John Tanton Another Agitator Puppeteer & Peter Brimelow of VDARE : Republican Party Not White Enough ???

UPDATE: 1:03 PM & 2:26PM Oct. 31, 2009

John Tanton founder of Hate Group Federation For American Immigration Reform: FAIR

Over the decades, Tanton has repeatedly described contemporary immigrants as inferior. He has questioned the “educability” of Latinos and written that “for European-American society and culture to persist requires a European-American majority, and a clear one at that.” In a letter to Roy Beck, head of NumbersUSA, Tanton wondered “whether the minorities who are going to inherit California … can run an advanced society?”

It doesn’t stop there. Tanton has corresponded with Holocaust deniers, former Klan lawyers and the leading white nationalist thinkers of the era. He introduced key FAIR leaders to the president of the Pioneer Fund, a white supremacist group set up to encourage “race betterment,” at a 1997 meeting at a private club. He wrote a major funder to encourage her to read the work of a radical anti-Semitic professor — to “give you a new understanding of the Jewish outlook on life” — and suggested that the entire FAIR board discuss the professor’s theories on the Jews. He idolized a principal architect of the Immigration Act of 1924 (instituting a national origin quota system that dramatically favored whites over people of color and barred Asian immigration), a rabid anti-Semite whose pro-Nazi American Coalition of Patriotic Societies was indicted for sedition in 1942.

Based on an investigation of Tanton’s views and those of his organization, the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) began listing FAIR as a hate group in 2007. Stein’s defense of Tanton shows one more reason they deserve the label.

And here's a neat trick arguing that first the illegal-immigrants crossing the US Mexican border are having a negative impact on the environment the natural ecological system and secondly by building the fence to stop these illegals revives the ecological system.

And so let the madness continue :

Roger Ailes at Fox news as we saw in the last post uses Fox News as a propaganda machine which attacks and smears the Obama administration day and day out while telling the American people that this government is in some way illegitimate and has a radical agenda which is UnAmerican which it intends to push through no matter what. There are also those such as Tom Tancredo & Lou Dobbs, Glenn Beck etc. who act as spokespersons for the "Conservative Movement" who preach gloom and doom and the end of America as its citizens know it all being brought about by these fanatics who are now running the country.Everything the administration does is placed under the microscope to try to discern their nefarious plans and agenda.

So Glenn Beck and others shout and scream or cry and speak softly in an act of attempting self-control to speak to Americans as if one on one that the country as they know it is being destroyed. That America's enemies are not just outside the gates as it were but are also inside determined as a fifth column to destroy America. Part of what we need to examine is how these more radical ideas and conspiracy theories have been brought into the public arena as if they were legitimate.

Many of these right wing groups such as the Pro-Life Movement started out as single-issue campaigns but as the various groups on the right became more entangled through fund raising and overlapping directorships and boards each group then took on the agenda in part or in full of these other groups. Eventually these issues and causes became part of a list used as a litmus test of loyalty and of characterizing each member as a "True Believer'. So the pro-life movement adopts principles which deny the separation of church and state and goes on to be against the use of the Supreme Court as legislator and so adheres to a rigid literal view of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights and the intentions of the founding fathers.

The other part of this process is that individual members directed or manipulated by their leaders begin to see as Francis Schaeffer preached the whole picture so that they came to realize that the abortion issue and other issues such as the false notion of the separation of church and state and issues such as prayer and bible studies and the teaching of evolution in the schools and learning basic Christian American values and so many others were interconnected. All of these issues had arisen because the "Secular Humanists" "the Liberals " and the Feminists and Homosexuals had steered America away from its founding principles which were in their view based upon the Bible and a belief in God and Jesus. So A cross fertilization and an ongoing morphing of the various organizations has been taking place over the last twenty years or so.

John Tanton is another major player in the "conservative Movement" who's main concern has been population control and related issues such as immigration, race and Eugenics. He can be characterized as being a Nativist, a racist, xenophobic who believes that Western Civilization hangs in the balance and is at a point of crisis. The crisis he defines as being caused by accepting far too many immigrants who are not part of Western Civilization or who are unable to appreciate, understand and adapt successfully to the superior values of Western Civilization.

To spread his own beliefs about race and eugenics he has formed various organizations to put pressure on governments and to spread his radical ideas to the public . He uses various techniques to make what are really racist ideas and policies seem more palatable and acceptable and to give them an air of rationality and reason backed by evidence and studies which appear to be grounded in sound arguments based upon the various academic disciplines and social sciences as well as biology and genetics etc.

But the studies he relies on or which he commissions are often dubious and lacking in scientific integrity and rigor. This is bound to be the case because like others who begin with an already acquired set of beliefs to which one holds to rigidly then in such cases any evidence which appears to invalidate those beliefs are just plain wrong or are not trust worthy or flawed in some way or must be reinterpreted to make them fit with ones own predisposed beliefs and prejudices. This is true of almost any "true Believer" who rejects all evidence and experiences which goes against their basic beliefs . The "true Believer " desires certainty and believes they have already found it and believe that any new trustworthy data or experience merely adds to that certainty.

The Tanton Files Nativist Leader's Racist Past Exposed By Heidi Beirich Intelligence Report Winter 2008 Southern Poverty Law Center Intelligence Report 2008

The papers, which include more than 20 years of letters from the founder of the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) and a batch of other nativist groups, contain explosive material about Tanton's beliefs. They also show that FAIR, on whose board of directors Tanton still sits, has been well aware of Tanton's views and activities for years.

...Although Tanton has been linked to racist ideas in the past — fretting about the "educability" of Latinos, warning of whites being out-bred by others, and publishing a number of white nationalist authors — the papers in the Bentley Library show that Tanton has for decades been at the heart of the white nationalist scene. He has corresponded with Holocaust deniers, former Klan lawyers and the leading white nationalist thinkers of the era. He introduced key FAIR leaders to the president of the Pioneer Fund, a white supremacist group set up to encourage "race betterment," at a 1997 meeting at a private club. He wrote a major funder to encourage her to read the work of a radical anti-Semitic professor — to "give you a new understanding of the Jewish outlook on life" — and suggested that the entire FAIR board discuss the professor's theories on the Jews. He practically worshipped a principal architect of the Immigration Act of 1924 (instituting a national origin quota system and barring Asian immigration), a rabid anti-Semite whose pro-Nazi American Coalition of Patriotic Societies was indicted for sedition in 1942.

As early as 1969, Tanton showed a sharp interest in eugenics, the "science" of breeding a better human race that was utterly discredited by the Nazis, trying to find out if Michigan had laws allowing forced sterilization. His interest stemmed, he wrote in a letter of inquiry that year, from "a local pair of sisters who have nine illegitimate children between them." Some 30 years later, he was still worrying about "less intelligent" people being allowed children, saying that "modern medicine and social programs are eroding the human gene pool."

Throughout, FAIR — which, along with Tanton, refused repeated requests for comment for this story — has stood by its man. Its 2004 annual report praised him for "visionary qualities that have not waned one bit." Around the same time, Dan Stein, who has led FAIR since 1988 as executive director or president and who was copied on scores of Tanton's letters, insisted FAIR's founder had "never asserted the inferiority or superiority of any racial, ethnic, or religious group. Never."
...Tanton on 'the Jews'

In some ways, given his ideas, it's not surprising that John Tanton would cozy up to white nationalists and their fellow travelers. What is unexpected, even among long-time observers of the FAIR founder, is his attitude toward "the Jews."
In the late 1990s, Kevin MacDonald, a California State University, Long Beach, professor, was finishing up a trilogy of books that purported to show that Jews collectively work to undermine the dominant majorities in the host countries in which they live, including the United States.

MacDonald said that Jews pursue these tactics — including promoting non-white immigration into white-dominated nations — in order to weaken the majority culture in a bid to enhance their own standing. He would later go on to speak and write for white nationalist groups across America.

Tanton liked what he read.

On Dec. 28, 1998 — the same year that the last two books of MacDonald's trilogy were published — he wrote MacDonald, saying, "I hope we can meet some day." On that same date, Tanton sent a memo to Dan Stein and the FAIR board of directors about a MacDonald paper "on the segment of the Jewish community that has an open borders mentality." The paper, Tanton said, "would be fertile for group discussion at the forthcoming board meeting."

Earlier that month, on Dec. 10, 1998, Tanton also sent MacDonald's work to Cordelia May Scaife, a now-deceased millionaire philanthropist who gave regularly to far-right causes and was a close Tanton friend. "I'm sure [MacDonald's article] will give you a new understanding of the Jewish outlook on life, which explains a large part of the Jewish opposition to immigration reform," he wrote.

