VIDEO:Lady Gaga DADT,Jewish Groups Favor Park51 & Against Desecration Muslim Cemetery In Jerusalem & Tony Blair Still Lying & US Troops "Terrorists"

UPDATE with Video of Lady Gaga Speech at DADT Rally 3:12 Sept. 21.

"Blair has never publicly acknowledged that Saddam was actually an enemy of radical Islam: admitting that would drain the last dram of logic from his justification for invading Iraq. So he only talks in general terms about fighting “radical Islam” and hopes that the more ignorant part of the public will think that includes the Iraq war."

“I’m just going to take a minute to tell you a new definition of a Yiddish word called ‘chutzpah.’ … It refers to brazen nerve,” said Richard Levy, a lawyer working with the Center for Constitutional Rights on a petition filed with several international bodies to halt the construction of the museum in Jerusalem. “This cemetery, which stands in West Jerusalem for a thousand years, is now subject to the bulldozer of this organization. So that’s the meaning of the word chutzpah: to say you stand for tolerance, and perform that kind of an act, is the most despicable kind of hypocrisy.”

Lady Gaga To Rally In Maine To Pressure Senators Snowe, Collins On 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell Repeal' at Huffington Post , Sept. 19, 2010

PORTLAND, Maine — Organizers say Lady Gaga is visiting Maine's largest city to join a rally against the military's "don't ask, don't tell" policy on gays.

The singer is expected to join a Servicemembers Legal Defense Network event near the University of Southern Maine's Portland campus Monday. Network spokesman Trevor Thomas says she'll stand alongside veterans discharged because of the policy, which forbids military recruiters from asking about people's sexual orientations and prohibits service members from revealing if they're gay.

The organization is trying to pressure Republican Sens. Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins of Maine to vote to allow a repeal of the policy. Collins previously voted for a provision to repeal.

Jewish Groups Denounce ‘Museum of Tolerance’Builder Simon Wiesenthal Center for Support of Islamophobia By Alex Kane at The Independent September 19, 2010

-- A coalition of four Jewish groups, backed by a wide array of peace and justice organizations, held a demonstration Sept. 16 outside the Simon Wiesenthal Center’s Museum of Tolerance in New York, denouncing the organization’s opposition to the Islamic community center in lower Manhattan.

Organized by Jews Say No!, American Jews for a Just Peace, Jewish Voice for Peace and Jews for Racial and Economic Justice, about 100 demonstrators walked in front of the museum on East 42nd Street in midtown Manhattan, chanting “Islamophobia isn’t pretty, it has no place in New York City” and “Islamophobia is a shame, New Yorkers say not in our name.”

“If you’re going to put tolerance in your name, you got to put it in your game, and the Museum of Tolerance has not done that,” Jon Moscow, an activist with Jews for Racial and Economic Justice, told members of the press. “Statements that its leaders have been making have been feeding this frenzy of Islamophobia and anti-Arab racism.”

As the Cordoba House controversy, manufactured and fueled by far-right blogs and the right-wing press, heated up, Rabbi Marvin Hier, the dean and founder of the Simon Wiesenthal Center, appeared on Fox News in early August and criticized the proposed Muslim community center.

Demonstrators also harshly criticized the center’s decision to build a Jerusalem branch of the Museum of Tolerance on top of a centuries-old Muslim cemetery, known as the Mamilla cemetery. They said that the center’s project, which has resulted in the “disinterment of hundreds of graves,” according to the Center for Constitutional Rights, is another example of the center disregarding the rights of Muslims.

As Glenn Greenwald notes even some liberals and progressives get upset by characterizing US and NATO troops as "killers and Terrorists" who wantonly murdered Iraqi and Afghan civilians sometimes just for the the thrill of the kill. Other especially Evangelical Christian troops justified their killing of as many Iraqis as possible because these Iraqis were mostly Muslims and Islam they were told is anti-Christian, anti-Jesus anti-American and on the side of the Anti-Christ or the Devil. Therefore they erroneously believed that they were or are involved in a Holy War or a modern Crusade to cleanse the earth of the Infidels the non-believers.

Where did they get these erroneous and dangerous ideas? Well this is what Rumsfeld and the Pentagon and the top brass and the partisan Evangelical born again dominated Chaplaincy and much of the US Media especially Fox News & Talk Radio erroneously told these troops . They were also erroneously told over and over again that Saddam and his Muslim citizens were involved in the 9/11 attack . But the Iraq War was a War Crime because it was not justified neither America or Britain or Israel were in imminent danger from being attacked by Iraq which had become an impoverished failing state.

If Bush and the gang wanted to go after the country which had a more direct connection to Al Qaeda they should have attacked Saudi Arabia but that country is too valuable to American and British interest.

The "obscenity" of comparing Americans to "killers and terrorists" by Glenn greenwald at Salon.com Sept. 18, 2010

As Gwynne Dyer points out former Prime Minister Tony Blair is still sticking to his story and lies and propaganda about the justification for invading Iraq. But how could he do otherwise since the whole thing was not justified and was botched in every imaginable way possible -unfortunately he like his Born Again Christian mentor and partner in crime Former President George W. Bush will never have to answer for his War Crimes and Crimes Against Humanity. Too Big to prosecute. If only they felt some guilt for the million dead Iraqis and the thousands they abused and tortured proving they were no better than the terrorists and insurgents they fought.

Tony Blair and the great Islamic threat by Gwynne Dyer at World Bulletin Sept. 14, 2010

People often wind up believing their own cover story. Former British prime minister Tony Blair, for example, is trapped forever in the rationalizations he used in 2003 to explain why he was going along with George Bush’s invasion of Iraq. He was at it again last week, telling the BBC that “radical Islam” is the greatest threat facing the world today.

The BBC journalist went to Ireland for the interview because Blair chose Dublin for the only live signing of his newly published autobiography: a personal appearance in Britain wouldn’t be safe. Even in Ireland, the protesters threw eggs and shoes at the man who was Bush’s faithful sidekick in the struggle to save western civilization from radical Islam.

But is militant Islam really a bigger threat to the world than the possibility of a major nuclear war (happily, now in abeyance, but never really gone)? Bigger than the risk that infectious diseases are going to make a major comeback as antibiotics become ineffective? Bigger even than the threat of runaway global warming?

Blair has to say it is, because he was one of the people who launched a crusade against radical Islamists after 9/11. Or at least against those whom they accused of being supporters of radical Islam, although many of them (like Saddam Hussein) were nothing of the sort.

Blair has never publicly acknowledged that Saddam was actually an enemy of radical Islam: admitting that would drain the last dram of logic from his justification for invading Iraq. So he only talks in general terms about fighting “radical Islam” and hopes that the more ignorant part of the public will think that includes the Iraq war.

Never mind. It’s far too late for Blair to change his story, and the argument about Iraq has gone stale by now anyway. Except for one thing: many influential people in western countries still insist that “radical Islam” is, indeed, the world’s greatest threat. Some do it for career reasons, and others do it from conviction, but they all get a more respectful hearing than they deserve.

...Terrorism, by radical Islamists or anybody else, is a real threat but a modest one. It cannot be “defeated”, but it can be contained by good police work and wise policy choices. It might make it into the top 10 global threats, but it certainly wouldn’t make it into the top three. Anybody who says it does has something to sell or something to hide.

and so it goes,
GORD.
