Obama Endorses Elitist Extremist Christian Cult " The Family" #OWS Charged with Maliciously Occupying A Sidewalk???...& Obama's War on Whistleblowers

For #OWS:

All we have, as Vaclav Havel writes, is our own powerlessness. And that powerlessness is our strength. The survival of the movement depends on embracing this powerlessness. It depends on two of our most important assets—utter and complete transparency and a rigid adherence to nonviolence, including respect for private property. This permits us, as Havel puts it in his 1978 essay “The Power of the Powerless,” to live in truth. And by living in truth we expose a corrupt corporate state that perpetrates lies and lives in deceit.

Obama Endorses Elitist Extremist Christian Cult "The Family"

The King David analogy -he might have been a murderer but he was amongst God's Chosen few.
Even a dictator who kills a hundred thousand of his own subjects is to be viewed as doing God's work to fend off the enemies of the Christian God ie commies, Socialists, Human Rights activists and organizations, Jihadists, Muslims, Buddhists, Hindus and so forth.
The Family supports the elites around the globe that is the 1% who supposedly know what's good for the 99%. So Obama has in effect joined the insiders club and is not on the side of the average citizen in America or elsewhere.

So it should come as no surprise that President Obama supports the elitist 1% whom he believes including himself are part of God's Chosen Few. If Obama believes this then it follows that he can do no wrong since all of his decision making is guided by God's invisible hand.

#OWS UPDATE: Attorney with NLG hearings for OO demonstrators some charged with Maliciously Occupying A Sidewalk???...

"What in the wild wild world of sports" is such a creature as "Maliciously Blocking a Sidewalk.
Sounds similar to some old Jim Crow law aimed at a specific group. If there isn't a law the courts and police will invent one or as they did in Toronto during the 2010 protest they enforced laws that hadn't been applied in over a hundred years ie no masks to be worn in public except during Halloween, Mardi Gra, or Guy Fawkes Day -a penny for the Guy??? .
And what does it look like when someone is " Not Maliciously Blocking a Sidewalk"
Can you occupy a sidewalk peacefully or gently .

So Occupy sidewalks everywhere.
What's next arresting people for Occupying their own neighborhoods or illegally ? Occupying their own backyards or balconies.

Man charged with "maliciously blocking a sidewalk." 2/6/12

Once again president Obama proves he is in favor of the status quo as he lays charges against Whistleblowers. President Obama is more concerned with intimidating would be government Whistleblowers than with the criminal or unethical behavior of government departments . So his concern over the Wikileaks/Bradley manning case is not with what was revealed about criminal acts committed and even encouraged by the US military such as murdering innocent civilians; the incarceration of innocent civilians or the torture of POWs/detainees and so on but rather with the leaking of such information to the public. So the massacres in Haditha, the Baghdad Massacre aka Collateral damage or the raping and murder of Iraqi civilians Obama sees simply in terms of public relations.

Trying to uncover the truth about US military's actions is not of a concern with Obama.
The real bad guys it appears is not the torturers or rapists or murderers but those Americans working in some capacity for the US government who leak information on wrongdoing to the public.
While the rest of us think Whistleblowers are heroic individuals who see wrongdoing and coverups who leak information to the media and puiblic because the government departments or the DOJ etc. are not doing their job.

Silent State: Washington’s Campaign Against Whistle-Blowers By Peter Van Buren, TomDispatch via Truthdig.com, feb. 9, 2012

On January 23rd, the Obama administration charged former CIA officer John Kiriakou under the Espionage Act for disclosing classified information to journalists about the waterboarding of al-Qaeda suspects. His is just the latest prosecution in an unprecedented assault on government whistleblowers and leakers of every sort.

Kiriakou’s plight will clearly be but one more battle in a broader war to ensure that government actions and sunshine policies don’t go together. By now, there can be little doubt that government retaliation against whistleblowers is not an isolated event, nor even an agency-by-agency practice. The number of cases in play suggests an organized strategy to deprive Americans of knowledge of the more disreputable things that their government does. How it plays out in court and elsewhere will significantly affect our democracy.

Punish the Whistleblowers

The Obama administration has already charged more people—six—under the Espionage Act for alleged mishandling of classified information than all past presidencies combined. (Prior to Obama, there were only three such cases in American history.)

Kiriakou, in particular, is accused of giving information about the CIA’s torture programs to reporters two years ago. Like the other five whistleblowers, he has been charged under the draconian World War I-era Espionage Act.
That Act has a sordid history, having once been used against the government’s political opponents. Targets included labor leaders and radicals like Eugene V. Debs, Bill Haywood, Philip Randolph, Victor Berger, John Reed, Max Eastman, and Emma Goldman. Debs, a union leader and socialist candidate for the presidency, was, in fact, sentenced to 10 years in jail for a speech attacking the Espionage Act itself. The Nixon administration infamously (and unsuccessfully) invoked the Act to bar the New York Times from continuing to publish the classified Pentagon Papers.

Yet, extreme as use of the Espionage Act against government insiders and whistleblowers may be, it’s only one part of the Obama administration’s attempt to sideline, if not always put away, those it wants to silence. Increasingly, federal agencies or departments intent on punishing a whistleblower are also resorting to extra-legal means. They are, for instance, manipulating personnel rules that cannot be easily challenged and do not require the production of evidence. And sometimes, they are moving beyond traditional notions of “punishment” and simply seeking to destroy the lives of those who dissent.

So the US military's coverup of various murders, rapes and Massacres is not what concerns Obama but what concerns him is those who leak such information to the press and the public.
This helps to explain why Obama was never serious about committing himself and his administration to a thorough and substantive investigation into the criminal activity and war crimes committed by the Bush Regime.
What is odd is that the deluded Obama supporters no matter what the evidence they insist Obama is a man of integrity who really wants government transparency . Obama has not stopped the torturing of POWs rather he did as Bush did that is invent more euphemisms and Doublespeak to allow such practices to continue. Obama does not take responsibility for the deaths of tens of thousands of people in his campaign against Libya's Qaddafi . Some place the death toll in Libya by NATO forces at 100,000 or more.

WikiLeaks cable: U.S. troops handcuffed, shot Iraqi children in raid by David Ferguson, TheRawStory.com,Sept. 1, 2011

According to a diplomatic cable published by WikiLeaks, U.S. troops massacred an Iraqi family in the town of Ishaqi in 2006, handcuffing and then shooting 11 people in the head including a woman in her 70′s and five children ages five and under.

McClatchy is reporting that the soldiers then called in an air strike on the house to cover up evidence of the killings.

This account differs sharply from an official version of the 2006 incident, which indicated that coalition forces captured an al Qaeda in Iraq operative in the house, which was destroyed in a firefight. The WikiLeaks cable, however, corroborates accounts by Ishaqi townspeople and includes questions about the incident by Philip Alston, the U.N.’s special rapporteur on extrajudicial, summary or arbitrary executions.