Eugenics:

...After starting his own eugenicist group, the Society for Genetic Education in 1996, he wrote to Graham, the California eugenicist, to discuss public relations strategies. In a Sept. 18, 1996, letter, Tanton explained how his new group's website "emphasized mankind's use of eugenic principles on plants and the lower animals as a way to condition the public to the idea of genetic manipulation, and raise the question of its application to the human race." Elaborating, he added: "We report ways [eugenics] is currently being done, but under the term genetics rather than eugenics."

Profile of Social Contract press at Rightweb:
Overview

Social Contract Press, founded in 1990 by John Tanton, is "an educational and publishing organization advocating open discussion of such related issues as population size and rate of growth, protection of the environment and precious resources, limits on immigration, as well as preservation and promotion of a shared American language and culture." (1) Immigration issues are the main topic of the publishing house's books and reports. Among the books and reports published by the press are: Common Sense on Mass Immigration edited by John Tanton; The Camp of the Saints by Jean Raspail; Americans No More by Georgie Anne Geyer; Immigration Dilemma by Garrett Hardin; and The Immigration Invasion by Wayne Lutton and John Tanton.

"Immigrant numbers and immigration policies rank high in the activities and concerns of The Social Contract enterprises," according to the organization's website. "We favor immigration, but at much lower, more traditional levels. We are in favor of fewer admissions in order to reduce the rate of America's population growth, protect jobs, preserve the environment, and foster assimilation." (1)
The Social Contract Press publishes the Social Contract quarterly journal. Tanton, who serves as publisher, was the leading editor of the press for its first eight years. Current editor is Wayne Lutton, who also writes for the paleoconservative journal Chronicles and the National Review. Roy Beck, founder of NumbersUSA, has served as the Washington editor of the journal, and has written articles for the journal. Social Contract Press promotes books, reports, and charts written by Beck, Garrett Hardin, Rosalie Pedalino Porter (editor of the Center for Equal Opportunity's READ Perspectives), and other restrictionist authors.

Origins and Impact

The Social Contract Press is one of a more than a dozen anti-immigrant, population-control, and "official English" organizations closely associated by John Tanton, who is widely regarded by detractors and supporters alike as the founder of the modern anti-immigrant movement in the United States. Among the groups that Tanton has founded or has otherwise played a major role in guiding are Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR), ProEnglish, NumbersUSA, and Center for Immigration Studies.

Tanton, whose concern with immigration flows arose out of his early activism in the 1960s and 1970s in environmental and population control issues, cofounded FAIR in 1979 after having left Zero Population Growth in 1978. The Social Contract Press (and its website) functions as Tanton's personal base for his anti-immigration advocacy. For example, a section of the Social Contract's website is devoted to Tanton's responses to his critics. (2)

Social Contract Press is best known for its promotion of the 1973 novel The Camp of the Saints, which was a major influence on Tanton's thinking about immigration, culture, national sovereignty, and population control. After founding Social Contract Press, Tanton reprinted the book, which according to the publishing house "has been described as the 1984 of the late twentieth century.a gripping novel, which envisions the overrunning of European civilization by burgeoning Third World populations." In its critique of Tanton and Social Contract Press, the Southern Poverty Law Center wrote: The Camp of the Saints is "a lurid, racist novel by Frenchman Jean Raspail that depicts an invasion of the white, Western world by a fleet of starving, dark-skinned refugees."

Among the organizations listed by Social Contract Press in its related links page are FAIR, ProEnglish, Center for Immigration Studies, Rescue American Jobs Foundation, Colorado Alliance for Immigration Reform, Voices of Citizens Together, ProjectUSA, Secured Borders USA, Sierrans for U.S. Population Stabilization, American Renaissance, Midwest Coalition to Reduce Immigration, and Californians for Population Stabilization.

Tanton also recommends VDARE and NumbersUSA. Among the organizations and individuals that Tanton regards as principals in the lobby for mass immigration are the following: National Immigration Forum, National Lawyers Guild, National Council of La Raza, Cato Institute, Mexican-American Legal Defense and Education Fund (MALDEF), Rick Swartz, Frank Sharry, Raul Yzaguerre, and Stephen Moore.

and from NumbersUSA:

What NumbersUSA Is All About What's the Problem?

The 1990s saw the biggest population boom in U.S. history. This is truly astounding news coming three decades after widespread agreement among Americans that the country was mature and probably already overpopulated. No wonder Americans became increasingly alarmed at their deteriorating quality of life due to sprawl, congestion, overcrowded schools, lost open spaces and increasing restrictions on their individual liberty caused by the new population explosion!

Who's Responsible?

This population boom was almost entirely engineered by federal forced-growth policies that are still in place. The Census Bureau states that Americans will suffer this kind of rapid congestion every decade into the future unless Congress changes these policies.
Using environmental concerns to justify more aggressive means of keeping illegal-immigrants from crossing US Mexican border. The building of the fence has been a boon for the ecology of the area.

Pro English is actually a Nativist group which is anti-immigration or immigration only by English speaking people. Their main purpose is not they claim racist but rather to ensure the survival of the English language in America as the official language. But as one reads their arguments and nasty screeds their true purposes and attitudes and prejudices come through showing their darker side.

and some facts about ProEnglish.org :

ProEnglish last updated: August 30, 2004 at Right Web

Founded in 1994 by former members of U.S. English (the national advocacy group founded in 1983 that spearheaded the "English-only" movement), ProEnglish says that it "is a member-supported, national, nonprofit organization working to educate the public about the need to protect English as our common language and to make it the official language of the United States." ProEnglish specializes "in providing pro-bono legal assistance to public and private agencies facing litigation or regulatory actions over language."

The members of ProEnglish's board of directors are: Bob Park (chairman), Gerda Bikales, Leo Sorenson, and John Tanton. In 1988 Park founded Arizonans for Official English, the leading state organization that organized a successful initiative to make English the official language of Arizona, a measure that was later overturned.

Before becoming a citizen activist in the issues of language and immigration
restrictionism, Park had a 30-year career with the Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS). Bikales was the founding executive director and a board member of U.S. English. Before coming to U.S. English, she was on the staff of the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR), another organization founded by John Tanton and funded in part through U.S. Inc, a nonprofit funding channel he established.

Sorensen, another longtime restrictionist, was a leading proponent of Proposition 63 in California, which made English the official state language by constitutional amendment. He is the cofounder of E Pluribus Unum, an organization committed to forging "national unity." John Tanton is the founder of a network of language and immigration restrictionist organizations, and the owner of Social Contract Press. K.C. McAlpin is the organization's executive director and media spokesperson.
ProEnglish's board of advisers includes the following members: Gerda Bikales (chair), Gwat Battacharjie, Daniel Benvenuti, Dinesh Desai, Robert Hannay, Phil Kent, Lupe Moreno, Dr. Rosalie Porter, John M. Templeton, Jr., and Jess Valdez. ProEnglish publishes The ProEnglish Advocate, a quarterly newsletter.

Founded in 1994 under the name English Language Advocates, ProEnglish's first project was to defend an official English initiative passed by the voters of Arizona, after the State of Arizona refused to appeal a decision overturning the initiative in federal court. (1) At least two of its principals-John Tanton and Gerda Bikales-are longtime activists in both language restriction and immigration restriction movements and organizations. Both also were members of informal think tank called WITAN (from the Old English term witenagemot, or council of wise men to advise the king) that attempted to set out a common agenda for the anti-immigration, official English, national unity, and population-control movements.

When the Arizona Republic published a 1986 WITAN memo shortly before the 1988 general elections, the memo's anti-Latino, white supremacist, and anti-Catholic language lent credence to the charges that the official English and immigration restrictionist movements were led by bigots.

Following the release of the memo, Tanton and Bikales left U.S. English along with its executive director Linda Chavez. Other members included staff, directors, and associates of FAIR and other organizations that were then or would later become part of Tanton's network of anti-immigrant, population control, and English only organizations, such as Social Contract Press and Richard Lamm's 21st Century Fund. Another member was prominent ecologist Garrett Hardin, author of the influential "The Tragedy of the Commons" essay. Hardin has argued that immigration flows tax the "carrying capacity" of receiving societies. Hardin has argued for the construction of a 2,000-mile electronic fence along the U.S.-Mexico border.

