From letter by Christian Evangelist  Cindy Jacobs calling for urgent Prayers to stop the Islamic extremists in Egypt.

and bogus letter??? from a pro-Mubarak Egyptian or a Mubarak agent or just an imaginary character to appeal to Americans :

THIS IS A BIG ORGANIZED COUP TO TRY TO CONVINCE THE WORLD THROUGH THE MEDIA THAT EGYPT WANTS MUBARAK TO GO, AND THE MEDIA IS PART OF THE DECEPTION.

People in Tahrir square areescalating the situation on purpose to topple President Mubarak FOR THEIR OWN HIDDEN AGENDAS. This is TYPICAL OF THE MUSLIM BROTHERS, AND EVERYBODY IN THE STREETS OF CAIRO KNOWS THIS. We heard people on the streets saying
that the plot to take over the country is now clear. THE INTERNATIONAL MEDIA DON'T
WANT YOU TO KNOW THIS.

The escalation of violence in Tahrir square is because of this. Egyptians who love Egypt, the millions that took to the streets yesterday, want this to end. They fully understand that president Mubarak is between a rock and a hard place, that he cannot quench the unrest in Tahrir through the army, so the people want to go to Tahrir to disperse the crowds there by themselves. People in Tahrir are vastly outnumbered. If Egyptians go the Tahrir square to take control of the situation, more chaos will erupt, giving a chance to the international media to blame the President even more.

American Uberconservative Christian Evangelicals are on the side of Mubarak in Egypt and are promulgating the conspiracy theory that the uprising represents radical Islamist who are the invisible hand behind the demonstrations.
Their beliefs about the situation and explanation sounds like the Jewish Conspiracy theories of the anti-Semites but in this instance replace Jews with Muslims who are characterized as cunning and deceitful and working in league with the Anti-Christ or the great Satan.
These forces are at work to destroy Christianity and eventually Western Civilization and more to the point in their view Christian America.

In a bit of hypocrisy Hillary Clinton speaks out criticizing Mubarak Regime 's attacks on the free press. And yet she does not apologize to Aljazeera and allow its broadcast in the United States.
We should also remember the murder in Baghdad of Reuters journalists in the so-called Baghdad Massacre which we have proof of because of Wikileaks. Wikileaks is according to the Obama administration more dangerous to America's interests than AlQaeda or the Taliban. So much for a free press and freedom of information.
Hillary Clinton & Obama had no problem with the Honduran Military Junta shutting down the Free Press.
We should also remember that the USA insisted journalists be embedded with their troops in their invasion and occupations of Iraq and Afghanistan.
And the USA in an astounding decision argued that the US forces have no obligation to not harm or to protect journalists from being harmed who were not embedded.
The embedded journalists in agreeing to be embedded also agreed to only report what the military gave the green light to.
So in act and deed the US has been more often than not against a free press which might criticize the United States or its Military or its allies no matter how repressive these regimes might Be.
Those who were not embedded were told that they were legitimate targets by US forces . Independent journalists were characterized by the US government and most of the US media of being anti-American and pro-insurgent, pro-AlQaeda etc.
And we also have seen a curtailing of the free press and media after the massive BP oil spill in the Gulf area in the past year.

DemocracyNow! Widespread attacks on journalist and the press by the Mubarak regime and its supporters. Feb. 4, 2011.

We must also remember that the USA was the main supporter of the brutal authoritarian Mubarak Regime .
We also don't hear the US condemning the brutal authoritarian Regime in Saudi Arabia.
The US has no problem with a regime which is friendly to America being anti-democracy, anti-human rights etc.

DemocracyNow! January 27, 2011.

Mubarak and America both hate Aljazeera and have banned Aljazeera and both have targeted journalists and anyone connected to Aljazeera. In Iraq and Afghanistan American military forces have attacked Aljazeera. For example in Baghdad firing into a hotel at which journalists from around the world were staying but the floor on which Aljazeera was occupying was hit deliberately by the US military and again they attacked Aljazeera in Afghanistan.

Hosni Mubarak and America's Corporate Cable Companies Have Something in Common: Banning Al Jazeera From Rootsaction.org

What do Hosni Mubarak and the major United States cable companies have in common?

They have banned Al Jazeera.

That's a shame, because Al Jazeera has great "on the ground" coverage and literally speaks the language of the tumultuous happenings in the Middle East. But in 99 percent or so of America, the only place you can follow Al Jazeera's English channel is on a live feed on the Internet.

According to The New York Times, "cable and satellite companies in the United States have largely refused its requests to be carried."

As you can read in a 2004 BuzzFlash interview with the director of "Control Room," the riveting documentary on the network, Al Jazeera is a Western-style news operation. It is owned by the oil-rich and pro-US Qatar government.

Reporting with the kind of vigor you expect from serious journalism, Al Jazeera takes on all comers. During the invasion of Iraq, the US bombed the Al Jazeera Baghdad bureau from the air and killed a staff member. Currently, the Palestinian Authority claims that Al Jazeera reported on an embarrassing story in collusion with Israel.

Al Jazeera must be doing something right. It is a station that manages to tick off a lot of governments and movements, as well as corporate broadcasting in America.

