist on a literal reading of the Bible and in the "Born Again "experience and the "indwelling of the Holy Spirit " which means that they believe in the "Gifts of the Spirit" that is faith healing, the power of intercessory prayer, speaking in tongues and the presence of the evil principalities of Satan which can result in an Individual or group or a physical /geographical area being Demon Possessed. ( In order to cleanse an are they use "Prayer Walking" and Prayer or "Spiritual Mapping".

Generals International Statement of Faith

1. We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God.

2. We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

3. We believe in the deity and humanity of Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, in His present rule as Head of the Church and in His personal return in power and glory.

4. We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful men regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential.

5. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.

6. We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost, they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.

7. We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ, with equality across racial, gender, and class differences.

About US: The ministry of Generals International was founded in 1985 by Mike and Cindy Jacobs in the town of Weatherford, Texas. Originally named Crown of Glory, it started as a small group of leaders gathering to discuss and intercede for the corporate sin issues of the nation and grew into a network of intercessory leaders across the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex.

As Crown of Glory moved from a local group to a national and then international and ministry, they had to change their name. When Cindy was praying for the nation, God told her to call together the intercessory strategy-makers, or generals. After gathering leaders together from across the nation in conferences called Generals of Intercession, Crown of Glory became known as Generals of Intercession.

Lance Wallnau combines prosperity gospel & the feel Good New Agey theology with dominionist Theology of the Seven Mountains.
He argues that the only way to save democracy is to establish Christ as the foundation of these nations. The nations he says are failing because they have turned away from Christ and this in turn causes the failure of the economic system. This failure of the economy leads to desperation and the rise of populist authoritarian or dictatorial regimes.

The New Prophets: "We Can Do The Same or Greater Things Than Jesus" by Kyle Rightwing Watch via People for the American way" October 15, 2010

C. Peter Wagner is widely regarded as the man responsible for the New Apostolic Reformation which gave rise to the self-proclaimed prophets and apostles like Lou Engle, Cindy Jacobs, Jim Garlow, Lance Wallnau, Rick Joyner, Chuck Pierce, and the other Dominionist/7 Mountain advocates who are slowly working their way into the Religious Right mainstream.

For months, I have been trying to hammer home the point that when these activists refer to themselves as "prophets" and "apostles" on par with Jesus, they mean that literally.

And just to drive home that point, here is a partial transcript audio of Wagner speaking during the Generals International webcast earlier this month as he explains how, through the Holy Spirit, people like himself can perform miracles that outshine even Jesus Christ himself:

The Holy Spirit was the source of all of Jesus' power during his earthly ministry. Jesus exercised no power of or by himself. We can do the same or greater things than Jesus did because we have access to the same power source.

As so the whole ministry of Jesus from the beginning to the end was a ministry of the Holy Spirit through Jesus' human nature. And that is why, when you think about it now and think about what I've just said, we can believe that Jesus said "he who believes in me, the works that I do, he will do also, and even greater works than these will he do because I go to my Father, I go to my Father and send the Holy Spirit."

So we now have the Holy Spirit, we have the Holy Spirit and when we're filled with the Holy Spirit - which is absolutely essential, we've got to be filled with the Holy Spirit - but when we're filled with the Holy Spirit we can move into ministries such as the Reformation Prayer Network and we can pray for the transformation of our neighborhood, we can pray for the transformation of our city, of our state, of our nation, of our government mountain, the family mountain, the arts and entertainment mountain, the education mountain, the business mountain.

We can pray for all these mountains with power because we have that power that Jesus and it's up to us to be in a place where we're open to release that power of the Holy Spirit so that His name will be know and that His kingdom will advance.

This is the theology at the heart of the New Apostolic Reformation which is slowly infiltrating the Religious Right with the rise of people like Lou Engle and behind the Dominionist/7 Mountains ideology that Christians must gain control of every aspect of cultural power.

Today's sermon by Lance Wallnau on the necessity of taking over America through stealth by Christian Evangelical Dominionists . Walnau adheres to the so called "Seven Mountains Kingdom Theology". This theology will inevitably lead to a form of theocracy. As Rousas Rushdoony has said it will be from the bottom up not from the top down. So True Believers will begin at the local level and move from school board town councils to mayors , senators, governors to the pentagon to the White House . Much of this some critics believe they have already accomplished . But he also introduces the bizarre claim of the opening of portals to Heaven and Hell.

Wallnau: Islam, Gays, and Abortion Are Attacking America From the Gates of Hell by Kyle at Right Wing Watch via People For the American Way, October 15, 2010

We have been writing a lot about the rise of the Dominionists like Lou Engle and Cindy Jacobs within the traditional Religious Right movement and paying close attention to the influence of Seven Mountains theology, which is the idea that Christians are called upon to gain control of the seven key aspects of culture (government, media, business, education, etc...) in order to unleash God's kingdom on Earth and bring about the return of Jesus Christ.

One of the key proponents of this Seven Mountains theology is Lance Wallnau who, thank to Jim Garlow, has become more involved in the political aspects of the Religious Right movement through Garlow's Pray and ACT effort.