Roger Ailes of Fox News As "The Puppeteer" & Today's "Agitator" Nativist Racist "Drummer" Tom Tancredo

Update: 1:20 PM Oct. 30, 2009

The Drummer

"It was not out of modesty that I wanted to become a drummer. That is the highest thing, the rest is a trifle."—Adolf Hitler, 1924 before the Munich People's Court when Hitler was on trial for Treason for organizing the 1923 Putsch.

Painting "The Agitator" by George Grosz German painter 1928.

and from "The Drummer Of The Third Reich" from The Face of The Third Reich by Joachim C Fest

This ceaseless repetition of identical themes was not merely the expression of his fixations, but also his deliberate technique:

"The chief function [of propaganda] is to convince the masses, whose slowness of understanding needs to be given time in order that they may absorb information; and only constant repetition will finally succeed in imprinting an idea on their mind. Every digression in a propagandist message must always emphasize the same conclusions. The slogan must of course be illustrated in many ways and from several angles, but in the end one must always return to the assertion of the same formula. Then one will be rewarded by the surprising and almost incredible results that such a persistent policy secures. The success of any advertisement, whether of a business or a political nature, depends on the consistency and perseverance with which it is employed." Adolph Hitler

Fox President Roger Ailes' History Of Race-Baiting
from Media Matters
Fox News' rhetoric echoes Ailes' long history of race-baiting
October 27, 2009

Under its president, Roger Ailes, Fox News routinely employs racially charged appeals to foment opposition to the Obama administration and other progressive figures, such as Glenn Beck's comments that President Obama is a "racist" and "has a deep-seated hatred for white people or the white culture." Before launching the Fox News Channel, Ailes worked as a media consultant for several Republican campaigns where evidence shows he similarly appealed to racial fears and biases for political gain, and as executive producer for Rush Limbaugh's television show, during which Limbaugh made several controversial statements.

and from Media Matters article here are some highlights of Ailes career of race baiting & his smear campaigns:

Ailes' political and media history is littered with race-based appeals

As Nixon campaign consultant, Ailes reportedly looked for a "Wallaceite cab-driver" to bring up race at televised town hall meetings.

Ailes on 1988 strategy against Dukakis: "The only question is whether we depict Willie Horton with a knife in his hand or without it."

Ailes' 1989 attacks on Dinkins for Giuliani "prey[ed] upon the fears of the Jewish community."

Ailes produced Limbaugh's television show.

Racist & Nuts: Tom Tancredo suggest retaliation in the form of bombing the Islamic sacred cities of Mecca & Medina.

Fox News under Ailes routinely engages in race-baiting

Beck caps off week of race-baiting by calling Obama a "racist."

Hannity just can't "get over" his Rev. Wright obsession.

Rev. Wright redux: Media use Jones controversy to revive Wright smear.

After asking, "Do the Obamas have a race problem of their own?" Hannity continued to smear Barack and Michelle Obama.

Ignoring Obama's statement on award, Hannity suggested that Obama "associated" himself with Farrakhan.

Morris: McCain "doesn't have to" engage in Willie Horton-like campaign because O'Reilly is already doing so.

Hannity smeared Gates as anti-white radical by distorting 1994 interview.

Conservative media figures falsely suggest that Reich proposed excluding white males from stimulus package.

O'Reilly tease: "[S]hould white Americans be concerned about Judge Sotomayor?"

Beck: Sotomayor "sure sounds like a racist here."

Reporting on Sotomayor, "identity politics," and "the immigration debate," Fox shows video of apparent immigrants in detention.

Tom Tancredo suggested that after next terrorist attack on the US the President should respond with a retaliation in the form of a nuclear strike on Mecca & Medina.
So for instance does that mean that during WWII in retaliation of Italy's part in that war the US and its allies should have bombed and obliterated Vatican City.

Is Tom Tancredo so consumed with hate towards all Muslims (or is he just playing to his base) that he is willing to risk total war with a number of Muslim nations since the bombing of Mecca & Medina would be seen as a declaration of war on Islam & all Muslims. Osama Bin Laden would approve for it would mean total war.

The other issue here is once again this attitude which was prevalent under the Bush Regime of collective guilt. If a sniper fired at US troops in Iraq the US soldiers obliterated the neighborhood or town or just arrested people at random roughing them up , humiliating them , beating them ,verbally abusing them, taking them in for questioning using Harsh Techniques keeping them incarcerated for months or years even though these people had nothing to do with the sniper .

US soldiers are still getting involved in these "Actions" of reprisals which remind one of the reprisal killings and torture done by Saddam , by the Former Shah of Iran or even the German soldiers under the Nazi Regime.

And some Human Rights groups and the United Nations special Raporteur has suggested that the Drone attacks conducted by Obama may also have been just a matter of retaliation. They kill one of ours we kill a hundred of theirs.

Presidential Candidate Tom Tancredo advocates bombing of Mecca and Medina to fight against Islamic Terrorism

The Russians are coming no the Socialist are coming, the Feminist are no the correct response according to Hate Mongers such as Lou Dobbs, Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity & Tom Tancredo is the Mexicans & Latinos are coming but so are the Muslims. Muslims are out out to invade and destroy America . Mexican & Latinos also out to destroy America. Acccording these consiracy theories it is even possible that the Muslims are wotking together with the Mexicans and Latinos to undermine American sovereignty and America's traditional culture. At the very least these groups along with "Liberals" and Homosexuals Feminists, the ACLU are a threat and may possibly challenge to some minor degree White Heterosexual Male Christian privilege . To these Hate Merchants any such outsider group which wants to have their civil rights protected is seen as an attack on traditional American values . Of course these racists believe Latinos, Mexicans, Muslims and just about anyone who is not a Real American is inferior and subhuman. This is why they would see nothing disturbing about setting up minefields and machine guns along a walled border which would just mow down men women and children trying to jump the wall.( for a film reference see John Carpenter's Escape From LA )

Tancredo also proposed a Bill providing for an unusual loyalty test in which Muslims must take an oath that they would "not advocate installing a Sharia law system in the United States " Would he next suggest Catholics entering or even those now residing in the US take an oath that they will be loyal to America first and the Vatican Second and would he require all Jewish Americans to swear loyalty to America first and Israel second so should Moonies swear to obey the president first and their religious leader Sun Myung Moon second- tell that one to the Washington Times!

The 10 Worst Congressmen 6. MR. BIGOTRY TOM TANCREDO (R-COLO.) by Tim Dickinson at Rolling Stone Oct. 17, 2006

The House Immigration Reform Caucus certainly has its share of hard-core xenophobes: One member, Rep. Steve King of Iowa, calls illegal immigration a "terrorist attack on the United States" and wants to erect an electrified fence to control Mexicans like livestock. But the founder of the caucus -- and the undisputed king of Republican bigotry -- is Tancredo, a dark-horse presidential contender for 2008. "He's got the best track record in Congress," raves Gordon Baum, head of the Council for Conservative Citizens, a "pro-white" group that lauds Tancredo for protecting America from a "full-scale invasion" of Latin immigrants.
Elected to the House in 1998, Tancredo has not only led the fight to deport every undocumented worker in America -- a proposal that would cost at least $200 billion -- but has called for halting all immigration, legal and otherwise.

In one unforgettable move, Tancredo wanted to deport the family of an undocumented high school boy who was profiled in The Denver Post for his perfect grades.

The grandson of Italian immigrants, Tancredo traces his interest in politics to the eighth grade, when he played Fidel Castro in a class assignment. He urges America to reject "the siren song of multiculturalism" and depicts Islam as "a civilization bent on destroying ours." In September, when Pope Benedict XVI sparked riots by condemning Islam as "evil," Tancredo urged him not to apologize. Even the right has noted his unbridled looniness on the subject: In July, when Tancredo proposed that America respond to any future terrorist attack by bombing Mecca and other holy sites, the National Review came to an unavoidable conclusion: "Tom Tancredo is an idiot."

From his website:

Tom Tancredo

Years ago he was a lone voice in the wilderness. Speaking out against the ills of the illegal alien invasion. No one in the halls of power wanted to listen at that time. As a congressman, he once showed surveillance video of illegal border crossings to hundreds of his colleagues. Trafficking in faceless immigrants and illicit drugs. No one wanted to see it. In just 4 minutes, hundreds of members of congress, his colleagues, had vacated the room. They weren't interested. No one wanted to listen.

Years since then Tom has carried the torch. Doing whatever it takes to protect our borders, the language of our country's founders and to save our shared American culture. His championing of these tenets has gained him supporters who believe in his ideals.