Anyway the American response to the revolution taking place in Egypt is far from being supportive of those Egyptians who want their rights and freedoms respected and who want a real democracy.
The right wing including the Tea Party Republicans and their media echo chamber along with the Religious Right are more in favor of Mubarak and his supporters who are at odds with the majority of the Egyptian people.
Their fear is that Egypt might move more to the left and cancel any sweet deals America has with Egypt .
They fear losing Egypt as a client state which adheres to American foreign policy and does not do anything without prior approval of the United States and America's other client state Israel .
What they also claim to fear is Egypt becoming a theocratic Islamic state run by the Muslim Brotherhood.
So America is once again proving that it is against rights and freedoms and democracy if it means a transition to a government which may no longer be dependent on the United States or Israel.

So the uberconservatives in the United States keep stoking the conspiracy theory that the people of Egypt are being manipulated by the invisible hand of Islamic extremists.
The Americans in general are among the few countries who have taken Mubarak and his supporters rhetoric and conspiracy theories seriously.

Anyway I received in my email a call to prayer by American Evangelicals to pray for President Mubarak and pray the Egyptian people come to their senses and then ask Mubarak for forgiveness for their actions.
These Christian Born again Uberconservative Evangelicals tend to gloss over the poor human rights record of Egypt and as Americans for instance they believe Mubarak was justified to imprison abuse and torture thousands of Egyptians over the last 30 years.

So here's the bizarre prayer ALERT from Evangelical preacher Cindy Jacobs:

Dear Intercessors,

We have been following the events carefully as they unfold in Egypt and across the
Middle East. As usual, things aren't always as they seem in political circumstances.

Below you'll find an email that I've received from ground eye-witness of the events
in Egypt, as well as a prayer alert from our good friend Rick Ridings in Jerusalem.

This is a grave situation. Leaders from Egypt have been calling and beseeching
us for intercession for their nation. From their perspective, the Christians are
in grave danger if Mubarak leaves, as they feel he has kept the radical extremists
at bay.

Here are some prayer points:

Egypt Ground Eye-Witness Account

Dear Friends,

Egypt is finding its way towards more freedom, but please don't believe what the
international media is saying!

There is a plot to topple the president, and Egyptians do not want that. I have
been on the streets with many hundreds of thousands, probably even millions, who
want stability, dialogue, and change with Mubarak until the elections in September.
There are forces taking advantage of the situation and twisting facts and figures
to portray to the international community a distorted image to topple the government.

The vast majority of people in the streets in peaceful demonstrations (I

speak as an eyewitness because I took to the streets myself) are carrying

banners saying things like:

- yes to stability, yes to Mubarak

- give change a chance

- we are sorry Mr. president

- we accept dialogue, we trust you

- no to El-Baradei, no to the muslim brotherhood (many like this one)

- we are the Egyptians, where is Al-Jazeera, let them come and see

- no to corruption, no to vandalism

- we got what we asked the president for, so why are people still in Tahrir?

Who are they? What do they want?

etc., etc., etc.

We met with people who were in the original protest in Tahrir square who

decided to join us saying: we got what we asked for, and now we accept

Mubarak's changes and proposals.

I left the street with my wife around 4:15 pm, and the numbers in the

neighbourhood of Mohandessin where were gathered had swelled to easily over a million.
As we drove home we saw the same slogans on banners all over the city, on cars,
on walls, on shop windows. We learned that similar demonstrations are taking place
ALL OVER THE COUNTRY, IN MANY DIFFERENT CITIES. THIS IS THE CRY OF THE PEOPLE OF
EGYPT THAT IS BEING TOTALLY IGNORED BY THE INTERNATIONAL NEWS MEDIA. Is this on
purpose??!!! I am perplexed!!!

I am wondering: How come CNN, the BBC, and others are reporting ONLY the anti-government protests as the voice of the people? This is not JUSTICE, this is not the TRUTH.
There have been reports that these people are being paid by the government. NOT
TRUE! I was there with many, many others. I SAW THE STREETS.

Now to the situation in Tahrir square. Only a few people (hundreds?) are

still there from the original protesters. They have been slowly replaced by

other HIGHLY ORGANIZED GROUPS. They all have the same model of cell phones. They
all have the same blankets (eye witnesses). THESE ARE NOT THE PEOPLE OF EGYPT.

Some witnesses claim that they don't look Egyptians, and don't sound

Egyptians (different accent, different dialect). THIS IS A BIG ORGANIZED

COUP TO TRY TO CONVINCE THE WORLD THROUGH THE MEDIA THAT EGYPT WANTS MUBARAK TO
GO, AND THE MEDIA IS PART OF THE DECEPTION.

People in Tahrir square areescalating the situation on purpose to topple President
Mubarak FOR THEIR OWN HIDDEN AGENDAS. This is TYPICAL OF THE MUSLIM BROTHERS, AND
EVERYBODY IN THE STREETS OF CAIRO KNOWS THIS. We heard people on the streets saying
that the plot to take over the country is now clear. THE INTERNATIONAL MEDIA DON'T

to disperse the crowds there by themselves. People in Tahrir are vastly outnumbered.
If Egyptians go the Tahrir square to take control of the situation, more chaos
will erupt, giving a chance to the international media to blame the President even
more.

Don't believe an opportunist like Mohammed El-Baradei who is deceiving the international
community into putting pressure on president Mubarak to leave immediately so they
can fulfill their own agendas. Franklin Roosevelt said, "Nothing happens by accident
in politics. If it happened, somebody made it happen." And this is NOT what Egyptians
want! I am an Egyptian. My wife and I were on the streets on Tuesday and Wednesday
in support of the current regime, and we saw millions on the streets. If Egypt falls,
then neighbouring countries are going to fall one after the other. Someone is behind
this!

Please help us uncover the deception and spread the truth. Please share

with everybody.

Best regards,

and so it goes,
GORD.