Earlier this month Cindy Jacobs and Generals International hosted a three hour webcast that featured Wallnau, as well as New Apostolic Reformation godfather C. Peter Wagner, during which Wallnau laid out how Christians are supposed to gain control over these mountains through both "overt" and "covert" means .... and those little upside-down horseshoe things floating above the 7 mountains on the white board represent the gates of Hell though which same-sex marriage, abortion, and Islam are attacking America:

"You go all the way down into the family mountain. Now you've got family and you've got same-sex marriage being fought. What's up with that? Well, it's another one of these hellish blocking of truth here, bringing through the gate a belief system that whatever form of sexuality you're into is legitimately, constitutionally protected.

Well, while you're doing that, through the religious gate here you've got Islam invading the United States. So you've got your homosexual activity, your abortion activity here, Islam coming in, you've got a financial collapse - all of this, to those of us who are Christians, is an apocalyptic confirmation that when you remove God from public discourse, when you don't line up your thinking with kingdom principles, you inevitably hit an iceberg like the Titanic and you go down.

We want to be able to bring kingdom principles and values into every one of those spheres, realizing that the kingdom can move both in the overt proclamation of truth and in the covert instruction of principles."

Theocracy anyone???
( sounds like he's read the Book of Judas which contains a rather bizarre and unsettling Theology or he's read one too many science fiction novels -Portals ???

In the clip below from the Ed Schultz show we see that Tea Partier Sharron Engle share some of the beliefs of Lance Walnau . She if elected wants to target various institutions such as the public school system and wants to reduce the US federal government in size and in what its mandate or role should be. Like the Religious Right she is anti-UN which they believe interferes in America's affairs and is a tool of the Principalities (Satan's demonic evil forces)which is of course anti-America, Anti-Israel and of course anti-God that is the Christian God.

Papantonio: What a Tea Party America Will Look Like

golefttv | October 16, 2010

Sharron Angle had her first debate with Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid this week, and the Tea Party candidate told the Senator to "man up." In her mind, that must mean he should "man up" and dismantle the Department of Education, pull the US out of the UN, and allow corporations to privatize everything in America. That's the Tea Party's vision of America, and Mike Papantonio appears on Ed Schultz's MSNBC show to tell us what the Tea Party's America will look like.

and more news from the right wing trenches as some politicians such as Senator Brownback try to at least publicly that is during the campaign period to distance themselves from the more well known members of the Radical Religious Right such as Lance Wallnau, Lou Engle, Ron Luce, Gary Bauer, Rick Warrner et al.

"Brownback Finally Speaks, Claims He Worked With Engle On "Human Rights" Issues Submitted by Kyle at Rightwing Watch at People for the American Wayon October 13, 2010

The Kansas Democratic Party raised questions about ties between the Republican Party's nominee for governor and the minister with headquarters in Kansas City, Mo. Brownback has participated in religious rallies in Tennessee and elsewhere hosted by Engle, who says Christians may need to martyr themselves in the campaign against abortion and homosexuality.

Engle and Brownback were together as recently as December 2009 when they appeared on the Internet broadcast of a prayer service seeking God's intervention to block Senate passage of health reform.

...Engle is known for a lot of things, but his "substantive" concerns about Native Americans, African Americans, and human rights are not at the top of the list.

He may very well care deeply about such issues, but Engle is not drawing tens of thousands of prayer warriors to day-long fasting and prayer rallies aimed at apologizing to Native Americans - he mobilizes activists to fight abortion and gay marriage.

So let's ask Brownback again just which of Engle's views concern him the most: Is it his Dominionism? or his view that homosexuality should be criminalized? or his fear that President Obama is unleashing demons upon this nation? or that universities are conditioning students to accept the Mark of the Beast? or maybe that Satan has gained control over the US government?

"Lou Engle Supports The Criminalization of Homosexuality" Submitted by Kyle on June 21, 2010 -Right Wing Watch People for the American Way

Sarah Posner interviewed Lou Engle in an effort to try and understand's Engle's claims that he doesn't support Uganda's legislation that carries the death penalty for gays while supporting Uganda's effort to take a "principled stand" against the homosexual agenda.

And what she found out is that while Engle might not support the death penalty for gays, he certainly does support their criminialization:

[Engle] made absolutely clear that he supports the criminalization of homosexuality, believes there could be a biblical basis for a death penalty, that the United Nations has promoted the "homosexual agenda" to Uganda's detriment, and he lauded the bill's promoters' efforts to take a "principled stand" against that.

Loony Michelle Bachmann on reducing the size and mandate of the federal government of the USA to where it was circa 1776. Then again she also wants to set up a (citizens) committee to uncover any anti-Americans or Marxists and collaborators with America's enemies may be she will find their secret plans in a "Pumpkin Patch " like Nixon & Mccarthy .

Bachmann Wants to Reduce Fed Gov't To Its "Original Size" Submitted by Kyle on October 15, 2010

Despite the fact that she generally has no idea what she is talking about, Rep. Michele Bachmann is planning on holding weekly classes on the Constitution for new members in the next Congress.

I wonder if she'll teach these freshmen members of Congress what she told WorldNetDaily's Burt Prelutsky, which is that they should be trying to get the federal government back to its "original size":

Q. If, with a snap of your fingers, you could change anything about America, what would it be?

A. Reduce the federal government to its original size and constitutional limitations and to restore the 9th and 10th amendments.

Of course, the population of the United States back when the government was at its "original size" was just under 4 million - it is now over 310 million. For that matter, Congress only had 26 seats in the Senate and 69 seats in the House and met in New York City.

But, according to Bachmann, it would be a dream come true to see our government reduced to the size it was back when the country had only thirteen states.