The idea that America is going to lose its current or traditional culture or language is just a matter of fear mongering. Even if America would take on Spanish as an official second language this will not cause the death of the English language in America. There are many countries which have two or more official languages and they have survived in fact for some this is part of their identity .

Would these Nativist insist that everyone speak English and if you don't you get fined or arrested. Let's see them try that in an Italian neighborhood or Ukranian or Polish or in "China Town". So what if they speak their native language amongst themselves in private or in public. Next thing you know they'll be policing the English language so that regional dialects from New Jersey to the deep South or West Virginia or Pennsylvania would all be forced to take proper English classes from whom- a new Yorker , a Bostonian fellow. Sorry but language is supposed to be a living thing not set in granite. Countries have tried this have usually have been less than successful or even hasten the decline of a language.

Tancredo Ventures Further Out on the Fringe by Rob Waters on October 8, 2009

The "Conservative Movement " in the United States has adopted various proven propaganda techniques which have been used by advertisers, dictators and demagogues such as Hitler.

One of the techniques is first simplifying a message and then repeating it over and over. For instance Lou Dobbs says Immigrants are an invasion force and then Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity, Chris Wallace, Rush Limbaug, Bill O'Reilly and Tom Tancredo & Pat Buchanan repeat it word for word . Then to back it up they have these phony so-called unbiased experts on illegal-immigration on their programs to present their dubious studies and conclusions combined with anecdotal evidence . The fact is these experts belong to organizations such as F.A.I.R., NumbersUSA & other anti-immigration groups which are backed financially for the most part or at least are given a large amount of "Seed Funds" by a small group of individuals such as John Tanton (- more about him next time).

During the Bush/Cheney years we saw the technique of simplifying a message to a sound bite which could be repeated and easily remembered - the more imaginative the better such as "smoking gun in the shape of a mushroom cloud" . But repetition was crucial and that it be repeated by various members of the media and not just a few obvious shills so if you get the Washington Post & The New York Times and reputable TV network journalist who were "trusted" repeating the message like an ongoing "Mantra" which would become irresistible to those who knew only what these messengers were telling them and did not realize they should always check other sources. Of course if the majority in the Media, the Press are involved then how does one question the source.

Repeating sound bites -

War On Terror

Saddam has Weapons of Mass Destruction
Saddam has Atomic bombs which he is willing to use(oops- so does the US , Britain, France, India, Pakistan, China, & Israel)
Saddam was connected in some way to 9/11,
Saddam is a brutal dictator
Saddam uses torture(oops)
Saddam controls the Media & the Press(oops again)
Saddam is evil incarnate ( compared to whom the US CIA & its Military run by Cheney the Sadist watching torture tapes for laughs)
"we don't want the smoking gun to be in the shape of a Mushroom Cloud"
Pre-9/11 mind set
America does not torture
torture is not torture
- enhanced interrogation techniques are not abuse or torture (Cheney rewrites laws and the dictionary & historycause he's God-or sent by God or the other guy)
torture worked
using torture thousand of American lives have been spared,
Halliburton, KBR and Blackwater and other outsourced or contracted out companies are "real Americans" "true Patriots"
anyone criticizing Bush is aiding & abetting the "enemy"
Freedom of dissent is not permitted in War Time

Then with "Conservative Movements" attacks on
Barack Obama:
is too radical
knew radicals
is not a US citizen
is a secret Muslim, Obama is a Manchurian candidate
is a socialist
making America unsafe
is an appeaser
has no ideas
unable to create good policies
doesn't understand the enemy
hates Israel
FEMA camps are real
hates America
hates all white Americans,death panels
& ACORN caused America's financial meltdown,
Obama=Hitler/Mussolini/Stalin/Lenin/ Pol Pott or the Anti-Christ,
is a tool of The New World Order
is a Reptilian from inner earth

Race & Immigration
" they do not share our values"
Muslims have a culture of death
All Muslims are taught to hate America, the West and Christianity
Muslims want to take over America from the inside

Illegal-immigrants -undocumented citizens or workers
Mexicans Latinos
"they do not share our values"
dirty
disease ridden
have no morals
criminals by nature
inferior to whites
lazy
want to reconquer part or all of continental America
sexually perverted
a drain on US economy
stealing jobs from "Real Americans"
destroying America's traditional values

Anyway I'll leave you with this final thought as it were.

Will the current "Conservative Movement" be willing to be patient and bide their time till they are able to take power legally by elections or impeachment. If they over excite their base then violence may become prevalent at which time a "strong man or strong woman" as a member of the Conservative Movement or someone willing to be their puppet would be forced to take action to save the nation.

The other contingency is that in response to a prevalence of violence and a national crisis in which the nation is on the verge of a break down of civil society President Obama would be forced to take control-even this would be a good outcome given the mindset of the current Conservative movement. In this way Obama would be fulfilling the right's attitudes and prophecies concerning Obama's True Agenda even though this was not part of his plan. This would prove once and for all that "liberals" or the Democratic Party are not up to the job of defending and protecting America from threats without or within.

Glenn Beck Is To Be Worshiped & Adored : Shep Smith LOu Dobbs the Other Fanatic & Racist

Anyway, Hi Ho!
Let the madness continue...

Shep Smith used to be funny til they sent him a memo.
Glenn Beck to be worshiped & adored
Fear Chamber
Shepard Smith Goofs on Glenn Beck!
Shep has some fun goofing around about Glenn Beck's Big Event today. Chris Wallace has a few choice words, and Beck himself gets interviewed.

Glenn Beck confuses fictional Jack Bauer with Reality
and so concerned about veterans once Obama's in power during Bush years any serving soldier or retired who complained was called a phony soldier.

Glenn Beck & Chris Wallace reading from the same telepromter & Karl Rove's Talking Points Memo.

Fox "News" vs. Fox "Opinion"

It is unfortunate that so many of sincere American citizens have been duped by Lou Dobbs and his lies , exaggerations, distortions, fabrications, slander, smears, & racist views about Latinos and undocumented persons in the United States. To fit with his own racist views he just makes stuff up or relies on dubious, questionable information from biased rightwing Think Tanks which manipulate statistics and studies to fit with their own racist Xenophobic, Nativist agenda. But unfortunately there are others who are as hate-filled or simply misinformed or misguided who help Lou Dobbs and his attacks on illegal-and legal immigrants. They include Glenn Beck, Bill O'reilly, Michael Savage Michelle Malkin, Rush Limbaugh ,Michele Bachmann, Tom Tancredo, Ann Coulter Laura Ingraham , Pamella Stellar at Atlas Shrugs etc.all of whom are proud of their racist viewpoint which they refer to as "racial realism" or Racialism.

These same folks also hate all Muslims including Muslim Americans whom they see as forming a fifth column in the United States and who are now joining the Illegal-Latino Immigrants to undermine America's traditional values and its way of life.

Given their own view of life it is no wonder that these Nativists don't trust Latinos or Muslim Americans or African Americans etc. Their view is that of a form of conservative social Darwinism which states emphatically that life is a struggle in which it is a matter of the survival of the fittest so they reject notions such as cooperation, bi-partisanship, working together , sharing the wealth of the country to its citizens And they hate notions such as Empathy and altruism just read your Leo Strauss & Ayn Rand . Both of these so called political and social philosophers believed in the inequality of man . They believed in classes which are a matter of genetics or culture & socialization but in essence they reject any notion of equality at birth or otherwise. They believe in a strict dichotomy of winner take all and that it is not how you play the game but whether or not you win or lose., and the dialectic & dualistic thinking of Good vs Evil, Saints Vs Sinners, Demons Vs Angels.

Lou Dobbs a problem for CNN

Tom Tancredo compares human rights group ALa Raza to the Ku Klux Klan Of course one gets the impression that Tancredo like others of his xenophobic, Nativist ilk longs for the days before there was desegregation in America. But it is not politically astute to attack African Americans though his view Latinos, Mexican-Americans, Hispanic Americans are "Fair Game"- it is the new improved Brand of acceptable racism in America -so who's with the Klan ??? -
So Mr. Tancredo how many white people has La Raza "Lynched"- how many times have Latinos forced all non-latinos to sit at the back of the bus, or refused to serve White Americans in their restaurants , or made White kids attend second rate schools , or told white Americans if they tried to register to vote or to vote they would be beaten or their whole family "Lynched" The accusation that they in any way are similar to the KKK is nonsense its like saying NAACP is like the Klan because the organization was formed to deal with issues concerning African-Americans.

And make no mistake those who are most vocal about illegal-immigrants are also pushing for tighter controls and fewer legal-immigrants-some argue into the United States (as they also argue here in Canada) that the immigrants allowed in should reflect our existing population ie mainly white Christian Europeans should get put to the head of the line etc. These restrictions are in effect just another form of racism no matter how they try to dress it up. So they want strict controls of Muslims and people of other religions they don't like.

These people mainly whites fear that they may in the future not be the the majority. These racist in earlier times feared the Irish immigrants the majority of whom were Catholic, the Asian immigrants or Eastern Europeans or the Jews. These xenophobic fears change & morph with the passage of time.

and so it goes,
GORD.

Bob Beckel schools pawns Hannity calls Hannity's show an anti-Obama opinion show & not journalism.
Hannity , Beck., O'Relly want it both ways when they are called out on a peice of misinformation or outright lies they say well its just their opinion. Then they turn around and claim they are the only network which has all the facts and understands what Obama's agenda is. Glenn Beck doesn't just give out his opinion but tries to back it up with power point presentations and his Conspiratorial Blackboard where he finds connections where there are none.

Its the old Butterfly Effect-so everything is connected and somehow Obama ACORN Kevin Bacon the Rockefellers & the illuminati are all part of the New World Order which is orchestrated by Hitler who's in a wheelchair in his HQ lair under a mountain .

Sean Hannity's New Slogan "Not White House Approved" fair enough since up until Nov. 2008 Fox News was the echo chamber for the Bush /Cheney Regime for eight years.During that time they call the other networks biased, anti-Bush and Unamerican. Now they think its OK to not agree with the White House and to even poke fun at the President & engage in an all out smear campaign. Then after telling one lie after another or base their opinion on innuendo, rumors & Far Right & Far Left crackpot conspiracy theories & then claim they are reporting the news.

O'Reilly says Obama is trying to take away Freedom of the Press and Freedom of Speech. He argues that people have the right to dissent - he didn't say this when Bush was in power-

It was Glenn Beck of Fox News who organized the 9/12 protest and their coverage was a sham . Claiming there were a million people there when there was less than 100,000. Meanwhile Fox gets caught managing & orchestrating the news.

END NOTES

Olbermann's critique of Glenn Beck is on target except I wish he had used the moment to discuss the historical details surrounding the Rockefeller Mural which was created by one of the twentieth century's greatest artist Diego Rivera . Diego Rivera was a Mexican and a Marxist revolutionary. When he was commissioned by Rockefeller to create the mural in its original design was not supposed to be as overtly political but then Diego Rivera added a portrait of Lennon.

The mural was supposed to be an homage to American Labor and industry as the basis of America's success. It was not in the Rockefeller 's view a homage to Karl Marx or to the Fascist Mussolini. In this sense the mural was to be a celebration of American exceptionalism. Glenn Beck didn't bother to read about its real history or the Bios of Rockefeller or Diego Rivera. Rivera was an artistic Genuis but he was a Marxist and he claimed"principled" but it was less todo with principles than to do with his own ego that he and Rockefeller came to be involved in this controversy, As we see this clip which is fairly accurate Fried Kahlo tells him to just make the changes and move on. If he had Rivera could have created a number of other great works of art in the United States therby influencing the artistic community and enlightening the general public about the state of modern art but his ego got in his way.

Diego Rivera at Rockefeller Center (Frida).AVI

Diego Rivera's Man at the Crossroads 1934 at PBS Culture Shock

By 1930, Mexican muralist Diego Rivera has gained international favor for his lush and passionate murals. Inspired by Communist ideals and an intense devotion to his cultural heritage, Rivera creates boldly hued masterpieces of public art that adorn the municipal buildings of Mexico City. His outgoing personality puts him at the center of a circle of left-wing painters and poets, and his talent attracts wealthy patrons, including Abby Aldrich Rockefeller. In 1932, she convinces her husband, John D. Rockefeller, Jr., to commission a Rivera mural for the lobby of the soon-to-be-completed Rockefeller Center in New York City.

Flush from successes in San Francisco and Detroit, Rivera proposes a 63-foot-long portrait of workers facing symbolic crossroads of industry, science, socialism, and capitalism. The painter believes that his friendship with the Rockefeller family will allow him to insert an unapproved representation of Soviet leader Vladimir Lenin into a section portraying a May Day parade. The real decision-making power lies with the Center's building managers, who abhor Rivera's propagandistic approach. Horrified by newspaper articles attacking the mural's anti-capitalist ideology, they order Rivera to remove the offending image. When Rivera refuses, offering to balance the work with a portrait of Abraham Lincoln on the opposing side, the managers pay his full fee, bar him from the site, and hide the mural behind a massive drape. Despite negotiations to transfer the work to the Museum of Modern Art and demonstrations by Rivera supporters, near midnight, on February 10th, 1934, Rockefeller Center workmen, carrying axes, demolish the mural. Later, Rivera recreates the frescoes in the Palace of Fine Arts in Mexico City, adding a portrait of John D. Rockefeller, Jr., in a nightclub. Rivera never works in the United States again, but continues to be active, both politically and artistically, until his death in 1957.

His surviving murals, such as The Detroit Industry Murals, installed in the Detroit Institute of Arts, are treasured as 20th century masterpieces. Rivera's work is also in the collection of New York's Museum of Modern Art, co-founded by Abby Aldrich Rockefeller.

Fox News "24/7 Anti-Obama Oppositon" & "Beck's Language Scary "

Anyway Kudos to "Liberal Viewer" at Youtube for an excellent job analyzing and deconstructing Faux Fox News.

President Obama has finally taken a stand against Fox News. Fox News claims to a non-partisan "Fair and Balanced" news network. If so they should prove it. Instead they unfair and unbalanced as they are the Bull-Horn for The Conservative Movement -they are the agitators who seem to be prodding their base into violent actions against their own gov't by calling into question everything Obama does . Obama is not trying to shut Fox News down which Fox claims -Obama is just making the point that Fox is partisan and has become a Republican, Radical Right attack machine. Fox has a right to spew their nonsense and hate but Fox is not a non-partisan news network. They put their own spin on everything and misinform , lie , ignore the facts and confuse factual reporting with opinions which are not based on facts .

Here is and another case presented by The Liberal Viewer in which Fox News uses the death of someone whom they hate to spew more lies & smears in this case Kurt Vonnegut. Yet Fox News claims to be "Fair & Balanced" ie they mean it is fair to attack and smear anyone who might be a "lberal" which they balance with praise for anyone who is conservative enough or at least hates Obama.

Fox News Obituary Trashes Kurt Vonnegut

See for instance commentary by John Doyle in the Globe and Mail giving a Canadian perspective in which he characterizes Fox News Network as the "24/7 anti-Obama administration opposition" and that "Fox News and its allies are attempting a very American kind of coup – relentless smearing of a legitimate, elected government as socialist, un-American and totalitarian. You get enough people believing the smears, the coup succeeds."

The danger of taking on Fox News's cranky old men
U.S. President Barack Obama goes to war – against the Fox News Channel" John Doyle, Globe and Mail , Oct. 26, 2009

Few things in the TV racket are richer in humour than the sight and sound of Fox News pundits spewing self-righteous venom for the delectation of the cranky old guys who watch Fox. And yes, they are the Fox News audience. According to studies, in 2008, some 50 per cent of the Fox News Channel viewers were over 63, the oldest demographic in the cable-news racket, and the majority of viewers of Hannity's and O'Reilly's shows were men. Yep, that's the Fox News demo – the cranky old guy who stormed out the front door and shouted at you to quit playing outside his house. He's still angry. Except right now he's angry about Obama.

The question is this: Why bother attacking Fox News? The answer is this: It's Obama's “just watch me” moment, a snarl at both Fox, which has set itself up as a 24/7 anti-Obama administration opposition, and at those weak-kneed Democrats who think Fox is best ignored.

Of course, the Obama administration's attacks on Fox have produced the inevitable closing of ranks by all the network and cable-news outlets. Can't let Fox seem isolated. One for all, and all for one. But, in truth, I doubt if Obama's boys are bothered by that. The main point of the tactic of attacking Fox is to put the channel on the defensive, to make it look foolish as it tries to justify its endlessly negative coverage of Obama and his policies. For Obama's boys, it's the attack-first-and-make-'em-squirm tactic.

These are dangerous days for the Obama administration, as it struggles to create a workable health-care proposal, a sensible foreign policy and to ease the U.S. economy out of deep recession. At the same time, the climate of debate is toxic. The precise nature of the level of debate was put in context recently by Gene Weingarten in The Washington Post, writing sarcastically about his paper's public search for “the next great pundit.” The sarcasm includes this remark: “The current debate in America, for example, isn't whether Barack Obama is, or is not, right for the country, it's about whether Barack Obama is, or is not, Hitler.”

It's Fox News that has set that tone. Fox News pundits have promoted and encouraged viewers to attend those “tea party” protests and town-hall meetings. The insufferable Glenn Beck has ranted that Obama's health-care-reform agenda is a means by which Obama can effect “reparations for slavery.” It's Fox that continually suggests Obama's policies have the taint of socialism or even communism and reinforces this by always referring to officials in the Obama administration as “czars.” It's ludicrous, it makes no sense (the commies were getting rid of the czar, actually), but it plays well to cranky old men who can't be bothered to check facts but are deeply energized by hate.

And the attack by Obama's boys on Fox also acts as a warning to other all-news channels. CNN, for instance, harbours the appalling Lou Dobbs, a guy who has given succour to the nut jobs who believe Obama wasn't born in the U.S. and therefore should not be president.

How far will Obama's people go? Just watch them. It's a battle worth fighting, as far as they are concerned. Politicians and policies have been destroyed by relentless attacks based on rumour, innuendo and half-truths. As far as the Obama administration is concerned, Fox News and its allies are attempting a very American kind of coup – relentless smearing of a legitimate, elected government as socialist, un-American and totalitarian. You get enough people believing the smears, the coup succeeds.

OathKeepers:Anti-government Militant Extremists Local Sheriff The Last Defence For Freedom & American Sovereignty

UPDATE: 3:50 AM & 5:08 AM Oct. 26 Insignia of the Defenders Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club, who’s members are currently serving or are former police officers- They are Also Members of Oath Keepers Militant Right Wing organization now part of the Mainstream -Rightwing Radical Chic Flag of the Militant 3percenters who believe they only need 3% of Americans to rise up & they can Remove The Current US Administration Banner against North American Union
Oath Keepers, the militia/“Patriot” extremist group made up of law enforcement officers, military personnel and veterans, has posted a photo on its site showing (it says) “an active duty Oath Keeper in Mosul, Iraq” wearing two Velcro-attached “tabs” or patches, one saying “Oath Keeper” and the other “Three percent.” The flag patch beneath them is also an insignia of the “Three Percenters,” an informal alliance of hard-line gun owners. The Oath Keepers figured prominently in a recent special report by the Southern Poverty Law Center on the resurgence of the antigovernment militia movement. The report described the group as “a particularly worrisome example of the Patriot revival.” Oath Keepers is fully on board with all the standard right-wing conspiracy theories, as evidenced by its official list of 10 “Orders We Will Not Obey,” in which it vows to resist any government efforts to “disarm the American people” or turn cities into “giant concentration camps.” In July, the SPLC also presented Congress with growing evidence that extremists are infiltrating the U.S. military and urged Congress and the military to take steps to ensure that the armed forces are not inadvertently training future domestic terrorists. A spokesman for the Defense Department, Lt. Col. Les Melnyk, confirmed that the uniform shown in the photo is an Army combat uniform, the kind worn by soldiers in Iraq. Army regulations stipulate that any uniform item not expressly authorized for wear is prohibited. But Melnyk noted that a Velcro-attached tab can be put on quickly for a photo-op and just as quickly removed. We’re guessing that not many soldiers are really parading around Mosul or anywhere else with these things on display.
from: Oath Keepers Say They’re on Patrol in Iraq Rob Waters on October 21, 2009 SPLC Hatewatch Sheriff Joe (Hitler) Arpaio: Judged by the Company he Keeps Neo-Nazis White Supremacist & Racist Anti-immigrant CNN Media Star Lou Dobbs Does this statement by Sheriff Mack of Oath Keepers help to explain the reluctance of Sheriff Arpaio from discontinuing his activities. To the Oath Keepers and the Conservative Movement and to people like Glenn Beck, O'Reilly , Hannity etc he is a Folk Hero since they believe that all 12,000,000 million undocumented immigrants should be rounded up and incarcerated and then sent back to Mexico or Central America etc. What these draconian racists don't seem to realize that such a roundup would be like declaring a civil war as these immigrants and their families friends and associates and liberals and progressives and even liberal churches might dig in for the long haul and the long war and begin to fight back. If people started dying and there was blood in the streets then who would be the enemy. The County Sheriff America's Last Hope Richard Mack Oath Keeper 1 of 7 Bill Hunt recites the Oath of The Militant Rightwing Armed Wing of The Republican Party and/or The Conservative Movements -Pseudo-fascists who believe only conservative free-enterprise God Fearing Gun-Totting Bible Thumping Christians(mainly white male) should be permitted to rule over America. Are they talking about Non-Compliance refusing an order & standing down or are they talking about an armed Insurrection -these are two different things which Mathews doesn't manage to get a satisfactory answer to-as I have talked about this group they do adhere to a number of conspiracy theories such as the "Birthers" "FEMA" concentration Camps, the deploying of large number of US soldiers on US soil training to deploy to fight American citizens. So their rhetoric belies their claim that they are merely being vigilant-again one asked why didn't they rise up against the Bush Regime. Chris Matthews Takes On Right Wing "Oath Keepers" Founder MSNBC's Chris Matthews Takes On Right Wing "Oath Keepers" Founder Stewart Rhodes - 10/20/09 While wandering through the websites and videos of the Far Right it becomes apparent that they are no longer out there on the fringes outside American mainstream politics or media. Over the last year in particular these Far Right fringe groups have become associated with and intertwined with "The Conservative Movement " and The Republican Party. So the rhetoric of the Republican Party and the Conservative Movement and their adopting of once upon a time "Conspiracy Theories" has become the norm for conservative media especially Fox News and people such as Lou Dobbs on CNN along with Hate Radio stars such as Rush Limbaugh and Michael Savage or Ann Coulter, Michelle Malkin, Tom Tancredo,Michele Bachmann etc. And one of the things of note for instance is this notion of the importance of the "local Sheriff" as the last defender of freedom and of The Constitution and the Bill of Rights and American traditional values and the notion of American exceptionalism and America as a Christian nation . So a character such as Sheriff Arpaio has become a symbol for the "Conservative Movement' because he represents local authority and that he insists on enforcing immigration laws in order to keep America 's traditional values and keep out these millions of illegal-immigrants who are in his view and those of his supporters undermining "law and Order', and bringing in a foreign values system and disrupting American society . Of course a large part of their angst over undocumented immigrants is that they are not white and so creating this notion of the browning of America which Sheriff Joe and Lou Dobbs and Pat Buchanan are extremely fearful of. As has been talked about before is that many Americans in the 19th century had similar concerns and fears about the influx of several million immigrants from Ireland but eventually the Irish of course just became part of the American mosaic and did not destroy America after all. Anyway as we have seen Fox News and their "Fellow Travelers" in The Conservative Movement and in the Republican Party have spent the last year or more fear mongering, spreading misinformation, half-truths mixed with the most outrageous "conspiracy Theories" concerning what they believe to be Barack Obama's nefarious hidden agenda. So night after night Glenn Beck and other agitators use inflammatory over-the-top rhetoric claiming certain things to be facts which they are not attacking everyone associated with Obama of being radicals, communists etc. Now in the past week Obama has finally been pushing back on all these lies especially those promulgated by Fox News. Fox News claims that Obama is against the freedom of the press. But he did not say that. What he said which many commentators having been say at least for a couple of years that Fox News is a partisan pro-Conservative pro-Bush & Cheney and pro-Republican network which distorts facts to fit its agenda. Therefore Fox News is not a legitimate News Network made up of investigative journalist with integrity who do not have an axe to grind. . It is a network with a decidedly rightwing agenda but that does not mean Obama wants to shut Fox News down but merely get Fox to admit that it is slanted and is anti-Obama. The even more dangerous part which Fox News has been playing by supporting the Tea Partys and the 9/12 project is that they are purposely fomenting dissent and anger and are encouraging citizens to resist the Obama administration and its policies by any and all means necessary. For when Fox calls Obama as bad as Hitler or other infamous dictators what is going to be the result eventually some misguided citizens will take up arms and try to oust Obama. This brings us to another militant hyper-patriotic paranoid patriots who want all those members of the military, police forces, FBI, CIA, Pentagon, Fire-fighters ,National Guard, Coast Guard etc. who have taken an oath to defend America and its constitution against "both foreign and domestic" enemies of the US for them to be vigilant and to uphold their oath and refuse to obey orders which are illegal or immoral or which go against the very core values of America. This group calls itself the Oath Keepers . The people they are appealing to are those with training with small arms and /or with automatic rifles and explosives, tanks, armored vehicles . This past weekend they held their first conference since the group came into being last March or earlier. Oath Keepers Declaration of Orders We Will NOT Obey One of the things I find a bit disingenuous about this organization is that it appears partisan that is in favor of the Republicans and the Conservative Movement and refer to themselves as "Real Americans" the Real Patriots and as being true Christians who reject the liberalizing of Christianity yet their values are pro-free market place and unfettered capitalism and anti-tax and anti-homosexual, anti-feminist, anti-Evolution anti-liberal education, anti-UN & pro-war etc. And it bugs me that if these soldiers were so concerned about sovereignty and freedom why did they not question the unnecessary invasion of the sovereign nation of Iraq. Why didn't they take a stand when it became public knowledge that Bush & Cheney and the media lied over and over again about Iraq erroneously claiming America had to invade Iraq or Iraq would destroy Israel or the United States when in fact Iraq was a mere shadow of its former self. Why didn't they then if they cared about the American soldiers being killed why didn't they protest against the Bush Regime for its lies and then for its incompetent handling of the war in Iraq and Afghanistan. Why did these so called patriots think it was OK to break with American Law and tradition which went back to Washington, Jefferson & Lincoln and FDR that America does not torture or abuse or humiliate enemy prisoners whether they are called POWS. Enemy Combatants, or detainees. From Oath Keepers website:
You may have heard about us, you may have read about us or perhaps you’ve seen our videos or bumper stickers. We cordially invite you to come and meet us face to face and enjoy the company of like-minded patriotic men and women deeply committed to their sacred oath to the constitution aka: Guardians of the Republic. Although all patriotic citizens are most welcome, the bedrock of our organization is comprised of active/retired/veterans both Military service personnel and National Peace Officers, proficient in protecting the American people from all enemies both foreign and domestic! Time is of the essence; We hope you make the decision to “saddle up” to help us restore the republic to its original design of all men/women being equal and free to seek: Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness without tyrannical government interference!
and their list of orders they will refuse to obey include:
1. We will NOT obey orders to disarm the American people. 2. We will NOT obey orders to conduct warrantless searches of the American people 3. We will NOT obey orders to detain American citizens as “unlawful enemy combatants” or to subject them to military tribunal. 4. We will NOT obey orders to impose martial law or a “state of emergency” on a state. 5. We will NOT obey orders to invade and subjugate any state that asserts its sovereignty. 6. We will NOT obey any order to blockade American cities, thus turning them into giant concentration camps. 7. We will NOT obey any order to force American citizens into any form of detention camps under any pretext. 8. We will NOT obey orders to assist or support the use of any foreign troops on U.S. soil against the American people to “keep the peace” or to “maintain control." 9. We will NOT obey any orders to confiscate the property of the American people, including food and other essential supplies. 10.We will NOT obey any orders which infringe on the right of the people to free speech, to peaceably assemble, and to petition their government for a redress of grievances.
Oath Keepers Speak Out at Inaugural Conference-Oct. 25,2009 And wacko dirty tricks Nixon Crook G.Gordon Liddy interview of Stewart Rhodes:
Oath Keepers, G. Gordon Liddy (Stewart Rhodes interview) April 9, 2009 Oath Keepers is a non-partisan association of currently serving military, reserves, National Guard, peace officers, and veterans who swore an oath to support and defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic. We military, veterans, and peace officers who honor our oaths to defend the Constitution, will NOT just follow orders, we will stand for liberty, and we will save the Republic, so help us God. Our motto is: "Not on Our Watch!"
And here is another militant group which uses militaristic rhetoric claiming that it will be too late to take back a America if they wait even another year. Three Percenter Back by popular demand: "What is a Three Percenter?" at Sipsey Street Irregulars :The gathering place for a merry band of Three Percenters. Aug. 24, 2009
What is a 'Three Percenter'? During the American Revolution, the active forces in the field against the King's tyranny never amounted to more than 3% of the colonists. They were in turn actively supported by perhaps 10% of the population. In addition to these revolutionaries were perhaps another 20% who favored their cause but did little or nothing to support it. Another one-third of the population sided with the King (by the end of the war there were actually more Americans fighting FOR the King than there were in the field against him) and the final third took no side, blew with the wind and took what came. Three Percenters today do not claim that we represent 3% of the American people, although we might. That theory has not yet been tested. We DO claim that we represent at least 3% of American gun owners, which is still a healthy number somewhere in the neighborhood of 3 million people. History, for good or ill, is made by determined minorities. We are one such minority. So too are the current enemies of the Founders' Republic. What remains, then, is the test of will and skill to determine who shall shape the future of our nation. The Three Percent today are gun owners who will not disarm, will not compromise and will no longer back up at the passage of the next gun control act. Three Percenters say quite explicitly that we will not obey any further circumscription of our traditional liberties and will defend ourselves if attacked. We intend to maintain our God-given natural rights to liberty and property, and that means most especially the right to keep and bear arms. Thus, we are committed to the restoration of the Founders' Republic, and are willing to fight, die and, if forced by any would-be oppressor, to kill in the defense of ourselves and the Constitution that we all took an oath to uphold against enemies foreign and domestic. The Doctrine of the Three Percent. We will not disarm. You cannot convince us. You cannot intimidate us. You can try to kill us, if you think you can. But remember, we'll shoot back. And we are not going away. Your move. As things begin to spin out of control, remember this: "All politics in this country now is just dress rehearsal for civil war." -- Billy Beck, August 2009. From MamaLiberty over at War on Guns: "Here's an idea...If nobody wants a 'civil disturbance,' why in heck don't they quit disturbing us?"
and so it goes, GORD.

Is Fox (Faux) News & "The Conservative Movement" Encouraging Domestic Terrorism To Oust Obama?

At times it seems, when dealing with the modern conservative movement, as if we’ve entered a gigantic and remorseless mirror funhouse. Or more to the point, a dark and labyrinthine cavern, twisting in an endless maze, whose architecture we can only vaguely discern through upheld torches.

Every now and then, though, someone within the movement hierarchy – often one at the very top – will let slip a bit of the curtain, flashing a little light on the vastness and shape of the metastatic architecture of the conservative movement. When it happens, it can be a little like the scene in Aliens when Ripley’s flamethrower lights up the interior of the lair into which she has wandered.

The mutability of truth is what has made confronting the conservative movement so maze-like – you never know what kind of bizarre argument they’re going to come up with next.

At times they even turn established historical consensus on its head. First we get Ann Coulter penning a defense of McCarthyism in her book Treason; then we get Michelle Malkin justifying the forced incarceration of 122,000 Japanese Americans with In Defense of Internment. What’s next? A text outlining the virtues of fascism? (Calling Michael Ledeen!11)

But the movement not only makes reality a function of the movement’s agenda; its agenda itself can shift rapidly according to the strategic needs of the movement in its acquisition of power. Thus... the conservative movement has come to resemble nothing so genuinely conservative at all but rather something starkly radical: profligate spending; incautious and expansionary wars, pursued unilaterally; the steady dumbing-down of the nation’s education system.

The neo-Confederate-laden GOP no longer has even a passing resemblance to the “party of Lincoln.” Even at the micro-political level, in interpersonal debate, the famous conservative carefulness, politeness and reserve has utterly vanished.

The conservative movement, as such, is an ever-shifting beast. Its drive is power, and as such it has gradually adopted the familiar architecture of another power-mad phenomenon of mass politics: fascism.

Above Quote from : "The Rise of Pseudo Fascism" David Neiwert February 25, 2005

Frank Schaeffer argues that the US federal government and the Department of Justice should treat domestic terrorism as seriously as they do foreign terrorism.
So investigations should be done of various organizations when violent acts are committed. So if a doctor is murdered because he/she performs abortions if there is a link to Operation Rescue or other anti-abortion pro-life groups this should be investigated and if found to be true then actions should be taken in the same way as Muslim charities in the United States are treated if it is suspected that they are helping to fund Islamic terrorist organizations.

So this would mean if a Christian Evangelical group were funding or supporting in some manner or encouraging a domestic terrorist organization or individual domestic terrorist they should be investigated and if found guilty they would need to be shut down.

For instance if one could make the case for seditious and traitorous speech and the use of misinformation and propaganda to aid in the justification of violent actions against the government such an individual or group should be held accountable. So if an individual or group by such means encourages its members or other to commit violent actions that individual or group are at the least morally culpable and if the evidence is substantiated the individual or group is legally accountable and could face charges of sedition and treason .

So if a case could be made that The Fox News Network was engaging not just in anti-government rhetoric but had crossed the line encouraging citizens to take matters into their own hands against the democratically elected government which Fox News told their audience was no longer the legitimate government and must be overthrown in some manner and that the country could not wait to do so or rely on doing so by legal means including elections or impeachment proceedings etc.then Fox News or individuals who are part of Fox News would therefore be culpable both morally and legally.

What in such a situation would be considered as enough evidence to prove such a case. In a free and open society which believes in the importance of a free press the evidence would indeed have to be overwhelming.

Of course if we used the standards of the "Conservative Movement " Fox News itself and the Republican Party ala Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld & the Neocons one could apply their principles of a pre-emptive strike. That is a nation cannot afford to wait til the evidence is that of assassinated members of the government in power or for instance Federal Buildings destroyed by bombs set off by those who take the words of these agitators deadly serious and so act believing as they have been told day after day that such actions would be those of "True Patriots" and "Real Americans"-

We should remember Lee Harvey Oswald thought he was doing what was best for America. In his twisted little world he believed himself to be acting as a "True Patriot" or "Real American" to remove John F. Kennedy who many conservatives at the time believed to be less than a real American who was soft on communism and was in their view interfering in State's Rights and that he was going against America's traditional values (or Southern values) by getting involved in the Civil Rights Movement. Many conservatives in the South believed the "Negro Problem" was theirs to handle whatever way they wished to as they had done over the previous century. The South was still pissed-off that these Yankees had interfered with their use of "rough justice" in the form of "lynchings" .

Now day in and day out Fox News and Talk Radio in the United States preach their hate against minorities, blacks, Hispanics, illegal-immigrants, homosexuals and against anyone whom they label "liberal" or "Socialist" and they continue unrelentingly to call into question the legitimacy of the Obama administration and characterize its policies as being UnAmerican , anti-American and against America's traditional values and as being unconstitutional and has a nefarious evil agenda and therefore must be stopped.

Frank Schaeffer On: Why We Need To Expect Right Wing Domestic Terror (And What to Do About It)

The Obama administration tried to proclaim Fox News not a real news network because it is engaged in promoting & creating anti-government movements such as The tea Party & the 9/12 project Fox News engages in hate speech against the Obama administration claiming it is destroying the nation. Further Fox News distorts the facts, promulgates conspiracy theories depicting the Obama administration as involved in various nefarious schemes; to create a totalitarian state ; as working with other foreign governments to create a New World Order or One world government or making the US,Canada & Mexico into one nation . Fox News also pushes the "Birther Conspiracy " or that Obama in league with various left wing organizations such as ACORN have influenced and embedded themselves in various institutions made the election of Barack Obama possible.

Glenn Beck and others claim that Obama has set up FEMA concentration style camps where those opposed to Obama's policies would be incarcerated.Fox News twists the issue of illegal-immigrants as part of the Obama administration's conspiracy as a means to undermining American civil society and as part of what some conservatives claim is the "browning of America".

Fox News is engaged in revisionists history claiming the economic problems of America which began before Obama came to power in fact is the result of actions by Obama and his "Fellow Travelers".

They have also claimed that Obama is mishandling the War on Terror and has made America more vulnerable to terrorists attacks.

So by the use of distortions , misinformation, lies, half-truths playing on peoples fears and prejudices Fox News is actively engaged in undermining the Obama presidency and its policies to the point where it is incapable of enforcing its policies and becomes a lame duck presidency at the least to make it untenable then replacing it legally by impeachment etc. or having it overthrown by force . If it were replaced by force Fox news and the Conservative movement would not accept any of the blame but rather would blame Obama and his administration for pushing for policies which the American people did not approve of.

Rachel Maddow Why Fox News Isn't News

A (Great!) Guest Post From Alternet 8 Reasons Fox Is Not a News Organization By Adele Stan, AlterNet. Posted October 24, 2009.

Even before Barack Obama was elected to the presidency, Rupert Murdoch had declared war on him via the personalities of Fox News Channel, a subsidiary of Murdoch's media conglomerate, News Corp.

Since Obama's election, the cable channel's hosts and paid analysts have launched a full frontal assault on the president, smearing his nominees, calling him a racist and suggesting that his administration was trying to persuade disabled veterans to off themselves.

Now the fearmongers at Fox are crying foul since the president and his aides declared Fox not to be a news organization. Earlier this month, White House Communications Director Anita Dunn called Fox an "arm" of the Republican Party. Obama went even further, suggesting this week that Fox "is operating basically as a talk-radio format," and we know what that means: A format in which the most provocative opinions dominate the discourse and facts are optional.

Yet that's just the tip of the iceberg. Setting Fox apart from the two other cable news networks is its ownership by a corporation whose CEO and major shareholder is a mogul with an ideological agenda -- who operates his News Channel as a propaganda machine for his anti-government cause.

He even has his own community organizer, a fellow named Glenn Beck, who can turn out a mob on a dime at your local town-hall meeting. His big ratings-getter, Bill O'Reilly, is a professional bully, handsomely paid to physically intimidate progressive commentators -- on video -- and to vilify others.

Murdoch's agenda is simple: He's against regulation of any kind. Famous for smashing the unions at his U.K. properties, Murdoch also has a pronounced disdain for labor.

In essence, Murdoch's agenda tracks closely with that of the current GOP, that far-right rump of a party that once claimed to embrace a range of views under the canvas of a big tent. So he uses the Fox airwaves to raise funds for Republican political action committees.

We've seen the Fox News-branded hosts and pundits -- such as Michelle Malkin and John Stossel -- sent out gin up the fearful folk gathered by astroturfing groups funded by corporations that seek to derail government intervention of any kind, whether in the nation's dysfunctional health care system or in its increasingly compromised environment.

Murdoch saves money by farming out the investigative-journalism functions of his alleged news enterprise to Republican Party entities, whose error-laden press releases are passed off as original Fox News research.

and the articles continues:

Why Fox News is not a news operation:

1. Glenn Beck, the community organizer -- No other news operation in memory has ever hired its own community organizer, at least not one tasked with the mission of organizing paranoid people to march through the streets of the nation's capital with signs depicting the president of the United States as a mass murderer.

2. Fox's alliance with the corporate-funded astroturf group Americans for Prosperity -- We've scratched our heads trying to come up with an analogous relationship between a cable news channel and a corporate-funded group that organizes fearful people to disrupt public meetings, but we came up empty.

3. On-air fundraising for Republican PACs -- Fox News personalities encourage viewers to contribute money to, and visit the Web sites of, specific Republican-affiliated political action committees. We can't find a single instance of either CNN or MSNBC doing anything of the kind for Democratic causes.

4. Bill O'Reilly, stalker of those whose opinions he doesn't like -- We exhausted all avenues of research trying to find a news show host at another cable news channel who pays his producer to stalk people whose opinions he or she doesn't like. Came up with bupkus. Nor could we find one who locked the media out of remarks she or he was delivering in acceptance of an award from a nonprofit group.

At the annual conference of the religious-right political group, Family Research Council Action, O'Reilly received an award for his vilification of Dr. George Tiller. Tiller was an abortion provider who was gunned down in his church by a man who obviously took to heart references by O'Reilly and others, "Tiller the baby-killer."

5. Sunday talk-show host who promotes Republican falsehoods -- Once upon a time, Chris Wallace, son of the aforementioned Mike, was a real journalist, just like his dad. Then he joined the Fox team, as host of Fox News Sunday, which airs on the Fox's broadcast network.

6. Fox News anchors, show hosts and pundits parrot GOP press releases, or just make up stuff -- Promoting the notion that their organization is on some sort of Nixonian White House "enemies list," Fox News personalities first trotted out the "enemies list" theme in August, when they suggested that the White House, asking for Americans to send the administration any unsolicited e-mails they received that promoted false information about health care reform legislation, was actually compiling an "enemies list."

7. Fox News hosts urge viewers to join a particular political group -- During the run-up to the big right-wing 9-12/Tea Party march on Washington, Fox News entities and personalities repeatedly flogged viewers to join the Tea Party Express, a bus tour of anti-Obama activists.

8. Glenn Beck, deranged inventor of paranoid conspiracies -- Here's a Beck exclusive you won't hear on any of the other cable news networks: OnStar, the GPS/emergency-alert system available in General Motors cars, is being indirectly funded by the auto-industry bailout so the government can spy on you.
